 + -1 moreThe initial quote I received was $4048. After I received my quote, I indicated that my move would be reimbursed by my new company and that they would need to carefully document the move. They responded by jacking up the quote to $6430 - or a 58% increase. It's clear that they were trying to gouge me.
Description of Work: I requested a survey to pack and freight household goods from Utah to California.

Description of Work: Wasatch Transfer moved our household and a car from Salt Lake City, UT to Charleston SC. They were punctual,courteous and friendly. Everything left and arrived on time undamaged and intact. The only problem I found was that Wasatch uses local moving crews, so the quality of those crews appears to vary based on locale. Our experience in Charleston was very different from the one in Salt Lake City. In Charleston,walls, ceilings, floors (which were all new) underwent moderate damage. Because they were in such a hurry to leave (& I was trapped by my boxes) this could not be addressed before they left. I think this was in part due to lack of supervision. Overall, I would use this service provider again, being more assertive in protecting walls, floors and ceilings from damage if possible.

Description of Work: We had them store our household furnishings, as well as move my office to a new location from our home. Then move our furnishings into the new home when it was ready about 7 weeks later. They were careful and took really good care of our furnishings, etc. Everything went exceptionally smooth.

 + -1 moreThe bid was accurate and provided with me with lots of tips on how to reduce cost. I had a very difficult driveway so two small trucks were needed. The movers were polite, professional and extremely fast. They moved everything out of my three story house to the garage of the new home and then moved it in the next day. The movers were happy to re-position the big heavy pieces so they were exactly in the right place. They also rolled up a large rug that just didn't work in the new home. There was no damage. I was very happy with the service.

 + -1 moreI've used this company numerous times over the past 5-6 years. They started out exceptionally professional. Gradually they stopped arriving up on the arranged date for a move. (I've moved furniture from one home to another approximately 4 times.) Very hard to get calls returned. The last time I used their services, they picked up my household furniture in August 2007 and stored it in their facility in Salt Lake City. In December 2007 my furniture was returned to my home and a number of items were broken. They acknowledged the damage and picked up the broken items, assuring me that they would either be replaced or repaired. Since then, I have called repeatedly, leaving messages for Haze, the owner, to no avail. I have heard nothing from them. They still have the broken items, one of which is a very valuable antique chair. If this is not resolved quickly I am taking them to court. I would not recommend this company to anyone that asks for my opinion of their services. What a shame for a company that started out so professionally to evolve into such an unreliable, dishonest organization.
Description of Work: Wasatch transfer is a moving company that started doing business in the area approximately 8 years ago (I believe). They started out as strictly a moving company and then added storage to their services. In my situation, they have provided both services. I have used their services at least 4 times in the past.
