STEVE'S STUMP GRINDING, LLC

The grinding machine appeared pretty new and heavy duty, and made quick work of the stumps. The total time took about 45 minutes. The operator had to remove a few slats from the old fence to give himself enough room to operate, and did so quickly and graciously. He cleaned up the area well, and left a pile of shavings right where we had agreed on. Great experience, did exactly what had been outlined (and maybe a little more), and did it in a very timely manner. I was impressed with the overall quality of the service, and particularly that I got same day service (actually same morning service).

Steve and his assistant Floyd were wonderful to work with. Floyd showed up earlier than I was told he would (which was awesome because we were trying to get out of town. He was professional and friendly. They did exactly what we asked them to do at a very fair price.

I had two 75 foot spruce trees taken out 2 1/2 years ago, and I've been working on getting rid of the stumps myself since then. I barely made a dent in one of them, by chopping, sawing, and burning. The other stump hasn't been touched since the day Pebblebrook Tree Service cut both trees down. The stumps themselves were 4 or 5 feet across, with the tentacle-like surface roots typical of spruce trees spreading out another 8 or 10 feet. One stump was in our back yard and the other was next to the house where we want to put in a shed. This week my wife had had enough and she told me she wanted the stumps out NOW! Pebblebrook doesn't grind stumps but they recommended Steve when they took the trees out 2 1/2 years ago, so I checked out Steve's on Angie's List, finding only perfect reviews and very happy customers. So I called Steve and although he was quite busy, he agreed to come a couple of days later. Since the stumps and related roots were so large I was afraid that we could only afford to have Steve take out one stump now and the other in a few months, but Steve's price was so reasonable we were able to have him take out both at the same time! He even had to remove the dual rear wheels on his enormous stump grinder to get through our 4 foot gates into the back yard. Steve did a fabulous job, totally obliterating the stumps. He left the wood chips for us to use as mulch in our gardens, just as we had asked. My wife has commented several times about how polite Steve was. Even if the tree service you use grinds stumps, I strongly recommend that you have Steve do it - you won't be sorry!

Solid Guys. Solid Work. They responded same day and gave me a fair price to grind the stump. I really appreciated the get after it no nonsense way of the two gentlemen I worked with. They were straightforward and competent. I will call them again when I need more stump work.

Steve was very professional. He was running late but he kept me informed. He came in and really took care in trying to grind the stumps which were in clumps because of this bizzare bush that was growing all over the place after we cut it down. He was very patient and spent several hours digging to clear all but two of the hardest ones that were surrounded by rocks. He hit two sprinkler lines but this was unavoidable and he had warned me about this. Overall, very well done and gave me the Angies list discount. Highly recommended.

Floyd did the work as promised and it was quick. He was very personable and knowledgeable.

Steve called and made the appointment, He came out the same day I called and I was very flexible since he was able to give me same day service. When was running a little late he called and kept me appraised of his ETA. When he got here, he looked the job over and gave me a price. He had to cut down the stump further, and take a sledge hammer to an old pond I am taking out. He left the extra wood and a nice pile of shavings. The price was GREAT and the service was awesome. I cannot imagine ever leaving a dead old stump now since the removal was so slick and affordable. I really enjoyed Steve. Great guy! Thanks.

I needed to have eight medium-sized stumps -- some of them in difficult-to-reach locations -- removed. Steve's assistant Floyd came promptly, assessed the situation, and gave me an estimate. He took careful note of nearby sprinkler lines. He then returned a week later, as scheduled, and did the job while I was away on a trip. I had used this company before and so knew I could trust them to do the job without my supervision.

Steve returned my call the same day I inquired about service. Time was of the essence for me, so I appreciated this. Even better, he was able to schedule service within two days. His colleague arrived a few minutes early and was exceptionally friendly and personable. He went right to work and was finished quickly. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend them.

Steve was to the point and professional in giving me a fair estimate over the phone, and date to do the work. I had two or three very large stumps to remove, and it was cool to watch them work. It only took about an hour! Easily one of the easiest vendor transactions I've had since remodeling my entire house this last year. So SO much cheaper and safer than renting a unit and trying to do it myself. Thanks Steve!

This was probably the best money I've spent. Trying to deal with this over the past couple of years, Steve's came discussed with me what to do and handled it for me. They were great

He was on time, and did a great job. We were really impressed with his service. He was really good overall.

