Croft Beck Floors Inc

We had hardwood floors which we are trying to get refinished. We have worked with them for many years and they do an excellent job. The home was built in 1983 and they were the people who originally installed the floors. There is no doubt that I would use only this guy for the flooring work. Sanding a wood floor is something where the guy must really know what he is doing. When he finishes down you are going to get this fine ripple work. To keep that floor flat so that there is no reflective mirror so that wood does not look like it has been scalloped is difficult and important. They always tape it off and have used products which others do not want to use because of environmental risk. There is a product which has a lot of ammonia in it and usually when you use it on hardwood floor the floor looks beautiful, but you will have to move out for a few days because of the smell. One time we told them that we wanted the glitz and they told that the product is not being used anymore because it is harmful. They said they did not want an environmental situation created for a family. We told them that we will move out. He said that he can do it but still he wanted me to try a new water based product that is phenomenal. I relied on him and he started the work with this water based clear surface. The day they came to take off the tape the finish came off with the tape and we were on the back patio and the fellow who had done the work came walking down to us and said that he will have to do all that once again. They did not charge us anything to redo the job. They could have charged us more for that work, but they did not. I rate them high overall.

For the most part good. Very clean and timely. The main person doing the floors was excellent. Some of the others weren't as good. The main worker took time to frame in the fireplace tiling without it being part of the job. The best part was when the owner came for the final inspection and pointed out something he wasn't happy with and had them come and fix it.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM WAS GOOD, BUT NOT EXCELLENT. I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY BUT AGAIN I CAN NOT SAY THEY'RE EXCELLENT.
