I'm frustrated at having to deal with foreign representatives when calling their call center. It was an aggravating process to try to get them to fix this, and it's still not fixed.

Store personnel were friendly and knowledgeable; we thought we were getting a great deal by purchasing a floor model. Installers arrived on time, and installed dishwasher without incident... Until they told me "good news and bad news... the dishwasher is installed properly but it doesn't work". Turns out it would fill with water, but not wash. So, the saga begun... numerous calls to the store department; four unsuccessful attempts to reach the store manager. Found out only that this is a discontinued model, no other ones in the Milwaukee area, so according to Sears, I should come in, make another purchase..... Essentially, I have a $900 useless piece of junk, am out an old dishwasher that still worked well enough to wash dishes, am out an entire day of work and have to start all over again. Now I am waiting for a call back to schedule another day off work to get this removed... so I can buy a different dishwasher elsewhere. Friendly salespeople and phone answerers, but lousy product and lousy customer service.

I got a quote from five companies and Sears was the worst experience I had. He brought a very old laptop computer with him that took a very long time to start. Once he got everything started, he insisted that I sit through his PowerPoint presentation even though I knew exactly what I was looking for. He was here for an hour and a half and he wanted to be here longer. He kept asking that I refer him to my neighbors because they may also want a new system. I asked for brochures but he did not carry them because he represented too many products and he didn't have space to carry a brochure for all of them. He was high pressure and he told me I needed to make a decision on the spot in order to get a special price.

After receiving an extremely high estimate, the salesperson tried to pressure me into signing a contract that very day. I was told that if I didn't sign that day, I would loose the $800 discount he was offering me. I was presented a generic contract; actually not a contract at all, it was a sheet of paper with only the Sears logo on it and was told to just sign my name at the bottom. No written estimates or type of furnace and AC unit were indicated on that sheet of paper.

He gave me a number to call because he couldn't give me an estimate. He said I would need gas contractors, plumbers, and electrical contractors. The other places I called would have done the entire job themselves.
