They wanted to start working a day earlier than expected, but showed up late and unprepared for the work without the needed tools, expecting to borrow the tools from me. Removed old flooring without a way to dispose of it. Finished early the first day. Showed up late every day there after. Only worked partial days, 4 to 5 hrs max. They would have finished ahead of schedule if they had worked full days. I had to repeatedly to call to see if or when they would show up. When the counter top was brought in, the hole for the sink was cut 18 inches too far to the right, so it had to be re-cut, which took an additional two days. The Bondo used to attach the counter top was placed in the way of the breadboard. When the plumbing was hooked up, it leaked and had to be repaired several times. The backsplash was installed hastily making it difficult to replace the switches and plugs. The gas line for the stove was installed extremely far forward and the tile behind it had to be chiseled out to make the stove fit. While he came across as very professional in the beginning, it turned out that he didn't have the licensing that he claimed to have and he wasn't able to deliver on promises. In the end I was reluctant to give the final payment because I didn't feel the job had been done properly, but was obligated to.

Architectural Stone was one of the lower estimates, which seemed to come in two discrete groups. They said to look for a remnant in their yard or at one other stone supplier. We, amazingly, found a remnant of the desired granite immediately. As we later had problems finding a general contractor, Architectural Stone had to store the remnant for three months. When we needed it, they did the work in a few days. The fitting was very careful. The top looks exactly as desired, and before they left, they cleaned up dust and dirt completely.
Description of Work: Cut and fit a granite countertop for a long narrow vanity.
