Twigs Flower Company

I ordered flowers from the FTD website. Even though the flowers were being delivered to a local hospital I ordered them online because they had a discount offer if you ordered flowers from their website. They chose Twigs to fill the order. The website had many different floral arrangements and each arrangement had a choice of good, better or best. I chose the best. The discription showed a vase with a little teddy bear attached to the vase. The vase was to have 18 stems in it. When it arrived there was 1 Gerber daisy. 2 roses and 2 carnations. I wouldn't have paid $15.00 for it at the grocery store let alone from a florist. It was embarrassing to have my name attached to it. I called Twigs and they were apologetic and said they would send another arrangement on the following day. I told them that they could take the first one back when they brought the new one. The second arrangement never came.

I ordered a flower arrangement through ftd.com and the order was filled by Twigs Flower Company. It was supposed to be a mixed arrangment of roses, carnations, daisies, poms with 24 stems for $60. What I received from Twigs was 3 roses and 4 carnations of mediocre quality and two tiny lillies of poor quality. It was in the correct container but did not look like the ftd arrangement and was not pretty. I had intended to use it as decoration on a side table for Thanksgiving but it looked so sad that I didn't use it. I tried to reuse the flowers in another arrangement of my own creation, but the Twigs flowers had 2" stems on them, were beginning to wilt after only one day and were difficult to work with. I just threw the lillies away. I understand that sometimes substitutions need to be made, but this arrangement was just lacking in quantity and quality. I wouldn't use Twigs for any floral needs. Ever. The order was with ftd.com but Twigs Flower Company has final responsiblity for the quality of their product. The only good thing is that I sent this arrangement to myself. I would have been extremely embarrassed had I sent this pitiful arrangement as a gift to someone. Update: I have received an apology from Ray at Twigs and a gift certificate in lieu of reimbursement, so I'm raising my rating to C. The reason I'm not giving them a better rating is because even though I plan on using this gift certificate, I wouldn't otherwise order flowers from them.
