 + -1 moreGreat, prompt in-home re-keying service. My house keys were lost and I was afraid to leave home until getting my locks re-keyed. Glen's had someone on-site in just a couple hours. They changed my locks, provided as many keys as I needed, and did everything quickly, quietly and professionally.

 + -1 moreThe technician showed up promptly went right to work, and gave me advice on how to best maintain the locking mechanism. He also made 2 extra keys at my request (for which I also paid). I've used Glens Lock and Key before, including a full house re-key. I rely on them, because they show up on short notice, and do great work. The amount I paid included the cost of the service call.

 + -1 moreWe called and they sent out a locksmith the same day. He was able to install a lock we had purchased for the cabinet door (a single lock), and he added a latch for the other door. He had to modify the latch so that it would work on our cabinet. After he was done, he swept up the debris from the installation. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. We've used them in the past, and have always had good service.

Description of Work: Front door handle was jammed. We went in to Glens Key co, and described problem, got excellent consultation, purchased needed replacement part, and were then able to make the actual repair ourselves. Would not have been able to do this without their patient and knowledgeable consultation.

Description of Work: "I just moved and wanted to change the locks on the front door. I was debating between a keyless entry (number pad and 9v battery) deadbolt vs a traditional key deadbolt. After talking with the installer, I selected the key deadbolt -- bump proof, pick-proof, drill-proof. The keys are a special cut. The keypad seemed to be more for heavy use (such as children in and out and there is no worry about loosing keys) plus, the keypad has been known to give false readings (it says it's locked but it is not always true.) |Installer did a fantastic job at explaining the various locks AND an even better job of installing the locks. I would definitely use Glenn's again."

The locksmith even made sure to leave room for future weatherstripping on one door and also assessed the condition of my doors overall. My only gripe was that the company didn't have a great variety in door hardware options, where I might have preferred something more aesthetically pleasing.

 + -1 moreLocksmith rekeyed my entire house (new house I just bought), and went out of his way to help me get a door working even though the lock and broken handle mechanism was a boutique brand not generally available. Prompt, courteous, efficient. I would definitely use Glen's again.

 + -1 moreLock repair and re-key occurred in store and went great. To retain the original 1940s lock on the front door, a service call was suggested to cut and install a new thumb screw on site. Service was scheduled for the next morning. Sid arrived promptly with all the correct tools and expertise. Lock that hasn't worked in 10 years is now restored and working beautifully! Thank you!

 + -1 moreI was able to get 3 sets of keys made from Glen's Keys Locks and Safe for the price of getting one set made at the dealership. Glen's did a great job making each key. After making the key the made sure that it worked well in the ignition. I highly recommend these guys and would definitely go back to them in the future.
Description of Work: I just purchased a used car from an auto dealer and the dealer only provided one set of keys with the car. The car keys had a chip in the key and a new key from the dealership was extremely expensive.

 + -1 moreI have used Glen's several times. They have re-keyed my locks and then replaced the dead bolt and door handle. That was not a straight forward job as the old set was probably 40+ years old. The locksmith did have to come back once for a malfunction. Both the locksmiths I have had recently were very professional, efficient and considerate. They also made some keys for me. Overall very trustworthy.

 + -1 moreUnlike the big box stores, Glen's actually employs people that know what they are doing when the copy keys. It is so annoying to have a copy of a key made at Home Depot only to have to return it (sometimes several times) before they get it right. Glen's was uncrowded, friendly and their keys worked perfectly the first time. They even had blanks for a 78 GMC motorhome!

 + -1 moreI'm very pleased with their service. I have been using their services for years and they have always been helpful. You can even order things and they will deliver them for you. If you have a bunch of doors and to relock them to one key, they will be happy to do that for you as well. If you lost a key, they will come out and make a key for it as well.

 + -1 moreThey do excellent work. They are head and shoulders above anyone else we've used. Their locksmiths are so well regarded that they're even called out of state for work! They're prompt and very, very good. I just think they're excellent.
Description of Work: They've done a number of jobs in the last 6 months. They fixed other inferior locksmiths work. We had an antique armour. They had to go out & search for an antique lock, create a key for it & make it work. They've rekeyed our doors. They contacted the company that manufactured our safe because we lost the combination - They're so well regarded, that the company gave them combination so we could open it again!
