It went very well. They did a good job. They still have some small touch up left to do but they will complete when I return in the spring.

Great! They were very responsive, wonderful follow through. They fulfilled every commitment and the timetable to a “T”! The project manager made three visits within the three day project including the day after the painters finished. He returned to check their work, to see if any touch was needed and to verify that we were satisfied with their work. There were a few very small touch ups needed, that were spotted by the PM, not us. The crew returned the next day and took care of them. This crew, Erick, Christian and George were about the very best contractors we have ever had. Professional, great to work with, thorough, and super friendly, to boot! We would recommend them, without question, to anyone! When we need painters again, we will call Five Star. Definitely live up to their name!

Not punctual, no communication, lacking experience to do job, zero attention to detail. Waste of my time and $$. I would not recommend this company.

Did not hire them in the end. Too many problems with them. Came to paint on the day it should have been washed.

The company admitted they had spread themselves thin and subcontracted with people they didn't normally use. The project dragged on far longer than expected (they said 2 weeks... it took at least 2 months). Quality of painting on the house was fine, but paint on the windows, screens, garage door, and driveway was not fully cleaned up. Even with this, I would have given them a better score, but the work on the deck was not good. They scraped some of the loose paint off... and then painted over the flaked off paint. Winter passed and much of the paint has come off the deck. It is very disappointing.

Guy came by to give me an estimate, and afterwords never heard anything back. Called a few weeks later to inquire as to why I never heard anything back, and still never got a response. Wr9000

They made an appointment, never showed up, did not call until a week later to make an excuse.

They were very thorough with covering my furniture and floors and did a great job painting. The painters were very polite and were quiet which I really appreciated given that I work from home. Priced very well. Would recommend.

It went great. They came out quickly which I appreciated. One door needed some additional work and it took a while to get them to come back. When they finally came the painter who came addressed my concerns and did a great job.

When I first scheduled an appointment, Jesse was going to come and do it. Traffic was bad and so I offered to reschedule to the next day. He never showed up. I called the company and they rescheduled me for a few days later. Again, nobody showed up. I called the company again and they said that someone would get in touch with me to see what we could figure out- that has yet to happen. I am amazed that this company can stay in business with such poor customer service. I have hired many contractors in the past for various reasons and have never had them not show up, or even call to acknowledge that they are running late or can't make it. I would never hire this company because who knows if they would even show up to get the job done if after 3 attempts they can't even get me an estimate. I am extremely disappointed in this company.

Work was done on time and within the set budget. Very clean and friendly crew, from the gentlemen that came and measured for the original quote, to the painting crew. Would definitely hire five star again.

Very nice. Ricardo was very pleasant and hard working. He went the extra mile and stayed late to put a third coat on to make it look great.

They did a good job. They went above and beyond.

Very well. the entry porch had been primed a couple of years prior and one coat of the final paint on part of it a year ago. Rogelio sanded areas of the previously primed areas that had deteriorated. Since some areas had been primed and some areas had one final coat, Rogelio needed to do everything in the correct order to allow time for each coat to dry before the next went on to finish it all in one day. The final product looks very good and he cleaned-up his masking - no mess left. Very happy with

Please note that Govanni & Gilbert completed the painting job in my basement. Their work was spectacular, with Govanni being excellent with detail work, and Gilbert with his communication and personal skills. We are very pleased.

I've used Five Star painting several times now. They are very friendly and very professional. Every time I have used them, they had several people on the job , they always do a great job and get it done in a timely manner. And they seem to always have the lowest price.

They showed up on time and finished on time. They worked very hard and didn't waste time. Communication was, at times, difficult. We added a few extras and asked for an estimate but didn't receive one. We were a little surprised at the final cost, but they were willing to work with us on a fair settlement. We appreciated what they did.

These guys did a great job at a great price. I saved over $500 and they did a very professional job. My house (exterior) looks beautiful.

