Perfect. Wilmer was very professional and very nice. Very nice person to deal with.

He responded promptly to my initial call and we set an appointment date and time to visit our home and inspect the project. I had a change in work plans, so was not home when he came, but my wife was at home to show him the job. He called me from our house saying there was no answer, and that he had to go to a job and could come back later, which I said was fine as my wife was working from home all day. She called me to say she had not heard any door bell or knock all morning, and had been up, ready and waiting at the nominated appointment time. I contacted Wilmer and reconfirmed our address, and said he had been at the right house. Wilmer texted me to say he could come back in the afternoon, but I did not get that message until I finished work that day, and he did not come by, despite me saying earlier to come any time that day. Further attempts to set up an appointment did not go anywhere, as Wilmer did not return my two subsequent phone calls to try and set up an appointment, so I moved on to another contractor.

Wilmer is a wonderful person to work with. He is very knowledgeable about his trade with 16 years in the tiling business. I left him a message to call me about my tile job and he called within an hour or two. We set an appointment for him to come by the house and give me an estimate. He showed up on time and his estimate was less than half of what I had been quoted a few months earlier by another tiler. I hired him immediately and he started work on Feb. 4 and finished on Feb 7, 2014. He is respectful and works quietly along with his partner Francisco. This was not an easy job to accomplish as I live in a 70 yr old house with wavy, crooked walls. Wilmer spent a lot of time using his expertise in leveling the walls. He was creative in finding solutions to problems as they came up. He also had to deal with accent tiles that were a different thickness than the majority tiles for the rest of the walls. We chose to have custom slate tiles cut and set in the corners of the walls instead of soap and bottle holding shelves set in between the studs. Wilmer spent a lot of time making sure the shelves were anchored into the walls correctly to assure they would hold the weight put on them. Francisco did a lot of the special cuts and running back and forth to the tile saw. Wilmer used thin set cement to put two pieces of slate together for each custom-made shelf, making four shelves. This was time-consuming along with anchoring the shelves into the corners of the tub, but Wilmer did an excellent job, making sure everything was level when done. I would not hesitate to refer Wilmer and Francisco to anyone that needs tiling done. The whole experience was positive.
