Five Star painting is amazing! They have the best prices in town and the paint job was astonishing they nailed my colors, now I love coming home every day. They started the job on time and finished on time making my life so much easier. They were very courteous to my house making a concerned effort to keep everything cleaner then I would have. They were very professional to work with and answered every one of my questions making me completely at ease with my choices. There is no doubt in my mind that I will use them again and would recommend Five Star to anyone one of my friends and family.

Five Star Painting and their team did a fantastic job and the experience was one of the better I can remember. They painted my interior/exterior, and the finished product was wonderful. They even came back to paint a very small section we made some last minute changes to after the job was done. I know from experience that it's hard to get someone to come back out for such a small job, especially if it's above and beyond the original scope of work agreed upon. Their team was professional, courteous and great to work with. From the beginning of the process to the end, they really worked hard to make sure we were happy. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality job.

It didn't go well at all!! The job took 8 weeks and so many trips back that I can't recall how many there were. I have walls that only received 1 coat of paint, trim that didn't get paint, ceiling edges that weren't painted, doors with paint on 2 sides, little paint splatters on the hardwood floor and granite, and the wrong type of paint to boot. After painting and coming back after my complaints for 8 weeks, they actually sent a painter to my door to pickup a check in full 3 days after they thought the job was complete. In all this time of dealing with them the owner only called me after I told him I was going to dispute the credit card charge. After yelling at me he told me they'd be out again and would do whatever they could to fix the problem including repainting the entire home. He never called back or scheduled any work, just waited for my 90 day dispute window on the credit card charge to pass.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and I liked them. They did a good job. I have not gotten the bill yet.

Once the doorway was reprinted, we were completely satisfied and pleased.

Not well. Easy to arrange quote. Owner's wife came out and looked at job, reviewed plan. Everything else was terrible. Painters did very little prep, no power wash, little sanding. Prepped a wall I was not planning to paint but i felt bad so added it to job. No manager at sight,workers seemed to not know plan. Very poor prep. Painted bushes and spilled paint on concrete, left trash. Started raining really hard one day when the job was underway, hurried to finish. After they left, did not return for several days to clean up large pile of trash in front yard. Had to contact them multiple times to have someone come out and fix missed area. Still doesn't look good and 6 mos later, areas already peeling. Very difficult to get ahold of anyone in charge. I could not communicate with the crew that came out because we did not appear to understand one another at all.

These folks were on time and did a considerable amount of work in one days time. They were polite, efficient , did excellent work, I would recommend these folks to everyone. A particular shout out to Rhonda and Brandon.

fine but the prep work was a bit superficial. good job masking and taping but not so great sanding/caulking.

It turned out really good. They called me in the morning and asked if they could change the schedule. They were on time. It took them about four hours. They had to go out and get a couple of buckets of paint that matched. Their skill was excellent. There were no marks and it looks smooth. I am pleased with it. I would use them again.

A few days prior to the job the estimator arrived and quoted a price which was accepted and the start date was agreed upon. The painter showed up on time, we discussed the work to be done and he left with a paint sample to go to Sherwan Williams to try and match the paint. He made a fine match and began to work. His finish work was outstanding and I was totally satisfied with the work that was done. He cleaned everything up and left with a job well done.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. They came on time and did the job. The person that came didn't speak very much English so there was a little bit of communication difficulty between my wife and him. Otherwise there were no problems. We didn't pay any extra. The price was fair. We would use them again.

Five Star Painting was very professional and offered a quality product at a fair price. I would use their services again as well as feel comfortable referring them to others.

Painted some interior rooms in home. Did good work. Some problems with scheduling. They seemed to have some communication problems within the company. Workers, estimator, and staff did not seem to know what each other was doing (at times). Workers were skilled and efficient but their communication with staff operations was somewhat lacking. Experience was positive overall, but could have been better.

