Had two furnace installations in a property through my home warranty, Landmark. They selected Eric, with Eco Air. Reviewed the company reviews and see that others have had bad experiences surrounding Eric's obscurity with pricing over the years. I felt he hasn't changed his approach. Install was rather simple, make sure to inspect ALL of the things he claims he is installing. What I have found, as the other reviews indicate as well, is that he states he installed certain things when in reality he didn't. I paid $750 for flue liner but my flue liner was the original? Eric's response was that he added other things into that price that he didn't bill me for? When asked about it Eric becomes defensive and short with you. Very bad experience with him and this company. Be advised to check all installed items before paying to ensure you're paying for what you actually received.

Eric Rogers and his company Ecoair are complete ripoffs. Totally unprofessional. They did a horrible install. Never did the J manual load calculations that any professional should do o determine what was needed.. Their installer was a creep, he was rude, and totally unprofessional. If Ecoair comes to you, run in the other direction.

Our home warranty company contacted EcoAir several weeks ago when we discovered our a/c had stopped working. I had to leave town for work but my wife was home to look after this issue. After waiting 6 days for a technician to show up, one finally did. His name was Dray (don’t know if that is the correct spelling) and he showed up with the owner, Eric. Dray was awesome, Eric was shady. Dray was helpful, Eric wanted to just get paid and be off to the next job. Dray, in spite of being allergic to bee stings, cleaned out several wasp nests (our unit is on the roof, BTW) and declared our a/c to be working. The next day, it stopped working again. Another call to the home warranty and to EcoAir and a new appointment was scheduled, for several days later. My wife waited around all day, until 9 p.m. and no one showed. After several unanswered calls that night and the next day, by both her and a representative from the home warranty company, there was still no response. Two days later, my wife left to run some errands and was about 30 minutes away from our house when the technician showed up and the company notified her by text he was there. There was no prior arrangement, no notice of being on the schedule, nothing. He just showed up. When my wife called him to explain she was on the way she was told by the technician he wouldn’t wait on her for more than a few minutes. He left but came back that night to look at the unit. He diagnosed it as a bad compressor but his boss, Eric, wasn’t satisfied with that and the technician came back the next day to confirm. They did and they left. Eric then called my wife to tell her if she wanted it fixed she would have to pay a $200 access fee for them to get on the roof, out of pocket. He said the fee was being charged by our home warranty company. They informed us they have no such fee, if it was being charged, it was EcoAir that was charging it. My wife confronted Eric with the information from the warranty company and he basically told her that if she wanted the a/c fixed she would have to pay him extra. I called Eric, from Japan, to discuss and he kept sending me to voicemail. I have had numerous people on my roof for numerous jobs, including servicing the a/c, which is in the normal spot on a normal roof, and not once has anyone ever even hinted at charging a fee to climb a ladder. If Eric wanted to charge a fee, why wasn’t the fee mentioned on day 1, before his technician ever climbed the ladder the first time? The warranty company contacted Eric and he told them he needed to bring in a crane for the job. I finally got in contact with Eric and he told me the charge was for a lift, not a crane, which he said he needed to get the unit off the roof so he could swap out the compressor. When all was said and done they showed up with no lift, no crane, and completed the job very quickly. Eric is a shyster. His techs are really nice, but he is a con-man. Do your due diligence and, if you decide to use EcoAir, get everything up front, in writing. Better yet, don’t use this company, the owner will try to shake you down. I had to cancel a fishing trip in Alaska and come home to deal with this. Once I was home, this was quickly finished. Judy, in the front office, was awesome. A bright light in an otherwise horrible experience. One bright note was Judy, in the office. She was incredible.

