Dr. Saltz perfomed the procedure on Jan. 3, 2013. He and his nurse Tara have been extremely professional and in constant communication with me before, during and after the procedure. They have answered all of my questions during the recovery period and helped me with some 'anxious' moments since this is the first such procedure I have ever had. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I was interested in a facelift and needed advice on what was appropriate for my condition. Dr. Saltz and his staff were punctual and took as much time as I needed to ask questions. I felt very comfortable and confident in their answers.

I would say that he is an artist. I had had a reduction when I was a teen and needed to replace fullness after 3 children. He performed scar-revision and an augmentation and it looks perfect! Recovery was easy as well.
Description of Work: They did a breast augmentation - increase in size.

Dr. Saltz came highly recommended by several people who had used him in the past. His offices and staff are extremely professional and they did a great job making me feel comfortable both before and after the surgery. He is board certified and is truly an artist.
Description of Work: Dr. Saltz performed a mastopexy and breast augmentation. Amazing results and I couldn't be happier with the surgery & recovery time.

I was referred to Dr Saltz by an expert in mid face lifts from Georgia, as someone in Utah who was good with this procedure. Originally I went in for just a mid face lift. Dr Saltz talked me into getting a lower (jawline) face lift as well. Although I didn't think the lower part needed it, I figured he might be able to do the middle face better if he was able to get the greater exposure by doing the lower face as well. The actual procedure went ok with no infection or major wound complications, except for a couple small suture-wound granulomas (bumps), that I could live with, and a large amount of post-op swelling. The major problem was that after swelling went down, one side of my face was much looser and less "lifted" than the other. Therefore the sides looked very asymmetric. Although most faces are a little asymmetric to begin with, this was much more than a little and much more than preoperatively. Now I have to consider having a corrective procedure on the left side just to even out the sides (which is a pain after devoting all that money and time). Another, more minor problem, was that Dr Saltz wasn't around for my post operative care. A nurse practitioner took out sutures, changed dressings etc (and also tried to sell me some expensive "magic" skin potions). Anyway, as a physician myself (general practice) I advise people to look elsewhere if you're thinking of having a procedure with this surgeon. Dr Saltz is a somewhat flashy individual, active in his professional plastic surgery society, he's edited a book, and writes some professional papers but his actual surgical skill, at least with me, was lacking. I wonder if lots of professional activity may actually decrease a doctors individual skills. Sometimes you're better off going with a less well-known doctor, who may be better at his job because he has more time to devote to his patients, and to honing his everyday techniques. I should have known this, as I had seen it before with Orthopedic Surgeons, but I went by another doctor's referral rather than satisfied patient referrals. I paid the price. A well-satisfied patient who has used the doctor themselves is your best referral source to a good doctor. Sometimes doctors just refer patients to their friends. Also a good source of referral, if you know any, are nurses and others who work for a hospital in the operating room and have personally observed plastic surgeons at work.
Description of Work: Face lift and laser resurfacing of old acne scarring.
