The price wasn't unreasonable. They respond relatively quickly and they respond to emergencies. They were able to let me know that I had a crack in my furnace and replaced the furnace before we had carbon monoxide poisoning.
Description of Work: Thompson's Comfort Connection replaced a chimney on my roof. They also check on all my appliances such as furnace and air conditioner twice a year.

We have been using them for the preventative maintenance for the last 5 years. We are in the market for a furnace right now. We understand that the company has been sold. It was a family owned company and now there is a new owner. They were kind of expensive when they came out for the repair because we had them here on a weekend night. They had to get a parts store to open up for them to get the part so it was kind of a big deal but they got it fixed and it is working right now.
Description of Work: We have used Thompson's Comfort Connection for preventative maintenance. They were last here to do a repair on our furnace.

Travis is a dream. I wouldn't let anyone else work on my furnace or swamp cooler. I've been using this company for about 6 months. When I first moved into my house, I had them come out and make sure my swamp cooler was in good shape for the summer. Travis came out and very patiently explained how a swamp cooler works (this was my first), what the controls do, how to optimize its operation, etc. I had to call him a week later when it stopped working (because I had turned off the water line, thinking it was the backyard lawn faucet - doh!). He swung by that very afternoon, patiently and kindly explained what I had done, and showed me how the various faucets worked. No charge for that visit. So naturally, when it came time to service my furnace for winter and winterize my swamp cooler, I called Travis. He came out promptly, called me several times with progress updates when another emergency made him a bit late, and again spent a good bit of time explaining what he was doing with the furnace, what to look for, how it works, etc. He was very knowledgable not just about the work he was doing, but about various furnace models, and spent some time explaining how furnaces age and at what point I would want to replace this one (it's about 15 years old) - all the while playing with my dog and putting up with her drooling. :) He completed the winterizing of my swamp cooler and even removed the motor. When I asked him why, he explained that motors left out in the winter often just stop working during the summer, while motors that spent the winter protected from the elements can last for a very long time. Was very nice - he didn't have to do that, especially since it was very cold and windy up on the roof! I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone! By the way, the price mentioned above is an annual contract price and covered this service, plus service in the spring when it's time to turn the swamp cooler on again.
Description of Work: Serviced my furnace: Cleaned, performed diagnostics, replaced one small part, performed functionality testing, inspected all parts. Winterized my swamp cooler: Cleaned, removed motor and stored inside house, covered the unit, disconnected and drained the water line.

Professionalism was excellent throughout the entire process. Bill, the owner of the company, is exceptionally knowledgeable about heating systems and was able to easily and skillfully assess our needs and determine the best solution for our home. He was also able to determine what needs we might have for a future addition to our home which allowed us to choose the right type of system (with no additional cost) for our present needs as well as future needs without the necessity of changing or adding on system components. Bill was very patient in reviewing and re-reviewing various companies and components until we felt entirely comfortable with our decision. Installation was a breeze and flowed smoothly. His technicians are very knowledgeable as well and took the time we needed to understand completely the new system. We love our new system: it heats more evenly than our old system and is wonderfully efficient which means better heat for less money -- what's not to love about that? Now I'm thinking I need Bill to come back and look at our cooling system.
Description of Work: Installed a new furnace system including air filter and humidifier.
