Mike Donehue Siding

The experience went great. He did the work when he said he would do the work. There were some issues with prior workmanship from prior modifications from before I moved in, such as lack of home wrap and some jerry-rigged things. He installed house wrap and corrected the half-*** work arounds from the prior owners without charging me extra. He was very easy to work with and knowledgable in his trade. He cleaned up afterwards so well that it was like there was no evidence of him having been there at all. The end product looks great. Overall, Mike was easy to work with and takes pride in his work. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of new siding. The only thing that may be somewhat of an issue for some is that he does not carry a cell phone, so when you call, be sure to leave a message. He responds promptly, almost always later on the same day, but can be tough to get ahold of directly.

Mike's bid was the lowest we received and his excellent ratings on Angie's List convinced us we'd be satisfied with his work. Mike was on the job early each day and completed the work as promised. He even installed additional product that we were not expecting. So glad we hired him.

He is a true craftsman, a master at his trade. I was very impressed with his desire to fix all of the damaged areas so that it looked like new. He found creative solutions to fix the damage in some of the areas, and blended the old and new vinyl siding in a seamless manner so that you didn't notice any new siding was used. Mike was right on time for his appointment on a Saturday (July 2nd), and finished the job three days later as promised. I trust him and his work. Highly Recommended!!!

Mike was very professional and did a great job. He came right out to give me a detailed estimate and he was able to get to my repair job the very next day. He has an eye for detail and is a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to anyone.

Pride!!!! That is what I think of during my dealings with Mr. Donehue. The price was fair, the quality of workmanship was excellent. He arrived on time, completed his work in a timely manner, and cleaned up everything after he was done. Most important to me was the quality of workmanship he did. It was a fairly small job but that didn't matter to him. Big or small I would trust him to do an excellent job, do what he says he will do, when he says it will be done. The soffit was installed with no damage and no corners cut. From what I saw, Mike does a great job because he takes PRIDE in his work. An honest day's work for honest pay. I'm glad I found him on Angie's List and I will definitely pass his name on to my friends.

They were so impressed with his work they requested a bid for work on their home-again-the quote was reasonable enough they signed up. Wow, I can't say enough good about Mike. He is an artist, a perfectionist, and an honest professional. He is making an honest living, and as a one-man-show, he passes the savings on to his customers. He definitely knows his craft. He understands siding inside and out. He's confident and competent and humble. He came to give me a bid the day after we talked, and he was on time. He gave me the lowest bid I had gotten, all while instilling total confidence in his abilities without salesman-like showmanship. He squeezed my relatively small job in between some bigger jobs so that I didn't have to wait as long. He was finishing the siding on a garage addition that my husband and I started, but we had lost momentum on. When I ran out of siding because I misjudged originally, he promptly came and finished once the new siding was in. He also offered to patch some old siding that I thought couldn't be patched. I accepted, paid a little extra, and was amazed that he was able to make it look like it had always been perfect. I wouldn't have attempted it myself. I was impressed with every aspect of my interaction with Mike.

He was excellent. Gave me the bid quickly, showed up when he said he would, came in right on budget and right on timeline. His was the lowest bid - by a considerable amount - and I have to believe it was probably the best quality work I was going to get n matter how much I payed. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Mike was the best choice for this job. We live in an area where there is a lot of wind. Other contractors would not even call me back when they realized that it was only a single wall. Mike was able to clear his schedule so that we could have the job done in a timely manner. He even finished before he said he would be done. He found a good siding match for our original siding, cut and installed it perfectly. He is very professional and courteous. He even gave us a lifetime guarantee, knowing the amount of wind that the house endures. I'm very satisfied.

Mike was terrific! In making his initial estimate, he was very careful to look at all of the potential trouble spots, and he gave us a clear idea of what his work plan would be, including a firm timeline. We were happy to accept his bid, since it was the lowest by just a bit and he did not hem and haw about potential extra charges -- he considered taking care of contingencies to be part of the job. The siding was not delivered to him on time, but he let us know that early and kept us up to date on its arrival. Once the siding arrived, he worked tirelessly to get the job done quickly, yet he was very thorough and meticulous. Our house is older and has places that are tricky to cover properly with siding but Mike had no problems getting the job done, and the final product looks great! He also left the work area spotless when he finished. Mike has an exceptional work ethic and really is a craftsman when it comes to siding. I would highly recommend him for any siding job.

Highly professional, responsible contractor. Work ethic 100% as is reliability and quality of workmanship. He is very proud of his standards and it shows. I simply cannot rate this gentleman highly enough. He was on the job come rain or shine, and this past week had some interesting weather challenges. I see why his skills are in high demand. This was a small job relative to completely siding a home so I was very pleased with the detail and attention Mike gave to the work. He gave me a timely bid and delivered samples for me to choose from then he scheduled and completed my work faster than I expected. (Since it was a small job I think he may have worked me in between larger projects which was appreciated. He was able to complete the work prior to having new garage doors installed that I had ordered which was helpful.) It has been almost two years since I had this work done and I am still happy with the results. He mentioned to me that he really liked the doing the type of work that he does and it shows! I would recommend him without reservation. In fact I plan on asking him to do another small job for me this summer. Perhaps my review should be judged somewhat based on the small size of the job completed in this instance but if he puts as much attention to detail on a complete home siding as he did on this lesser task, I can't imagine that a customer wouldn't be happy. This was the first service that I investigated after joining Angie's List and was glad that I used it to find a reputable service provider rather than shooting in the dark from an internet or yellow pages listing.

He was very knowledgeable and courteous. He spent a lot of time with me going over my options. In the end, I decided not to use siding.

I am very satisfied with Mike's quality of work. He provided an estimate tried to match the siding and also had a back up plan in case my siding couldn't be found. Everything went well. Very satisfied and pleased.
