We are very pleased with Black Diamond Electric. My husband contacted them this morning, and Travis was at our house by 3pm. He stayed for as long as it took to fix, and dealt with our internet provider (which isn't easy or his job). We will always go through these guys again.

The technician arrived on time and went right to work determining whether or not a circuit breaker was malfunctioning. After testing the breaker and finding it to be in good condition the electrician asked to look at the equipment the electrical circuit supplied. He discovered very quickly a small water drip that was migrating into the control circuit of the equipment causing the circuit breaker to trip. I made the repair he suggested and have not had any more problems. I was very impressed with the honesty and integrity of the technician and would defintely use them in the future. I recommend them highly should you need electrical services. Their prices are very fair and they do not upsell.

The service provided arrived right on schedule, began checking outlets in each room, then the fuse box. He told me that I have copper wiring, which is superior, and noted that my system was in excellent condition. I asked him if there was anything he would suggest to insure that it remain excellent. He stated that his company frequently installed a surge protector for the entire electrical system. With my specific location in mind, I thought that would be an excellent improvement to my dwelling. The surge protector was a rapid install, and the service provider showed me how to determine if everything was running properly, or if there was a problem. The service provider was most professional and I appreciate the service I received from Black Diamond.

I called and got service the same day, which was great since I was leaving town the next day. The guys that came out were very professional and friendly. They were also good about cleaning up afterward. I was very happy with the work and would definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them to anyone else.

The job was done efficiently and professionally. Jared was excellent at overseeing the project and making sure all the details were taken care of. He was very clear in communicating. We went with this company because their bid was so clear and detailed. This same professionalism continued on through the entire project. .

I think they are reasonable in their prices. They are quite professional. They came out pretty quickly to give me an estimate. They were polite, fast, friendly, and got the job done right.

They were very thorough, and spent a lot of time looking over everything. We just purchased an older home, and they were able gave us a lot of good recommendations to help us bring our house up to code.

Jared arrived right on time, which was much appreciated. He was very pleasant and professional and got right to work. I had purchased ceiling fans for both of my daughters rooms as well as mine. A dear friend of mine was visiting from out of town and was kind enough to take some time out of his day to help me with a few items around my house, so he had already installed both of my daughters fans. Perfectly I might add! Unfortunately my friend did not have time to install my ceiling fan during his visit. So when I saw the offer for ceiling fan installation, I was thrilled. Jared had my fan up and running in no time at all. He cleaned up and was on his way in less than 45 minutes. Unfortunately I didn't realize until later that evening when I arrived home from work that Jared had connected the light switch and fan switch incorrectly. I had my house wired for the ceiling fans when I built it. The first switch is the light and the second switch is the fan. I learned, when my friend installed my daughters fans that there is a red wire a black wire and a stripped wire that have to be connected to matching wires on the ceiling fan. My friend is an accountant, not a contractor of any type. I would have thought that an electrician would have known this as well?? I'm very happy that my fan is up but I hate that the switches are backwards!! This may not seem like a big deal and I've tried to adjust but there is now a delay when you turn the light on because that's the wire that is supposed to be connected to the fan!! I should have called Jared back the next day and had him come and correct the error. Unfortunately that means taking time off of work again which right now is not an option! The fan is up and running but it's not right. This is not a complex task and it should have been installed correctly. My friend did it for free and he did it perfectly. I guess I should have been more patient and simply waited for my friends next trip to SLC!!

Jared was very professional and did the electric inspection thoroughly. At the end I suggested that he look at the doorbell and see why it did not work. We saw that the plunger had melted plastic around it and that the copper coil was fried. He replaced the transformer that was not working and replaced the doorbell chimer and button. It worked fine after. I then asked him to put in surge protection on the main electric panel.

It was a GREAT experience from the moment Jason came to give me an estimate until the job was done, payment made and last of the paperwork signed. Jason was the consummate professional-he spent close to an hour examining my home and asking questions and explaining things as he prepared his estimate. Later that same day I had an appointment with a different contractor-he spent less than 10 minutes with me. With Black Diamond I knew exactly what to expect and I understood the what and why of what needed to be done. They started the job on time and were finished as promised. He did extra things for me and checked in on a daily basis to keep me informed on their progress. As an older single woman, I'm always just a little nervous about "getting taken"...but Black Diamond provided me with a great service. Their price was fair and their work first class.

Don't ask them to come and give an estimate because the estimate included undoing things that then had to be fixed and we coudn't do it ourselves. Don't assume that the $30 discount for Angie's list customers will amount to much and I had to ask for it.

It went very well. They did a great job. They also fixed a plug on my clothes dryer that went bad when my breaker when out and replaced a light in my bathroom for me. I would definitely use them again in the future!
