Service was provided by Travis. He arrived promptly on schedule. I had an electrical outlet near our horse trough intended to power the heater during the winter months. It had been inoperative for quite some time but I wasn't sure why. Travis troubleshot the system, determined the cause of the problem, and repaired it. He was courteous and pleasant and was a good representative for his company. He repaired the fault using only one new component so there was little additional cost over the service charge. I have used Diamond Electric in the past and have found them reputable and proficient. I recommend their services and would use them again.

It went very well. The technician was punctual, professional, and very helpful. He was able to troubleshoot the problem and fixed it quickly. Would recommend them to anyone.

The work was just completed in our house and we are pleased to this point. I had several different company come and give me estimates for the work. By far, Black Diamond was the least expensive (although another company dropped their price to a competitive level). I felt that Dan when he did the estimate knew very well the materials offered. In fact, one of the other electrician was not even aware of the availability of a QO panel for residential homes. I spent quite a bit of time researching types of panel and both of the panels that they quoted for me were highly rated, especially the QO panel. I felt like I actually got a deal based on the work that was completed. Jason was the technician that completed the work for us. He was prompt arriving right when I was told they would be here. He and another technician (Jason), went straight to work and were able to get all the work done in a timely manner so that the electricity could be turned back on. Jason was very upfront with me about the possibility of sheetrock damage before he started the work. The only reason we had any was because of the phone jack that was located too close to the panel and the new panel was larger. But none of the damage was actually created by him. Overall, this has been a positive experience. I decided to go with black diamond even over a personal referral of another electrician because I felt they had high review on angie's list and the price was better. They were patient with me as I called back several times to ask questions and they always returned my calls in a timely manner. I would recommend them for electrical work.

We had a $29.00 coupon to check "all of our household electrical". When the technician came out, he told us that meant just the main electrical fuses. We had already paid the $29.00 for the service, but were charged more for checking other parts of the electricity in the house, example, lights that would not work, etc. He did connect the electrical and tightened a couple of light sockets to get lights on, but charged us $179.00 for the service; that was in addition to the $29.00 already paid for checking the "whole house electrical" We think the advertising and terminology were deceiving.

The power in my garage was going off without warning, or apparent cause, and the circuit breaker that was supposedly assigned to the garage did not seem to be linked to the garage. Jason from Black Diamond reviewed the situation and tracked it back to a faulty GFCI outlet in the bathroom, of all places. It turns out that the garage light, door opener, and an outlet (plus an outlet my deck) were all on the bathroom circuit to take advantage of the GFCI set up there. Jason replaced the faulty plug, and verified that the power was restored to the affected lights and plugs. Additionally, he provided information about my home's wiring that I probably wouldn't have found on my own, except by pure chance. The service was quick and efficient. He explained everything clearly to me, made sure I was comfortable having him move around the house, and generally, communicated everything very well. Additionally, he left no mess behind and answered questions about a potential future electrical project for me. I was incredibly satisfied, and I would heartily recommend Black Diamond Electric to anyone in need of their services.

I bought the Bid Deal Thursday afternoon and they were able to come out the following Monday morning! Jason showed up on time and started the job and then Bryce got there and finished the installation. I asked questions and they were both very friendly and anwered them and explained the process to me. They cleaned up any mess and even came back and installed a second dimmer for me. They didn't mind my dog. Two super nice guys who were prompt, professional, friendly. I would definately refer Bryce with Black Diamond to do any electrical job big or small. Bryce was awesome! They did a good job. The cost of the service was extreme. The people I came in contact were very good. I was really happy with them. He followed through with the phone calls we made. He came when he said he would. He returns his calls promptly which is important especially with contractors, as a lot of them do not do that. I will use him again in the future if the price is more reasonable.

The representative took down a shelf in order to get to my circuit breaker box. After he was finished before leaving the home he did not replace the shelf with the items!

GREAT JOB! EXCEPT HE LEFT OUR OUTSIDE SECURIY LIGHT OUT WHEN HE REPLACED OUR OUTLET IN THE LIVING ROOM.

The electrician was prompt and professional. He did what he said and it took about 2 hours. But my compliant was the price. Almost $200 for 2 hours of work. That seems high. They had an automatic $29 fee for just showing up in addition to whatever additional costs there were. The electrician said he would give me a break but the cost was $229 and then they took off the AL coupon plus a another $10. Sorry, that just seems over the top. I wondered if they were escalating the fee to make up for the $30 AL coupon. Perhaps other electrical businesses operate this way too, but it just seems excessive and over priced.

They did a great job. I will use them for the work when I choose to get the work done.

It cost more money, but my home is now up to code and safer, which I like.

Jason was on time did all the work that was listed. he even came back a couple of days later to recheck a fixture to ensure it was holding up properly.

I arrived to the appointment while the Provider was performing the work. They check the breaker box and one outlet. He didn't check what he was supposed to. When I spoke with the owner of the company, he stated "We don't check everything on newer homes." The Deal Included the following: Checking for proper placement of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors Testing all alarms Checking all electrical panels, main breakers, and circuit breakers Testing all outlets for proper operation and safety Inspecting water heater, air conditioner, and furnace to make sure they can be safely disconnected during an emergency Checking GFCI and ARC-fault breakers Evaluating electrical service cable and grounding system Includes a post-inspection report identifying areas of safety concern

We had been having some trouble with flickering. I described the problem to him and he was great about going the extra mile to figure out what it was. Our house was under a home warranty, and Black Diamond wasn't on the warranty companies list of providers - otherwise I definitely would have used them for the repair. They were great and would certainly use them again

After we discussed the price, they decided that putting gfci's would be appropriate. I was told by the manager that they would let me know up front what the cost and time would be. We discussed some other electrical items needing to be put up to code. After all was done, they did not put the basement up to code but they charged me for two workers who worked 16 and 12 hours each at 65.00 an hour. Since I was at work, I had no way to determine why they needed two workers to do the job and why they needed to have worked that many hours since the first and most important issue was not addressed- the basement wiring. On the one item that they did repair in the basement - the wall outlet- they had to come back and repair after I called them because they did not allow enough room to put the cover back over the outlet. I felt that they did not keep me informed on the process and what the cost would be and that I basically filled out a blank check for them. I felt the cost was too high. I will not use them again.

The electrician did a whole house and garage inspection of the electrical system. Upon his recommendation we had him install new smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, a surge protector, and a new outlet. He was excellent to work with and willing to answer my questions. I will certainly call Black Diamond the next time I need help
