+ -1 moreSince their installation this summer, the new windows have shown a noticeable improvement in keeping heat from coming into the house. They also reduce outside noise by about 75% compared to the old windows, plus they are more attractive and operate more smoothly. Champion's price was less than half of one of the other estimates I obtained, and their salesman and installer were both very professional. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: New double-pane vinyl windows to replace old single-pane aluminum windows in three rooms of my house.

+ -1 moreAfter purchasing an older 1960's ranch style home in Utah we knew that the paper thin single payne windows wouldn't cut it. At the time that is all we knew is that we wanted to upgrade the windows but that was it. We weren't sure what exact type of windows we wanted but just that we wanted new modern looking double payne windows that were much more energy efficient and functional than the ones we had. To be honest I had never heard of Champion Windows before our real estate agent recommended that we take a look at them if we wanted really nice new windows. My wife and I had originally just assumed they were just like any other new-age double payne windows but once the sales rep came to our home and showed us the difference, we were amazed at the difference. I never thought that there would be such a huge difference between the various types of double payne windows but once we saw the difference with our own eyes we knew we couldn't settle for any other windows and that we had to have Champion Windows. When I first saw the purchase price for 13 full size windows I was a little sticker shocked be but after seeing the demonstrations of the windows it was hard to feel good about going another direction. When you see how Champion Windows perform when under extreme tempuratures coupled with the versitle functions of the windows we figured that if we were going to spend that kind of money for upgraded windows we might as well upgrade to the best. My wife and I were first time home buyers with a lot on our plates but our sales rep Fred Panucci made the process fun and enjoyable rather than feeling like we were just checking another item off our to-do list. Fred was very attentive to what we were looking for and was not "salesy" AT ALL. Fred took the time to clearly show the capabilities of the windows and how they would make our lives that much better.

+ 0 moreOverall - I checked out their showroom first to see what I wanted; after that; an appointment was made and the salesman came to the house to measure and go over the exact door type I wanted and finish, i.e., white on the inside and dark brown for the outside...chose the handle I wanted and he made sure the door would open and shut in the direction we wanted. It took approximately six weeks for the door to come in and they promptly installed it. Unfortunately, the door handle was upside down on the door (which we didn't know) and they insisted on making it right. A few weeks later they were back not only did they replace the handle but actually replaced the whole door. We were surprised and very happy with their service.
Description of Work: We replaced a sliding glass door - our old one was very rickety - the lock didn't work and the door handle was not very stable. We felt it not safe (we bought the house in September of 2011 on short sale). The reason I chose Champion is because I had purchased Champion windows and doors for my condo several years ago and would not go with anyone else. The quality is outstanding - the difference in noise abatement and keeping the weather out is wonderful. The door slides easily and has four locks on it - it is very solid. My husband was very impressed with the quality. Champion was very responsive to our needs... I love Champion Windows. The cost is worth the security.

+ 1 moreWe had Champion install our upstairs front windows a few years ago and when it came time to replace the main floor windows we called them again. We had another local window company install some on the back of our house and the quality of Champion windows was better. Plus we had a great sales rep to work with, Gary Drevenstedt, who was always willing to work with our needs and made sure we were satisfied. This summer we had them build an enclosed patio room. They did a very professional job and we love how it turned out.
Description of Work: We've had Champion windows installed in the front of our house and were very happy with the quality and service. When we decided to add a patio room to our home we got estimates from 3 different companies. They were comparable in price but knowing the quality of Champion we decided to have them build it. We are very happy with the result.

+ -1 moreI have had them install windows twice. The quality of their product is very good, but it is extremely pricey. I don't know if the price is justified. They did a fair amount of damage to drapes and things when they were installing the windows. The work was not done by them. They had hired contractors to install the windows, and those contractors did a very poor job. I complained to the company, and I never got a response. I had them give another estimate that was too high. They estimated $3,000 on a job that I had received bids of $2,000 for. The product was good, but the installation was awful. A response to my concerns was nonexistent.

+ 0 moreThe quality of the windows and doors was great, but the installation was horrible and poor workmanship. The size of the front door which was installed was an incorrect size, so they had to cut out part of the brick in the front of our home. When they cut the brick, they also cut the electric wiring to our door bell. We had to change our door bell from an electric one to a battery-powered door bell. The men who did the installation on our home were let go from their positions about 2 weeks after they did the work on our home. The salesman and customer service team seemed fine, they just seem to hire inexperienced men to install their products.
Description of Work: We had all of the windows and outside doors in our home re-installed.

+ -1 moreJust to make a very long story short we are still after all this time waiting for that 100% satisfaction guarantee. There are repairs that need to be done . I still can't even open laundry room window . After being patient and hoping to finally get things resolved with this company we are still at the we'll get out there first thing in the morning but then no show and no call. After this has gone on so many times, we are to a point of frustration that no one should have to feel. We spent $60,000.00 on this job paid cash and expected descent customer service all I can assure you is I will never use this company again. This has been the worst experience we have ever had and we have remodeled more than one house.

+ 0 moreJason at Champion was knowledgeable and low-pressure, and the negotiated prices were fair and ball-park for similar companies. The contract was signed and and a check for half paid on 8/27, with the promise of delivery within 6-9 weeks. The windows arrived 10/21 and were scheduled to begin 10/23. Dave and Colby arrived at 7:30 AM on 10/23 and had every window and the door replaced by 6:00 that night. They returned at 7:00 AM 10/24 to complete the finish-details and clean up the debris, finishing at 11:00 AM. I paid the remaining half of the bill and we were finished. I've rarely seen a contractor with such a work ethic. The quality of the installation, not to mention the product, was first class, and Doug went beyond the letter of the contract to "finish" areas adjacent to our large front windows. We couldn't be more pleased, and would recommend Champion to anyone. Thanks very much.