What a despicable excuse for a company. Our warranty company Landmark uses this company and unfortunately didn’t have much choice in using them. They’ve only been around for a couple of years but after reading similar comments about them I don’t think they will last very long. Initially we were in the process of selling the house and the A/C went out. I am an HVAC tech and normally would have repaired the unit myself but since this was under warranty and my time was limited I thought they would take care of it. Boy… was I wrong. After calling Landmark they said that ecoair would be calling me. Judy called to schedule the appointment which they said would be in a week. Long time to wait but I figured they were busy. I told them that I am an HVAC tech and I looked at it and that it needed a new fan motor but it was under warranty. This was my mothers home and she is staying with us so they needed to call 30 min before so we could meet them there. Judy said she put that in the notes. After waiting for about a week the day came when they were to show up. They didn't call in the morning so I called them to verify that they were still coming out and to verify the info I gave to the earlier but they had lost all the details of why they were coming out. I reminded them again and told them to call 30 min before coming out since i would have to leave work and no one was at the house because of no A/C. Judy gave me a time frame of 1-5pm. I later called at 4pm to find out if they were still coming to which Judy said they were already there and couldn't get a hold of anyone when they called. They never called me, never got a text. I told her this to which Judy asked if I thought they were lying (really? Asking a customer that!) and I said I never got a call and had my phone with me all day and there was no log of anyone calling. I asked if they could still come out and she rescheduled for after 5pm (she told me they close at 5 but their website states 6pm). Judy told me she couldn't get hold of the tech and would call me back to verify that was OK. She didn't so I called again at 455pm to find out and another person Kaitlyn answered and said yes, they were coming out. I left work early to get there and about halfway there Judy calls and explains that the techs normal phone wasn't working so he was using another phone and didn't know how it worked, couldn't see my phone number so he didn't call me but sat in front of the house for 30 min and then left. Huh? Even though I had told them to call 30 min before he just sits and waits? Couldn't call the dispatcher to find out what was going on? Then Judy proceeds to tell me that he won’t be out and they will be out on Saturday (2 days later!). What? Are you kidding me? I said I had been told they were coming and that I left work already and that they needed to come out to which she said she didn't want to argue with me and had other people to talk to and if I didn't like it I could go with another company then hung up on me! Great customer service Judy- you admit your company makes a mistake and because of it you tell the customer he has to wait two more days for service (You would think if they couldn't be out that night then it would be first thing in the morning the next day) then when they complain because they already were on their way you tell them you don't want to talk to them because he's not as important as the other people that called in after him so you hang up on them. Take some classes on customer service! If you worked for me and I was told of your lack of respect for my customer just this incident alone you would have been fired in a blink of an eye. Since it needed to be fixed and against my better judgement I waited for Saturday. I did call in Friday to find out when they would be coming out. Kaitlyn answered and said it would be between 10 and 2pm. I asked if they could come out first thing instead and was told that these were the hours they work on Saturday. Huh? Most places start at 8am. Whatever. I had to work Saturday but my wife was going to meet them. Nothing had changed and that they still needed to call 30 min before. About 1145am I get a call from Judy to let me know the tech was there. I told her that we were on our way and would be there in 30 min. She told me no, that I was supposed to be there between 10-2 and i would have to reschedule for next week! Then she tells me she didn’t even want to call me! I told her that this isn’t my house (again) and it was my 90 year old moms house and because of the A/C not working she was staying with us and the arrangement hadn’t changed with calling 30 min before. Then Judy said to me sarcastically “well isn’t that nice that you can have her stay with you!” Wow! I should have known at this point that she was a real winner and cut my losses and told her off but figured if I could only get the tech out things would be better so I said that I will call my wife to see if she could get there sooner to which she said he had been already waiting there for 45 min and would only wait 15 min and hung up on me again. I called my wife to tell her this and she got done early with her errands and had been at the house for the last 30 min. Hmm… the tech was there for the last 45 min? Don’t think so. I called Grumpy Judy back to tell her this and of course got her voice mail. Then I get a text that the tech was on his way. Huh? Thought he was already there. Dre showed up about 15 min later to which my wife called me to verify what the problem was and reiterated to him that that I’m an HVAC tech too and that the fan motor was bad. She told him and she calls me back after he was done to let me know he replaced the capacitor to the fan motor and that it turned on (which it did occassionally but then shut off because it was siezing up). I told her that I couldn't believe he would just do that and that I would check it later that day. And of course I went by an hour later and the fan motor wasn’t working. It hadn’t even gotten down to temperature to turn off before the fan stopped working. What a shocker! I decided to open it up to see what he did and he did indeed change the cap but had he reached in 5 more inches to turn the motor shaft he would have noticed that it was seizing up and hard to turn. Pretty simple to figure out but yet apparently oh so hard! At this point I called Landmark to let them know of the service Ecoair gave me to which they replied that I wasn’t the first complaint they had but would cancel their service with them after giving them the particulars of them not repairing it and of course the lack of how they treat a customer. I also sent a review back to Ecoair to which I told them it wasn’t repaired and that Judy is the worst customer service person I have ever come across. I got an email back from Ecoair. It was Judy stating to have Landmark reassign any further work and that she works VERY well with our clients, we obviously cannot work together. Again, not something you tell a customer whether you think it or not. Having been in the service industry for over 30 years and having to deal with all sorts of people and working late you have a job to do and no matter what you don’t treat customers with the type of disrespect that Judy Miller does. Of course I asked her for the owners name so I could make a formal complaint to which I didn’t get a reply. I ended up repairing it myself so we could get the house sold. I put the new fan motor in and now it works. DON’T EVER USE THIS COMPANY!

The initial install took longer than expected. But ran into issues with house and small crawl space. Otherwise the install, removal, and reinstall went great.
Description of Work: They came and installed central air into my house. Went above and beyond. Ran ducting into 4 ft crawl space under bedroom addition. They came back out and pulled outdoor unit out so concrete could be poured on that side of house. Once cured they came and reinstalled the unit.
