Description of Work: He came out to quote a concrete job. He was on time. We walked through the job and he gave a bid that was higher than other quotes I received. I told him the price of other quotes and he immediately matched the price. Then as the date to start the job got closer, he started getting weird (that uncomfortable, confrontational vibe). He kept wanting more money and was complaining. Finally, I just got a very bad feeling and we decided to find someone else before he started the job. I am so much happier. The new company... The new concrete company is very professional and do this all the time. Their price is better, they have warranties for the work, and this is their full-time job (vs an occasional type of work that T H does).

Description of Work: Tauake and his crew built a rather complicated system of walls and stairs in our back yard and a 8 x 20 ft. patio. Some sections of the walls were 8 ft. high and all required digging into the rocky hillside to build the walls and back filling the dirt behind the new walls to increase the flat usable area of the yard. Tauake's English isn't perfect and drawings and discussions are useful. He is very honest and will work with you to get just what you want done. He underbid the job and after seeing how hard his crew worked we decided to increase the amount we would pay for the job but Tauake would have done the job for the original amount because he sticks to his word. Even with the increased money his bid was still the most reasonable of the 4 bids we gathered. Tauake and his crew were very pleasant to deal with and finished the job in good time and much to our satisfaction.

He installed rock walls in front and back yard, replaced sod in parkstrip and installed automatic sprinkling system.
