Description of Work: After the initial contact via email from the vendor I was asked to give 3 dates as possible dates for the service to be provided. Each date I entered was on a Saturday as I am a nurse working full time and that is the best time for me to have work performed. Entering these dates the system responded each time telling me to enter correct information. I finally figured out that if you put a week day not a Saturday the entry was accepted. So I agreed in my note to have them come after 4pm when I get home from work. The vendor responded to my email saying their hours of work were 7-9 in the morning and the latest appointment time 2-4 in the afternoon. Their hours begin after I am at work and end before I am off work and home. There is no one else at my home so they were unable to provide the service during my available hours. I emailed them back and said their hours of business didn't work with my work hours of 6:30 am to 4pm. I didn't hear back. That's when I contacted Angie's List staff via email asking for a refund of my $29.00. Thanks Susan Trammell

Description of Work: After checking all electrical outlets in the house, it was determined that the electric meter burned out. After Rocky Mountain opened and tested the electic box, a new meter was installed. I was very pleased with the service provided.

Description of Work: They installed a ceiling fan in our vaulted ceiling bedroom, and installed a fixture in our family room. We were totally satisfied, and will use them again when we replace our kitchen lighting.

Description of Work: I think we had different things in mind for what they would do. I have a house with many rooms, but particularly wanted outdoor lighting assessed. When I asked if the technician would look at an outlet in my basement that had had scorch marks on it prior to a recent paint job, he appeared reluctant, and then hardly helped me--a middle aged woman--move a short but solid wood shelf with books on it out of the way to see the outlet. My husband and I both felt underwhelmed by this service, although for whatever price we paid I think we got out money's worth, just not anything that felt like a deal or a particularly thorough investigation.

Description of Work: I was hoping to buy a house. I had already had someone inspect it and he suggested I needed a specialist to look into the electrical problems. Black Diamond explained that they do not do this sort of inspection for free (as when giving estimates to homeowners). That completely made sense to me. You get what you pay for and I wanted a good inspection. I was super impressed with the person they sent. He was knowledgeable, polite, and professional. He did an extremely thorough inspection and explained his findings in a way that I could understand them.

Description of Work: The arrived timely, but did not call 30 minutes prior as we agreed. Did not give Angies discount they said they would based on their ad. The $180/visit repair did not resolve the problem.

Description of Work: Jared came out and did a whole house electrical audit. He cheerfully but without any pressure, suggested upgrades I might want to seriously consider in the future. I will definitely use them when I'm ready to do the upgrades.
