I called Larry's Lawn Care after getting their name from Angie's List. A gentleman by the name of Phillip answered the call. At first he sounded very nice. He looked at my yard and agreed with me that we needed to place a drainage pipe to move the water standing in my backyard away. At the same time he made some suggestions to change my sprinkler set up.We agreed on paying him $500 for the drainage and $450 for sprinkler job he had suggested which according to him would have taken him two days of work.After an initial delay of 3-4 days his worker came on 7/2/2011 and started digging our the lawn and the soil. after a few hours the worker diappeared. When I called him, he told me he had an emergency.Then they came back and placed the drainage tube the wrong way. I, a layman, had to tell them how it should be done.Then he cashed the money for the entire work (including the sprinkler work and as of today (7/13/2011) the sprikler job is not done and Phillip comes up with all kinds of excuses and promises to be there the next day, which he never does.This was a VERY BAD experience.I am going to question from now on the reliability of the info on companies I get from Angie's List.

Called Larry's Lawn and Services on Friday to ask for an estimate for yard work at our house. Talked with Larry, and he sounded professional and polite over the phone. He told me he will come by our house on Saturday morning around 9am, and asked for a description of the work to be done (some pruning, weeding, purchase/spread of bark, etc), and my contact information. On Saturday morning he did not showed up, and did not called as agreed the day before. I waited until about 10:30am and called him, but the call went straight to voice mail. Leaved a message asking to please call back (or tell us he will not come by). He never called back, and we lost half a weekend day waiting on him.

Larry came and took down the information for the bid the day I called him. He emailed me the bid and after we agreed on the price, we set the date for him to start the job. I was going to be out of town until 6/21. On 6/21 he came with his crew and removed the chain link fence completely and installed the vinyl posts. The next afternoon he installed the rest of the fence and gate. Great job.

There were two conversations where we went over the poject on the telephone. Both times the owner committed to getting to my home in the next day or two to do the formal evaluation and bid. I waited with no response after the first conversation and then called again. Larry said he lost my number and so we started again. Another promise to get back to me at my home the next day and again, never a response. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Larry and his team did a great job from start to finish, the job took two days overall. After I walked Larry through the yard and gave him a general idea of what I was looking for, we received an initial estimate in writing along with a list of all the work that was going to be completed. The final cost matched perfectly to the initial estimate and we've already received many complements on the improvements to our yard. We are very happy with the job that was performed and will recommend Larry's Lawn and Services to anyone looking for a landscaping company.

He was very pleasant. He worked fast. I would use them in the future.

I spent $4000 on that work. He was very caring. We were lucky to get him. He was a very good person and we were very happy with him.

Larry showed up and provided a bid in a timely manner.

Excellent. His crew completley transformed our back yard in a week. Very satisfied. His prices were resonable and i have recommended him a couple of times. We will most likley use him for cement work come spring time.

Larry and his crew arrived promptly each morning, worked the entire day, and cleaned up the work site at the end of each day. The job took longer than expected and cost $200 more than the estimate due to the trench needing to be deeper than Larry expected (he estimated the work without having access to the basement since we did not own the house at the time of the estimate). We did not object to paying more, but would have liked known about the price increase before the completion of the work. Larry said that he would come back out in the spring and lay sod after the dirt had settled along the house wall. Overall we were pleased with the level of service and would hire Larry again for future landscape needs.

They underbid and we had to finish the job ourselves. It wasn't necessarily their fault, but it was a bigger project than what we thought or what they thought.

Larry and his team of four were simply outstanding! Larry gave me a fair bid price in writing with lots of detail on a new 105 ft. vinly privacy fence, elevated mower strip/concrete edging, trimming of all my trees, and checking, adjustment and/or relocation of lawn springlers. His bid price was not the lowest of the four bids I received, but in my mind it included lots of extra value. He and his team arrived on time or earlier than expected each day. They were always very respectful of me, my wife, and my neighbors. They worked very quietly and only made job related noises. Larry and his entire team were always very accommodating. If I saw or questioned something that needed a redo, they did it until I was satisfied. They were in and out in two and a half days. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the timeliness, price, extra value, and quality of all the work performed for us by Larry's Lawn and Services. We highly recommend them to anyone!