The painter damaged our hardwood flooring, scraped the tint off 6 large windows, pulled paint of the walls, did not paint all the trim and did not clean up after himself. We got a full refund from the owner of Five Star. We paid $200 for 6 hours of painting. The painter showed up on time and he was a pretty nice guy and he got straight to work painting the trim. When I got home later in the day the gentleman had already packed up and left. He had only painted 4 hours of the 6 that we paid for. Which was fine because he work was the worst that I have ever seen (and I spent two summers painting house exteriors). The trim we wanted painted framed eight 6' x 3' windows in two separate rooms. We provided the paint. Preparedness: Then we had to provide the tape because this gentleman had not brought enough with him. He did ZERO prep before painting the wood surface besides taping it off. Tint scratches: He must have used a tape gun to apply the tape because the tape gun left scratches in the tint on 6 of the 8 windows. Perfect 6 foot long and 3 foot long scratches on some of the windows. The other windows were scratched by the guy when he was using a razor to get the tape glue off the window. Not just in one place either. If you were scraping a window and saw that it was causing damage would you continue to scrap every window? Of course not. Paint drips: On the floor, on the wall, above the trim on the wall. Paint drips everywhere. Wall damage: He pulled paint off the surrounding wall surfaces when he pulled off the tape he applied. It's noticeable. Not done: A few pieces of trim were not painted at all. Hardwood Floor Damage: He spilled something on our original hardwood flooring. He spilled and then he tried to clean it up. Tried to clean it up with some sort of solvent ... on my hardwood floors. Hardwood. You could see the wipe marks because his solvent stripped the polish. This was approximately a spot two feet in diameter. In the living room. Right underneath the television. I hired a maid service to come in the next day to see if they could do anything with it. That cost me $75 just for the floors. Nope. Flooring has to be redone. We called the owner and rattled off our complaints. He sent over another guy, and another gentleman to translate. They surveyed the damage and felt the hardwood floor mishap. They ARGUED with us over the window tint scratches on two of the windows. Stating that they could not agree that their guy did that damage. Then they asked us what we wanted. We explained that the window tint was going to be $60 each window. That we needed to hire another person to come in to paint the trim properly and now paint the surrounding wall area. Then we needed someone to come in and fix the floor. They told us that the painter had been fired because of our complaints. (Don't know why they thought we cared because that did not fix our problem.) We just wanted it done with and we got our money back at a loss to ourselves. When you take advantage of a coupon you expect to get the same level of service and attention as you would at any other time. We feel like we got the "coupon guy". We will never use this company again.

Everything went very well. I plan on having additional painting in the winter. I would use them over and over again.

We were impressed with the company having gotten an estimate in the past from a well dressed "face man", but did not end up needing. So we just called them this time and had a pleasant experience with the woman who bid the job. We planned a start date and thought everything was good. That's when the disappointments began. The woman who arrived at scheduled time did not even knock, just walked in and said "hello". She was not wearing a uniform, did not introduce herself, and her english was very limited and my wife was concerned she didn't understand what was to be painted. She masked off half of the space to be done (presumably all that could be done that day). She used cheap white masking tape which would later prove to be horrible leaving very sloppy lines at the boundary of areas which were painted. She left and did not explain what the rest of the plan was. A few minutes later a group of different painters arrived who also had limited english and began working. While they were pleasant, their work was sloppy with (again) poor masking (some didn't even do that), paint on outlet covers/switch covers and door handles, poor prepping of the wall in areas that needed some minor cosmetic attention, no clean up of sanded material when prepping was completed, and multiple different people working on the job with no clear indication of when they planned to come and leave. To their credit, the large clean surfaces showed even paint application and no evidence of the paint color underneath. As they did not prime or sand the surface I was concerned this would be the case. The company in this area uses a quality control employee named, Hector, who was sincere and responsive to my concerns and sent somebody to touch up areas which were neglected, pain splattered, otherwise messed up. I still though will be spending a few hours cleaning up sloppy masking lines and switch/outlet covers. I would not use them again and would be sure to ask future painters about masking, clean up, and emphasize how much I'd like consistent painters as the quality did vary to some degree this time. In this case, I appreciated them addressing some of the big issues but am disappointed every time I see how rough the edges are because of masking. I hope this review is useful for potential customers and 5 Star Painting.

Painter arrived on time, matched paint trim color, bought paint and completed work within 8 hrs. Pristine work!! Absolutely no drips or mess anywhere. Some communication delays regarding payment but no problem. Excellent service.

They arrived on time worked dilligently and efficiently the entire time they were at the house. They were very neat and cleaned up before they left.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was really good. They were prompt. They did what they said they were going to do in the time they said.

