IVORY HOMES

Overall, I’m pretty dissatisfied with Ivory Homes. They talk a big game but they are just like any other builder that takes short cuts, doesn’t fix mistakes, and ultimately doesn’t provide value. I think we have about a dozen warranty claims with them after living in this home for only 6 months. When they do respond to warranty claims they try to make my wife think that it’s our fault. For example; There was a clanking in the AC unit in our attic. We put in a warranty claim and about 3 weeks later they came out to say “that’s just how it will sound.” Knowing this wasn’t true I pushed for them to send out their subcontractor who installed it to find a piece of metal inside the AC unit which was making the sound. This is just one example. A very similar think happened with our garage doors. We STILL have a dozen more claims waiting to be fixed! I cannot recommend Ivory Homes in anyway.

Ivory is a horrible company. They promise that issues will be taken care of to your face and then fail to do so. I have built five new homes with construction companies and would buy a new home from all of them again. I would never build or buy a home from Ivory. My new home has had multiple problems that they refuse to correct. I have had to hire out the work and pay for it myself. Their so called warranty is written to protect them from any responsibility. The build quality is so poor I now worry that this home will be a constant headache. All of my neighborsfeel the same as i do. I can't wait to get everything corrected ant move.

This was my families first time building a home. We are very happy with our home, but there were a lot of things we did not know about and no one guided us. The design team didn't really help us and we felt like they didn't care about our dream. Our sales agent just wanted to hurry up and move on to the next buyer. We had to be aggressive on many issues with ivory, so just make sure you cover everything in writing or you may be paying for it later.

The contractor himself was fairly professional, but some of the companies he subcontracted left a mess. Our timeline was off by three months because he was too busy. Also, the finish work could have been better. I would only use them again if the competitors price is higher.
