Ran a snake in toilet until it ran free. Then he tested it several times with several sheets of toilet paper to make sure it was working. When I asked about a warranty he said he could not give one because someone could take a dump in it and clog it again. He did recommend not using Charmin toilet paper so we did. The toilet clogged after one week of use.

On Friday night, we noticed sewage backing up in our basement (out of the pipe that the washing machine drains into) whenever the toilet was flushed or if the shower ran too long. We had somebody else come out and run a snake through our toilet. It did not clear our clog. For the next 2 days we called dozens of contractors trying to find somebody who would come out and fix our problem. It was the weekend before Christmas and nobody wanted to come out until Monday. We left a message for Rooter Wizard and early Monday morning, he promptly returned our call. He came out right away, was VERY responsive to our concerns and did everything he could to make the job run smoothly. He explained our options and we agreed that the jetter (run through the roof vent), followed by a camera scope were going to be the best course of action. He quoted us $350/ hr for the jetter (including the camera scope afterward) and got to work right away. Because we have a very old house, our set-up running to the washing machine is very prone to flooding. We were very concerned that, since the line was still clogged, the jetter (which adds a LOT of water to the line) would cause another flood in the basement. He offered to either cap the pipe while jetting or temporarily re-configure the set-up to redirect any possible overflow into a bucket. He discussed the pros and cons of each option and made his recomendation, but was ultimately ready and willing to do whatever we wanted. He also had great suggestions for jetting methods that would minimize the chance of an overflow. In the end, we had next to nothing spill out, and the little that did, emptied into the bucket thanks to his ingenious re-configuring. In all he spent about 2 hours on our job, but only charged us for one. While he was here, we asked an unrelated question about our toilet. The last person that re-attached it did not install a new wax seal and we were concerned. He agreed that the wax seal should be replaced each time the toilet is attached, so when he was done clearing our line, he took off our toilet and re-attached it CORRECTLY with a new wax seal, charging us only $6 to cover the cost of the wax seal. Overall, he was very professional and extremely patient, taking time to thoroughly and thoughtfully answer every one of our questions and address each of our concerns to our complete satisfaction. His price was very fair compared to other quotes we received, his work was superior and his customer service was unparalleled.
