I had a 30 year warranty on my old roof and needed a replacement after only 15 years. I contacted Ron Case Roofing and received an estimate. He said he would work with the old shingle company to get my adjustment. They came out and started the replacement and noticed the plywood under was roiting. They gave me an adjusted estimare for those repairs. Also, during the replacement I had them change the location of some of my venting pipes. We also talked about a new vent system for the attic. I approved of all the changes and the new estimate. The work was done in a timely manner and looked great. Ron Case came buy and inspected his employees work and answered all our questions. I would recommend Ron Case Roofing to anybody.

I have an addition on the back of my house which is relatively small (about 10' x 16' maybe) and it was not built correctly. The roof especially was shoddy and leaked. Recently I wanted to get my house in shape for a possible sell. So I contacted roofing companies and found the job was too small for most companies to even bother with. Finally I called Ron Case Roofing and someone promptly responded. He was professional and gave me a written estimate of $1,940. He indicated that if the roof had rotted the wood underneath, that it would be replaced and the price he quoted was (to me) reasonable. So I did not argue when they said the wood was indeed bad and that it needed replacing. However the bill he handed me at the end of the job was over $1000 more than the quote. I asked why it was so much and the contractor said that was what was agreed to. I wanted to argue about it, but felt I did not have the knowledge or the background to question their methods. Since that job was finished I have had two other individuals, one of whom is a professional contractor, tell me I was ripped off. The price was greatly inflated from what it should cost, according to these other sources.
Description of Work: Watch these guys. They will come out for a free estimate and quote you a low price, BUT they will find, after tearing off your old roof, some way to jack the cost by providing expensive materials. They quoted me $1940 - it ended up costing $3000. I would not recommend them because I feel I was ripped off.

Shane Case came over to give an estimate. He seemed nice, and knowledgeable. I had already obtained another estimate from a different company for comparison. When Shane was finished, I told him I had scheduled another estimate and I would get back with him when I had decided. He became high pressure, telling me that I needed to decide now so he could get the work done, and how great his company was, hiring exelent employees and using better supplies than other companies, so I shouldnt delay in hiring him, he wouldnt take no for an answer. So I gave in and told him I would hire him, I was thinking since the estimates were very close, it would be okay to hire Shane, just to get rid of him. I was hoping to schedule the repair on my day off of work, but Shane called me at work saying the crew was ready to begin work. My roomate was home so I agreed. He kept in contact over my cell phone of what was going on. He let me know that when old shingles were removed, he found that the plywood underneath was old and dried out and he didnt recommend nailing new shingles to old wood. It would almost double the estimate price from $5,990. to $10,990., but he would give me a discount since he was replacing the roof, the extra amount would be $4,100. I was'nt pleased, but felt I could'nt change roofers now that the work was started, so I told him well the roof needs to be done, so go ahead and replace the plywood on the entire roof. They did the work in one day and cleaned up. But the clean up was'nt very good. They left nails all over the yard around the house. I called Shane to see what he could do. He said he had a big magnet attached to a device similar to a lawn mower, that would pick up the nails. Which he did, and eliminated most of the nails. Then on my bank statement I noticed an overcharge from Shane of $810. So I went down to Ron Case Roofing office to resolve this. The secretary was nice enough to run my credit card to refund the amount.
Description of Work: Removed existing shingles and hauled away. Installed combination Drip Metal and all Metal Flashings. Installed 25 year Fire Rate Shingles with High Wind Nailing Pattern. Installed extra venting caps.

Part of our roof was leaking, so they just fixed that part of the roof. It took them a long time to get it done. I think they overcharged me. When they finally did get here, they seemed to do a good job.
