+ -1 moreI was completely satisfied with his work. He provided a quote the same day, and started within 2 days after I hired his. He was not the lowest bidder, but was fair and did exactly what he said he would do. I would use him for any future masonry work.
Description of Work: Completely rebuilt the top part of my chimney. The top seven rows of brick had to be removed and cleaned before re-installing. Top cap had to be rebuilt.

+ 0 moreA rep came out, and looked at the broken chimney (which was a result of wind damage), and said the cost was around $3000. The chimney only had a few bricks missing. Once I told told him it will be submitted for insurance claim, he sent an estimate even greater then his first estimate. I didnt trust him, as he only seemed to intrested in how much money he could make. I went we with a bid of that only cost me $480.

+ 0 moreHe was a nice guy and very friendly. We actually ended his work halfway through. We were going to have him do more. It wasn't as high of quality as I would have done so I finished it myself. It was probably pricier than we would have liked to have paid for it. It was more expensive for what we got and not as high quality as I would have liked. I don’t think I would use him again.
Description of Work: I used A-Masonry Brick Repairs to do some brick work. He did some masonry repair on a fireplace chimney flue at the top of the chimney.

+ 0 moreI did not have a positive experience with them. My number is a blocked number. Instead of answering my phone they asked me to hand up. I don’t know why they did that. I assume that they thought I am a solicitor, but I am not. If they are in a business, they are supposed to answer all the calls that go to their business. At first I called the wrong number and redialed the number again, but they basically stopped calling us.
Description of Work: I called A-Masonry Brick Repairs, but they did not talk to me.

When I called the first couple of times, someone would pick up the phone and just hangs up on me without saysing anything. The thrid time I called, someone screams in to the phone and says "HEY, STOP THIS SH*T". Other times there's just no answer.

The work was scheduled for the next week but due to weather conditions, was delayed a few weeks. Overall job was satisfactory and would not hesitate to use him again.

+ 1 moreI would definitely recommend and use him again. Ten years ago, he also repaired a wall across the street and it has help up well. He is also willing to do small jobs which is hard to get folks to do. Most handy men don't do concrete and brick work.
Description of Work: My chimney was in need of having the mortar replaced on the top 3 feet. I found Brent on Angie's List, but I had used him ten years ago when I bought the house to do cement work and also fix some of the chimney. I had lost his contact info, so it was nice finding him again. I called and he came the same day and gave me an estimate of $600 for the chimney and $400 to repair a concrete window sill and some concrete on either side of my front steps. He showed up the next day and did the repairs. Also inspected the chimney cap and sealed a couple of cracks. Great job and very good at clean-up.

+ -1 moreMr. Green quickly returned my phone call and arranged to meet with me the next day. He talked about people's desire to save money, although I didn't express that. I chose not to have him do the work since his solution for addressing the badly deteriorated brick on one chimney was to coat it with epoxy. After talking with other contractors this did not seem to be the best solution.
Description of Work: Got estimate for repairing 2 chimneys on our home. Both have loose and missing bricks at the top. On one, the brick above the roofline is badly deteriorated.

+ -1 moreMr. Green called me back soon after I left a message. He gave me a window of time (within 3 days) that he would come and assess the work. He called before showing up and did come within the time period. He set a window of time (within the week) in which he would start work and he kept to that time. It took him 2 days to finish the job. The job was done well and in a timely manner.
Description of Work: Mr. Green repaired our chimney. The mortar had eroded in many places and some bricks were loose. He replaced the bricks that needed to be replaced and pointed the areas that had eroded.