I tried to hire Five Star Painting based on their reviews on Angie's List, however their scheduling process and communication is so poor, I went with a DIFFERENT company (CertaPro Painters West Salt Lake - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!). I was coming in from out of town to get my parents house ready to sell. A stressful and urgent task, I only had one week to accomplish a lot. Five Star Painting started out well and scheduled an estimate immediately. Brad came out and we discussed what was to be done. They knew the urgency I faced and thought they could get me on the schedule within about 2 days. I called/texted every day and was told that I was a small job and they were trying to fit me in. After 4 days of this, I went with CertaPro Painters West Salt Lake. They got me on the schedule 2 days later. I HIGHLY recommend CertaPro Painters. Although they were a bit more expensive, they were worth every penny, both in customer service and the quality of the paint job. Regarding Five Star Painting, I understand that a small job is not as lucrative as a larger job. I have no problem if they had simply told me they couldn't do it. However, being dragged along with potential dates for service is unacceptable, especially when I had told them I was only in town for one week. Additionally, I filled out an online review they sent me. I also sent them an email detailing my experience. I have yet to hear back from them. Communication and honesty is critical! This is where Five Star Painting fails. I give it a "D" because Brad (the estimator) was good in answering my text/calls. Otherwise I would be giving them an "F".

I don't trust that the estimate was arrived at legitimately. I was provided a 2-line estimate for $1390 (after a "discount" of $208) to perform this work despite the fact they they had an offer on Angie's List of $550 for 16 hours of labor. I didn't think there was any way that the little work I was having done was going to total 16 hours and asked about that. They told me that there was a "ton of prep" without defining what that meant. Fivestar also had an offer for $1399 for 40 hours of labor on Angie's List, which meant they were claiming my job was going to take 40 hours of work!! This despite the fact that materials were listed as only $59 (i.e. 2 gallons of paint). When I pointed all this out and asked for a detailed breakdown of what the labor hours were going to go toward, Chris, the estimator, stopped responding to my emails. This was unprofessional and, I feel, somewhat dishonest.

We bought 7 hours of interior painting from an Angie's list deal. The deal had us schedule the painting right on Angie's list. 5 Star Painting didn't contact us. I finally did a couple of days later but had to play phone tag. Finally they scheduled an appointment but then canceled on the day of the appointment only to rest the appointment a few hours later. That is bad part. Now for the good part. The painter, Jose, was fantastic. He was meticulous and professional. He did everything we needed him to and even stayed a little later than the contract in order to finish some detail work. I was very impressed with Jose. If this is the quality of their painters I will go with them again in a heartbeat. In fact, I will just ask for Jose again!

Painter showed up on time, did a great job, and did it for a very fair price. I had painted most of my basement after new construction and just didn't have enough time to finish it. Five star taped off, caulked and painted the trim and doors in 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a hallway. It took them two 8 hour days. Would have taken me a month. I'm very satisfied.

Initial communication was stellar, with quick response time and good communication before the project began. Once the project started, communication was non-existent unless I initiated it, and no one contacted me when the project was finished. I called to have some touch-up work done, and this was done fine, but again, no one contacted me once the work was complete to find out if I was satisfied. A week later I received an invoice via email, but no human contact. I was also led to believe that a "crew" would be painting my house. This crew consisted of one man. It would have been nice to have been told this up front. The person who painted was very nice and respectful, but the project was too much for one person to get done in the time quoted me, so ended up running over. I was also told by the person who gave me the quote that the painter would seal off the rest of the house when he lacquered the bookcase/mantel, however this was not done and the lacquer smell invaded the rest of the house for more than a week.

Everything I was told would be completed, was delivered. Great communication before during and after the services.

We are very pleased with the final outcome of out projects. The painters showed up on time and were very polite. The General Manager also came to our house to walk through the project and make sure we had all the information needed for the painters. They started in the inside and completed that portion fist and then moved to the out side of the house. We had some very minor touch ups on the inside and they took care of them very quickly. As for the outside everything went very smooth and was completed in a very timely manner. The painters took what trash they could that day and the following day had someone come back to get what was left. I would defiantly use this company again for any future painting we may have done.
