Vama Flooring

Very well. Finished in timely fashion and finished product looks very good. Hallway looks like new and more spacious as well. Gave good advice and tips and included me in the installation process for any necessary decision making.

The costs were low and the work was done quickly. Vahe, with Vama Flooring, is a very nice guy, who was easy to get in touch with. Our issue with the work is that there wasn't very much attention to detail and the finishing touches. We had him come back twice to make adjustments and additions to get the finishing touches done. He worked quickly and was eager to please, however there are still some details that don't look perfect and if he had been more methodical and intentional with the work it could look better and last longer (especially around the edges).

Originally, I contacted Vahe to install a bamboo floor that I had not been able to install. Vahe found that the product was defective and could not be installed. He helped me choose a laminate flooring instead. Vahe made a special trip back to my house the next day during a snow storm to get my floor installed. He worked quickly and was very helpful with all of my questions. Vahe also made an additional trip back to my house to finish the baseboards because he had been unable to finish due to the worsening show. I would highly recommend Vahe and his work. He was great at keeping in contact with me, he left the work area clean and neat, and his work looks beautiful. I am very happy with the finished floor.

Vahe was awesome. He was very flexible and came to give me an estimate on Sunday. He installed the Pergo flooring we had purchased four years ago. He took a piece with him to see if he could find a match for the transition pieces and T- molding. He went to several stores to find something similar in color. He told me he would have it done in one day and it was. He gives a year warranty on his work. He met every commitment he made and did a great job. He is professional and really wants his customers to be pleased. He gave the best price for the work I needed done and I would highly recommend him.

He was great. I really appreciated him, he was very quick to respond to calls and emails. We used quantum flooring and it appears to have worn or scraped edges, the only complaint I have was with the quality of the laminate flooring. Vama was great, I would definitely recommend them for laminate even though we are not fully happy with the product that we purchased. The service and workmanship were great. For the quality of the product, we would give it a B but for the quality of the company it is an A.

Vahe was great to work with. He tried to work around my schedule to give me an estimate. Initially I was going to have him finish stripping and refinishing the original hardwood floors that were in the house around 900 square feet of hardwood. We just bought the house and liked the hardwood that was under the carpet. Unfortunately we did not realize that you need to refinish the floors every five years or so. So I had two contractors come out to give bids. Vahe's bid was comparable to the first contractors but he was willing to make some pieces to fix some damaged sections of the floor and make it look its best. As an after thought, Vahe recommended laminate floors since he said they could last up to 15 years and with my dog and baby daughter they would be less likely to get damaged. He also told us if we went to laminate he could lay the same flooring in our kitchen versus the tile that was in there. His quote with materials was less than the original bid to refinish the existing floors. I talked with my wife and we decided that laminates might be a better option for us. Vahe gave us the name of his laminate flooring supplier. So he had us order and pay them directly $1668. Then he had us leave the supplies in our house for three days for them to acclimate. After that he installed them over the course of four days. The floors look very beautiful and he did an amazing job in our kitchen making toe kicks under all the cabinets with the flooring so that everything matches beautifully. He also stayed in contact with me the whole time and told me which rooms he would be doing each day and how long he expected it to take. He also worked around my schedule to make sure he was finished in time and that I was able to view the house complete and have a walk through before I paid him, his final cost for 3 bedrooms, hallway, living room, dining area and kitchen was $1116 for labor. He did make a couple of holes in the drywall above the baseboards where he was removing and installing the baseboards but with as old as everything is in the house is I do not hold it against him. Vahe also brought my trash can in for me on the day that trash came and he was there, as well as covered our appliances with blankets when he was working. Everything was always very clean and very professional. I would highly recommend Vahe, and his company Vama Flooringcovering to anyone that needs laminate flooring.

Vahe tore out the flooring in our kitchen and dining room because we had some water damage. He first sealed the kitchen and dining room off with plastic drapes. He explained everything he was going to do before he started the job. He was punctual and professional. He did a beautiful job installing the flooring and finishing around the cupboards and island. Helped move the furniture, stove and refrigerator and left the work area clean .I would highly recommend him .

Overall it went very well and the workman ship is excellent. He was not on time but that did not bother me. He cleaned up each night and he did not rush the job. Vahe listened to what I needed and made suggestions. I was impressed that he took accountability when he scratched a small area of the floor with my old furniture. It was not his fault that my old sofa had a rough leg and scratched the floor. He offered to remove and replace the floor. We negotiated some extra work for the base boards and I agreed to no need to remove. I would recommend Vama flooring .... Craig

The match was excellent. The work is beautiful with great attention to detail. The price was VERY reasonable. Vahe is an intelligent, thoughtful and pleasant person to work with.

Vahe and his assistant ripped out all the horrible carpet that we inherited in this new home and took it all away. They also took off the baseboards---something that most installers do NOT do, but you get a much better look when the product can go all the way to the wall. Of course, all the baseboard was replaced (and they even repaired some that was damaged by the previous owners!) and Vahe did a beautiful job of adding detailed trim that gives the floor an even classier look. I just can't say enough about Vahe's professionalism and his courtesy and kindness to my daughter and me! We were concerned about our cats getting out, but it was never an issue because he never opened a door without making sure no one was trying to escape and that meant so much to us. Two things: First, If I had an unlimited amount of money and could rip out the laminate and replace it with expensive hardwood, I wouldn't! That's how amazingly beautiful this Pergo looks! Second, if I won a contest and could have floors done for free by someone else, I wouldn't! No one but Vahe will ever do my floors! The standard for the best customer service has been set and I honestly don't expect anyone else to measure up!

