Five Star Painting, SLC

This was a HORRIBLE experience RIGHT after I signed the contract. Immediately, I had concerns and when I brought them up I was insulted and made out to be a PROBLEM. Worst paint job ever they basically did NO prep, after promising that it would be done. Started painting on DAY 1. One year later I was paying for touch-ups now within 5 years I need a whole new job. Biggest waste of 5000.00 ever.

Great experience very efficient

We just had Five Star Painting paint the exterior of our home. We could never, in good conscience, recommend them to anyone. The painters did an adequate job and were courteous to talk with but the support/office staff made the whole job a nightmare. Chris was the salesman/project coordinator He was very affable during his selling portion and once the job was â sold became downright rude, even to the point of name calling us. He promised a lot and his promises were never fulfilled. When it came time for the end of the job walk through, he said, â well the painters were already here, were not they He came all scruffy looking and I even questioned who he was he never did check what work had been done. When dealing with the office staff, to set up the job and payment, it took Adam over 20 minutes to even find our account and this is after we had been emailed the proposal. A â text thread was set up as â the best way to communicate throughout the process. A â however, they refused to include both of us in the thread. They would text with dates that never happened. We would take off work because they said that they would be coming but then they never showed up. Worst of all, there were areas on the exterior of our home that were unpainted concrete, and we specifically mentioned that we DID NOT want them painted Five Star Painting went against our wishes and painted them anyway I cry every time that I walk by them (which is every day.) They also left a mess behind for us to clean up tap, brushes, paper, etc. left all over the yard. We left the water on for them to clean their equipment and now our lawn is plastered with grass killing â paint-clean up splotches AND beware of their â two-year guarantee It is NOT a guarantee of any of their workmanship. If you have a problem, even the next day, they will not honor it unless it is a â product failure with the paint itself Five Stars work has NO guarantee. We cannot recommend Five Star Painting to anyone we wish that we had gone with Another company painting. This other company was very honest with what they could do when they gave us their bid, and if we knew that Five Star was â selling us a job and then doing less we would not have hired them . we should have gone with honesty.

I would not hesitate to recommend Five Star Painting to anyone, and especially Carlos Reyes as our particular painter. Great work at a great price. Outstanding customer service and craftsmanship.

Jon and his team were great to work with! I hired them originally to paint my rooms, bathrooms, and cabinets. I loved their work so much, I hired them again to paint the rest of my house. Throughout the process, Jon kept in regular contact with me and his team went above and beyond our expectations. We will be hiring them in the near future when we complete our basement.

The door frame was painted the wrong color... but, they made it right within 2 weeks. Everything else was great.

I hired them to paint my basement which included one bedroom, family room, workout room, entry way, and staircase. They were very friendly and got the work done quickly. We are very happy with our experience and would recommend them to anyone looking to have painting done!

DO NOT hire 5 star painting LLC. This was the most unprofessional business I have ever worked with. I hired them to do the eaves and soffits of the house and power washing. They did an OK job on the painting, but left with damage to one of the window sills. Fine, I have call them to fix it, no big deal.... This turned into a nightmare. What ensued was more than a month of unanswered phone calls, promises to fix it that never materialized, followed by more unanswered phone calls, followed by more unfulfilled promises. The manager (Adam) that I was supposed to be working with just stopped picking up the phone altogether. My window is STILL unfixed, and I paid approx. $3,500 for the work. Save yourself a huge headache and go with another company.

They were friendly, did the work on time. Very little mess. I would use them again have told my friends about them . They are number one in my book.

Thanks Chris and Camilo for doing a great job on my projects. I appreciate how Camilo worked so hard to get the paint colors exactly right. I will not hesitate to recommend you to friends

They subcontracted a team of inexperienced painters and there was no management oversight. As a result: - overspray on windows, porches, solar panels - paint drips on patios, walkways, raised beds, AC unit - improper paint disposal: extra paint/wash dumped in garden beds, along pathways, in street gutters - watered down paint rather than buying another can when they ran out, resulting in chalky areas - then, used sample cans of the wrong paint sheen for touch ups - did one really thick coat of paint rather than 2 coats resulting in cracked texture and drips - trash, tape, paint chips scattered throughout property - used paint cans and plastic thrown in recycling bin They harassed me daily to pay, so I paid them. Yet it took weeks and multiple calls to get them to respond to requests to clean up. Now they will not respond at all.

They worked until it was perfect.

The crew was professional, meticulous in their detail work, clean and cared what we thought of their progress...nothing was too much trouble. The office contacted me every day to make sure I was being taken care of....well done!

Luis the painter was fast and exceptionally clean. My home really shines now and it looks like a PRO did the work. I would recommend these guys to anyone. I am so very happy with the final results. This company really came through in the highest way.

Started out good. Showed up at the right time to start the project, then proceeded to not show up at all. Did not know when they were going to come to pull teeth, to get them to answer phone calls, and to get their painters back out here I still do not know if they are going to finish it, and if they are, I will have to finish it? The communication is horrible. would not recommend it for all the frustration and stress. The painter did a great job, but the communication that the company had with us was horrible.

The Sherwin william paint code # was not the same color as on their chart.

They painted the exterior of my home. They did a great job prepping, covering everything, cleaning up after themselves and communicating with me.

I can sum up my experience with 5 Star in one word...frustrating! Lack of follow up, lack of accounts, lack of professionalism. I still cant get them to resolve the outstanding issues. If you sign up to do a job (and it wasnt cheap) do it right and complete the job. Id like to think it will get better but they wont call me back.

Had them paint a wrought iron fence as well as a dozen or so window trims. We had a fantastic project with Five Star! From Kiel who came and did the bid to Todd who was the project manager to Constance from their office who was in touch by text message nearly every day during the project, it was a top notch experience! And finally, Arturo who did the actually painting. The guy is a real pro. The paint looks fantastic and he cleaned up really well at the end of each day. I highly recommend these guys!