We had a delay due to the rain. They kept in contact with me and came as soon as the ground was dry enough. He was on time and very courteous. He gave me a multi-stump discount. He went right to work and was extremely careful not to hit anything as the stumps were very close to the house. These guys are awesome and will use them again when I need stumps removed.

I had another tree service remove some trees and grind the stumps. They rented a stump grinding machine that could only go about 6 inches deep. That didn't remove most of the material, so I was unable to plant new trees in the same locations. I called Steve's Stump Grinding Service and he came the next morning. His machine was amazing. It took about 5 minutes to completely remove a stump. It chewed through wood, rocks, and clay soil like they weren't there. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely use this company again!

You have heard the saying ?Above and Beyond.? That is Steve in a nut shell. Steve, I?m sorry for taking so long to write this review. If you want a fantastic job done, hire Steve! Like the other comments/reviews, he came on time, quoted a very fair price, and did a most excellent job. I was so impressed by Steve as a person, from when he gave me a quote that I told many of my neighbors, friends and family about him. It is such an awesome feeling to know that the work you will have done will be completed to the highest standards even before he has started. I had about 21 stumps to remove. Once on the job, we found one or two other small stumps that he removed just as a courtesy. I was impressed how quickly he completed the job. His price was so good that when it came time to write him a check I paid him more than his bid. Steve, thank you so much for the awesome work you did. I would hire Steve again and recommend him to my dear sweet grandma.

Everything went exactly as I wanted on this job. Steve was timely, knew what he was doing, quoted a fair price and stuck to it. The site looks nice and I choose to just plant grass in the area. I would hire Steve again.

Just as I said--they gave me a bid over the phone after I described the stumps. They came out and ground down the dead stumps to just below ground level, as this was going to be a patio area...they left a lot of wood chips and such, but I didn't care all that much, as they charged a really fair price.

He did a very good job. He explained what he was going to do and took the time to dig around the sprinklers to find our what direction they were doing to avoid damage. Two of the small stumps were too close to the fence to use the grinder and so he dug those out with a pick by hand. He replaced the dirt and left everything looking nice.

Steve removed 7 stumps for me today. He did a great job. I told him that in one area where I had a large stump and several small ones, I was going to put in a small pergola. Not only did he remove all the stumps and grind down the above ground roots, he graded it for me at no charge! If you need this kind of service, he's the guy to call.

Steve was great! Showed up exactly when he said he would, and did a great job getting out a huge (30 inch diameter) stump in our yard, that was right next to a fence. He also removed two other small tree stumps. In all cases, he did a fantastic job. To top it off, the price was a little less than we expected.

When I called Steve the first time he was very pleasant and informative on the phone. At that point, we had some fairly new cement that he was going to have to go over to get to the stump and from what he told me we decided that it would probably be best to let it cure more before he went over it to get to the stump. However, it turned out that we needed the stump removed sooner. I called him and he said he would go by and take a look and talk to the contractor who was there doing the garage and had also done the cement work. He got to the house - took a look and gave me a call saying that after talking to the contractor, it would be no problem. If I would like him to go ahead and do it while he was there it would be $50.00. I told him to go ahead and do it and I could leave work and run a check over to him, He said not to worry about leaving work, that I could just mail him the check! I was very pleasantly surprised at this. When I got home after work, you could hardly tell where the stump had been if you didn't already know. I was very happy with my dealings with Steve - even though I never even met him...I would definitely recommend him and will be using his company again next year when we get ready to have some other stumps removed.

They were very good and I would be happy to have them back. They were very professional. The pricing was very good and they were very responsive.

We spent about $50 on that service. He was punctual and careful in his work. He did a really good job actually.

Excellent. I had two 5 foot high stumps that were too big for me to cut, and he cut them before starting grinding. He showed up on time, made sure we knew the cost before he started. He cleaned up everything very neatly. I would highly recommend him.

I found Steve's name on Angie's List and called him. He came to my home about a week later, on schedule. I showed him where the four bush stumps and one tree stump were, pointing out that they were near some underground sprinkler lines. He maneuvered a large cutting machine down a path to my backyard, taking care not to damage anything on the way. He cut and removed all five stumps, taking care not to damage any of the sprinkler lines. His helper cleaned up after him. It was all done in less than an hour, for a very reasonable price.