When we initially contacted Vahe regarding flooring installation, he responded promptly and enthusiastically; setting up a time for an estimate. He arrived on time for our appointment (despite others' reports of being hard to find) and was very helpful. Vahe is both personable and knowledgeable. He provided multiple samples of laminate for our appointment, including a variety of widths and colors, and provided pictures of the flooring installed. He offered insights into laminate flooring that we had not yet considered and readily answered our many questions. He quickly quoted the install for us (at a very competitive rate). After learning that we planned on removing our own baseboards, he even took a couple minutes to demonstrate how. After we had seen and selected our flooring, Vahe was able to fit us in his schedule more quickly than we had anticipated. The install went smoothly and Vahe was very accommodating, allowing us add two additional areas to our install. Due to a hectic schedule, we were unable to do a final with Vahe present, but were very impressed with the final product. The area was left clean and the workmanship was excellent. One concern we had beforehand was the possibility of the laminate looking too repeat-y, with similar boards being placed too near each other and making the floor look obviously fake. True to his word, Vahe did such a great job mixing and arranging the laminate that it took substantial effort to even find to matching boards. The floors look fantastic and we love them. After we checked out the final product, Vahe sent us our final invoice and, even with the additional areas, the total was hardly any higher than originally quoted. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Vahe. We would definitely hire him again and recommend his services to anyone looking for great floors!

-Vahe, the owner of Vama Flooring, tried to help me out of the bind when my original installer failed to show up. He made a special trip, gave me a very competitive bid as well as offered several options that none of the previous installers had mentioned as to achieving the look that my wife and I wanted. I've felt very confident and comfortable with his work as I watched him solve little problems, come up with alternate technical solutions as well as textures and colors that I didn't know were available. I am a professional carpenter and knew that I was looking at a skilled craftsman. He was always on time, was careful to keep my home as clean as possible and cleaned up his work area at the end of each day. Because we had installed new oak stair treads he had to come back several times to seal and then finish the stairs with a total of four coats. He always made the time work for me when necessary. We came up with a two color stair tread and riser design that required extra work and some attention to detail. It worked out beautifully! I originally had another installer schedule to do this job but he stood me up the day the installation was to begin. I had all of the furniture etc. from a living room, dining room and kitchen shoved into other bedrooms. This of course really messes up your lifestyle. I appreciate his being willing to drop what he was doing and run out to give me a bid and then... reschedule some of his pending work so I could get my house back together sooner than later. Vahe was outstanding. His work was of excellent quality and he completed the project on time. This is the second time we've used Vahe and he continues to surpass our expectations.

Vahe was professional from start to finish. Responded on the same day to my request for a quote. We scheduled a time for the work (over two separate days). He showed up as scheduled exactly on time. He and his fellow worker addressed all concerns and helped resolve issues. They cleaned up and hauled away the old carpeting. Vahe is personable, knowledgeable and charges a fair price. I will definitely call him again for any future work.

Vahe and his assistant removed all the carpeting and padding and Vahe evened out the floor with concrete. They returned two days later and finished the installation in one day. Vahe used moldings that worked with the molding I already had, which I wanted to keep. The floor is beautiful, and the final price was exactly what he'd promised. Thank you, Vahe!

Vahe was AWESOME. Very responsive, prompt, and professional. He returned my initial call within 10 minutes, and put us on his schedule for 3 days from that point. He arrived early, worked late, and was finished in 3 days. His bid was $1000 below what others had been, and he used high-quality, but affordable materials. The finished job is beautiful, and working with Vahe was delightful in every way possible.

The floors turned out to be a graet value considering Vahe's excellent workmanship and the lovely flooring from Khauntum. I would definitely use him again & recomend him highly. Just wish he installed ceramic tile as the bathroom floors will be my next project!

He was fantastic. He is very efficient. He had to remove the old floor which we thought was glued down. The floor turned out to be nailed down which took less time so he lowered the cost which I was impressed with. I would highly recommend him.

If you're looking for an excellent business to perform any flooring work for you (hardwood/laminate etc.), do yourself a huge favor and look no further than Vama Floorcovering. Don't continue to be frustrated with other companies and their high estimates and poor customer service. I spent nearly 6 months getting estimates from various companies in the Salt Lake Valley to do a 750 sq. foot, 3-room laminate job. I waited and waited for calls to be returned, and the frustration continued to mount. Eventually, I joined Angie's List, read reviews of various companies, and decided to put in an estimate inquiry on Vama's website. This was at about 9pm at night, so I didn't expect a call for a day or so. Much to my surprise, Vahe (the owner and primary installer) called me within 5 minutes, and offered to come out the very next day to measure and give an estimate. Talk about a pleasant surprise and excellent customer service! Vahe came to my home, measured, and prepared an estimate. The estimate was exactly where we hoped (and expected) it would be, and he helped us picked the right product for our needs. The install was completed right on time and the result is a fantastic job at a great price. The best part of the whole experience was working with Vahe. He's a very polite and friendly man, and he's very helpful in answering any questions you might have during the process. I could really tell he has passion for and takes pride in his work. I would recommend Vama Floorcovering to anyone. If you need flooring work done, start with Vama. You couldn't pick a better business to work with. We are absolutely satisfied with the work and quality of Vahe. I routinely used to use KSL to identify individuals to work on my home, only to be frustrated by no-shows, late arrivals, and poor quality work. Vahe is the opposite. Vahe is a passionate individual who takes tremendous pride in his work. Throughout the project, we discovered small issues with our home and Vahe routinely provided simple solutions to these problems. He is truly a problem solver. Vahe (VAMA) did excellent job installing flooring, attaching existing baseboards, caulking them, installing transitions. Vahe also went beyond my expectations by purchasing a few moldings and installing them. This was extra work he did without extra charge !!! I would recommend VAMA and Vahe in particular to perform the laminate floor installation to everyone who is looking for high quality work.
