Two men did the job and were very professional. They matched the old color exactly and mixed a formula that will keep the paint on the metal door frm cracking. They did a good job of cleaning up.

We had called a number of different painters, some from Angie's List, others from recommendations of friends. We quickly found out that apparently, the economy is not affecting local painters much, as most were either booked for months, or not interested in the work. Of those (minus CertaPro) that bid, they were all breath takingly high numbers. In fact, one bid had the amount for this job higher than the bid he gave to do our ENTIRE exterior (2 story 100 year old home). Clearly, this was not a painter's dream job. Tyler from CertaPro was the only one who didn't make faces and act like it was going to be the worst job ever. His bid also came in at about half of the others, which made me pretty nervous. But because of his professionalism, the price, their guarantees, and the fact that they could get started in about a week, we went with them. They came promptly the first day and went to work. When I got home, they were still at it, and there were some gaps in the molding that I asked them to take care of a bit better, which they were happy to do. The next day, the gaps I'd pointed out, they did a really nice job of taking care of, and overall, throughout the project, they did great prep work on the nail holes. As the job progressed, though, they took less time to fix other gaps and uneven places (with some sanding). I think they were pressed to get the job done quickly because of the pricing. Overall, though, I think they did a good job with tough situation. I would have liked to have had the prep work done to a higher degree, but for the price, I can't fault them too much (if I'd gotten that kind of prep work from the other painters that bid for us, you can be sure they would've been back to make it beyond perfect). After they finished, they cleaned up better than it was when they came (we had a lot of dust from the remodel, etc.), which was nice. We did see, though, that most of the hardware (hinges, some handles, etc.) had some paint and lots of sticky residue from the painters tape. Because the hardware is oil rubbed bronze, I'm a bit particular about it, and I didn't want to try and get it off myself and ruin the finish. They also left a faint residue of paint on our brand new deck (composite decking) that I wasn't too thrilled about. I should also mention, though, that they did a really great job with the touchups - you would have no idea that they're touched up/patched up areas. Tyler called after the job was completed to follow up and see how I felt about everything. I mentioned the above (hardware and deck), and he scheduled a time to come look at it. He was very professional about it, and let me know that if they had to replace anything, they would. They came out this morning as planned, and looked at the deck and hardware. They purchased some solvents and scrubbed the deck clean - the paint is all gone now - and got all the paint and sticky stuff off the hardware. I'm very pleased with this portion of the return work, and satisfied. The only lasting complaint I have is that they insisted on final payment in full on the last day of painting as they were going out the door. I wasn't home at the time to inspect (and I wouldn't have paid them until all the above issues were resolved), but my wife is nicer than me, and paid them. In the long run, it didn't matter, because they were professional and true to their guarantee. But typically, I don't think you should receive payment in full until the job is 100% complete. Turned out to be a minor thing, really - but something to keep an eye out for. Overall, though, for the price, the timing (both how soon they could start and how quickly they finished the job), the professionalism, I'm satisfied with it. It looks beautiful, and likely only I will notice the little gaps and such in the trim work.

1. Tyler, the estimator, showed up when he said he would. He gave us a written, detailed contract before leaving. We also received a discount for being on Angie's List. 2. The color consultant also showed up when she said she would. She was helpful and patient as we went through the process. 3. Tyler took numerous calls as we were ironing out details. If he wasn't immediately available, he always called us back. 4. The guys who came to paint showed up every day on time, very careful about powerwash, scraping and painting. They were careful, and meticulous in their efforts. One of our neighbors saw what a great job they did on our front door and came over to talk with them about paining. They were all personable and easy to approach with questions. They cleaned up every day without fail. 5. Certapro came back out several days after the job was completed to do a walk through and pick up the check. We had no complaints. We would recommend them without reservation.

One room was fair, the other was inadequate. I had the estimator (Tyler) came back, who also saw what I did. They painters were sent back out and the job was completed to perfection! I now can’t speak highly enough of them!

They were professional and they did come out. I did not have to spend any money for it.

They came when they said they would each day until the job was finished. They protected my shrubs and cleaned up after themselves each day. They also did a professional job filling all the cracks as they had said they would. Took time to help me decide on the colors and were very polite and respectful. I would highly recommend CertaPro to others.

The Painters were professional, courteous, thorough and seemed to really know what they were doing. The end result was Perfect! Overall a very pleasant experience.

Got two bids in the spring, this one was lower and included ''professional'' painters rather than college students, scheduled work for September. Called to confirm and start date was pushed to October. Workers showed up unannounced- we both had to go to work. Supervisor spoke English but was not on site most of the time. Powerwashing begun and then paint spraying the second day without much if any scraping. By the weekend when we could inspect the work, it was clear that the prep was inadequate. Could not communicate with on site workers about our concerns. Called supervisor and owner several times with requests for work to be redone. They were always responsive to our concerns but then did not show up to supervise the work when it was clear that the workers lacked sufficient experience to do it right. In the end the job was done right but with problems: overspraying onto decorative items, use of wrong color for trim, work late into the evening, oil drips from trucks on our driveway.

I think that they are a little more expensive than other companies, but they are well worth it. They kept me informed of what is happening, they were always on time and they fixed the problems that did come up.
