 + 10 moreWe started remodeling with Maverick contracted to complete in 3 months. Detailed drawings were complete, supplies and fixtures spaced, and most items ordered at the onset. Craig was unable to organize suppliers and sub contractors to complete the job in a timely manner. Originally Craig did not want to sign a contract; that should have been a big red flag. As we asked Craig to honor the contract obligations, he responded to us with belligerence, tantrums, and verbal abuse. After five months we have a job half done, and a major subcontractor failure due in part to lack of oversight. We have fired Craig for default of contract. As to specific work: Craig typically showed 3 or 4 days a week, at 10 or 11am, and left by 3 or 4pm. Craig s hands on work framing, replacing windows and doors are good quality. Subcontractors and suppliers that he uses are a mixed bag, some good, and some poor. Peripheral damage to walls, furniture and fixtures became excessive.
Description of Work: We hired Maverick Construction as general contractor to replace windows, exterior doors, and roof; and to remodel master bed and bath, and second bath. All windows, a French door, and a sliding door have been replaced. The bed and bathrooms have been gutted. The bedroom has been rebuilt with new cabinetry, sheet rock walls and lighting. Both baths are being rebuilt with new cabinetry, plumbing, lighting, venting, sinks, tubs, showers, granite counters and decks, and tiled walls.