It did not work out so well. The owner was helpful setting up an appointment and seemed to be very professional. The painter who came out, however, did a sloppy job. He did not prep the job by scraping enough. There was a lot of loose paint that was just painted over. There were several spots that were missed. He spilled paint on the driveway and did not do the edging neatly. The exterior door was painted on the outside and the paint slopped over onto the inside of the door. So the white interior of the door now has a sloppy ruffle of dark blue paint around it. I contacted the owner about these problems. He offered to send out another painter to make up for the poor work done. He contacted me a couple of times saying he was busy that summer and fall, but that he would get someone out to fix the work soon. It has now been almost a year since the job was done and Five Star has done nothing to fix the problem. I haven't heard from them since last summer. Also the painter doing the work responded like he understood when I explained what I wanted him to do, but I don't think he did. I had paid for a certain amount of time, but he cut the job short by about an hour and a half. He had already cleaned up when I came out to check on things and was ready to leave. Five Star said they would send someone out to make up the time and fix the problems, but that never happened.

I'm a local property manager with a lot of experience using many vendors for multiple trades. I have been using Five Star Painting for all of my properties over the past two years. This company makes my life so much easier. Most of the vendors I use, I am constantly having to check on or micro manage their projects, with Five Star, I tell them what to do, when it needs to be done and I never have a problem. They understand that customer service and professionalism are vital to my business. I know my clients will be happy and I will continue to use them as my preferred vendor. They have done both interior and exterior painting for me, with no issues whatsoever. If you want a company that is going to do what they say they are going to do and provide the quality you expect, I recommend calling them for your painting needs.

The owner of the company, Brandon, responded promptly to my first inquiry and he came the next day to survey the job and prepare the quote. I really liked the detail and itemization for the quote. He was the only bidder that offered a copy of his bond. I obtained 6 other quotes and his was next to lowest but he was the most professional. His workers (Arturo and Jesus) were hard working and were anxious to please, responding to my every concern. The prep work on the wood trim was adequate but not superior. They did a very good job of spray painting and then rolling in the paint. I'd definitely ask for Arturo again--he was excellent. The only low point was the power washing prep done before the painting started. I think this was subbed out to another individual and it was obvious the worker had no idea how to operate the equipment or even how to use the "Little Giant" ladder. His washing method was random and he missed several spots. All in all, I was pleased with the job, and for the price, it was a very good value. (The highest bid was more than double Brandon's quote.)

Brandon and I discussed the job and he stated he could have it done in 4 to 5 days and that his people clean up real good after themselves. This worked fine since nothing was in the house and I was scheduled to move in on 6 May 2013. Brandon was very polite and on time for the first meeting. The crew showed up on the 22nd of April and from there it just seemed to go down hill. The workers took things apart, taped and covered everything. Brandon had told me they used Sherman William paint but that was not the paint being used (no big deal). The job was not completed by the 5th day (25 April). They returened on the 26th and did not complete it then either. I left on the 29th to have my furniture moved from Washington to Utah and returned thinking the job would be completed. When I returned on the 4th of May to my surprise the house was not completed and I tried to call Brandon, I left a message but he did not respond until the next day. He said he would get things done. The movers delayed my delivery which turned out to be good news since the house was not completed until the 9th of May in the afternoon with minor things still not completed. Brandon did not respond to calls immediately nor was he proactive with checking the house to make sure it was completed on time or to check on the quality of work. The painting was fine but they did not properly replace the items they took apart. The overspray was on the floors (which they covered) and on appliances. An item was missing from a window and I told Brandon about it and he stated he would ask his workers and get back to me but once again he did not do so. The house had to be recleaned which I had professionally cleaned prior to Brandon's crew arriving to paint since I was informed that they cleaned after themselves. The bottom line here is that work still had to be completed but I had to move in so it was better to just get them out of the house so I could move in on the 10th of May.

Exterior paint job did not go well! They prepped a few doors while I went to buy paint, paint pans & sanding blocks they requested. They started good, but the leader instructed them what to do & then left; the quality & customer service then went down. They didn't want to do all the doors I requested & once I convinced them to do them, the doors were just painted quickly without any rust sanding or other prep. I felt like I should be apologizing for "inconveniencing" them!! The 2 doors they did first were sprayed good, but not the rest.

Showed up on time, worked hard , cleaned up thoroughly.