It went well. It turned out to be the cheapest quote. I am waiting to speak with my neighbor to see if we are going to do the project or not. It we do go through with it, we will use Larry.

Larry and his crew are a great group. They worked quickly and did an excellent job. Larry drove all the way down to Provo to do a bid the same day I called him. His bid came in way under other companies, especially for a vinyl fence. He could have easily added on charges to the final bill because the soil was really rocky, but he didn't. The new concrete deck looks fantastic and the garage hasn't leaked one bit since they finished last week. I was especially impressed by their punctuality. I emailed him to let him know we would be taking his bid on Friday and the following Monday his crew was out there before 8am ready to work. He had a large number of men working for him, so the whole job only took 3 days. All of his men are great guys, very cheerful and they all seem to like each other and get along great. Larry was easy to contact and kept me updated on everything and when I had concerns, he was ready to listen and talk things out with me. He was even more than willing to talk to my father (who is a carpenter) over the phone and keep him updated. He understood a father's concern for his only daughter. :) We even got a big surprise from Larry. We had a old, rotten stairway going up a retaining wall to the basketball court in our backyard. It was in bad shape, no one dared walk up on it lest their feet go through the wood. So, one day, we looked outside to see one of his men tearing down the stairs and building us a nice, brand new one! When we asked Larry about it, he said it was a surprise present for us. It looks gorgeous. He's definitely someone we'd use again.

call that morning , spoke with a gentleman who stated he would come out at 1pm and give an estimate to some fencing work I need done, the company didn't bother to show-up nor call..

He was very responsive and made two trips out to answer questions we had. We ended up not using him because we split the cost of labor with a neighbor.

I was completely happy with the quality of service they were respectful to home making it a more beautiful place to be. I will definitely use them in the future.

I have been struggling with the city in court with over 12 appearances about the condition of my property for the past 5 years. Larry came out and gave me a time table and estimate of when he would finish a large fencing and cleanup job. His crew did an excellent job and finished the job ahead of schedule before I had to appear in court once again. The city saw the work that was done and canceled my court appearance. Prior to this job I have had all negative experiences with contractors. Larry was very personable and went far beyond what was expected to improve the condition of my property. Although he had other jobs going on Larry would frequently come by and check up on his very conscientious and competent crew. No short cuts were made. Larry called me and checked after the court date to be sure that everything went well. He said he would fix any short comings that the court claimed at his own expense if my property did not meet their standards. High marks to Larry and his crew.

We moved into a new house that needed a fence, landscaping and a safe enclosure for our pets. We were in a time crunch, but Larry got the necessary things done so we could move in. After calling other fencing/landscaping services, and was lucky if I got a return phone call, Larry was available, or always called us back in a timely manner when a message was left for him. Larry went "above and beyond" adding an additional safety feature to our pet fencing, and communicating with our neighbor on the cost of the fence which we were splitting 50/50. All of the services he performed, and pricing, were in a written contract. Larry, and his crew, were always professional, prompt and friendly.

He showed up promptly for the estimate. Came in a little lower than the other bids. Did exceptional work fixing the cement. The fence and gate are great. Very sturdy and will hold up a long time. The railing had a problem with the fittings that snaped in place against the posts. I pointed them out to Larry when he came to check on the job and he fixed them the next day. His workers were hard working and did a nice job. Larry is a very nice man and was easy to work with. I felt like he was very honest and took pride in his work and in his business. I would not have a problem recommending him to a friend.

Very pleased with this company. They scheduled us promptly and came when they said. They returned calls in a timely fashion. Workers were smart, strong and fast. Construction was sound. Very reasonably priced. Larry also offered some good ideas for other projects and we will likely contract with him for this work as well. The price was very reasonable and came under 2 other bids we solicited. Additionally, Larry, without any bidding from us, had his workers weed our garden for free!
