Friendly girl answered the phone and a nice conversation but it ended abruptly. I have a large electrical project need but they want $29.00 just to stop by so that they can do a proposal? I've never had a contractor ask me for a fee to do a proposal. But, if it works for them ...

I declined their service. My money was refunded.

Awesome. I had issues with the outlet in the bathroom and he identified it was incorrectly wired and fixed it.

Jared is wonderful. Came at the end of the 2 hour time frame I was given. Worked diligently for 2 1/2 hours doing the above work. He is pleasant, trustworthy, and clean. This is the second time I have used this company.

Jared, from Black Diamond conducted the inspection on 7/7/14 and went over what he found and his recommendations. He was prompt and professional and was spot on with his recommendations based on other assessments/partial inspections I had done. I felt very comfortable with the service so I scheduled them to perform the work later that week on Friday, 7/11/14. Jeremy and his co-worker arrived promptly and enthusiastic to begin their work. They were very professional and Jeremy was very knowledgable and skilled. Both were courteous and pleasant. They had a long punch list such as; installing a panel & outdoor motion light, GFCI protection inside, outside and garage, rewiring kitchen GFCI, and fixing an exposed outlet & lighting. They worked very efficiently and Jeremy was patient and skilled in troubleshooting an unexpected issue with an outdoor light. I was very impressed with the quality of his work. They also took the time to ask me questions before doing the work regarding my preference when applicable. Jeremy took care to talk to me about options and cost, making sure I knew he could do something either way depending on my preference and what the cost difference was. Based on this experience, I decided to schedule a non-critical project with them. A week later they installed a bathroom ceiling fan. Again, Jeremy took the time to double check my preferences before completing the work, found the best & least expensive route for outside venting (bathroom was in the basement). Again, the work was prompt, of high quality and reasonably priced. My experience with Jeremy and his co-worker was so pleasant and the quality of the work they did has resulted in Black Diamond Electric being my electrician of choice. I will go to them for any electrical needs in the future. And I will probably ask for Jeremy F. !

I was in a pinch with a party starting in several hours and they were able to come over immediately, locate the problem, and resolve all of my issues in a fast and professional manner.

It was a good 1 hr spent to assess multiple facets of the house: smoke and CO2 what outlets need grounding options for moving circuits to faciliate a new refridgerator in the garage outside electric shutoff panel has a structural issue--they estimatd cost to both replace and repair

It went very well! They came out to assess the work and to do an estimate, then they returned to do the actual installation. The technicians were very professional and helpful. They gave me options and asked for my opinion at every step in the process. They left the house as clean as they found it, and completed the work quickly and to my complete satisfaction.

The electrician showed up on time. I wasn't there, a friend was watching the house, so I asked that he assess the situation and call me back with an estimate. Well two hours went by and I never got a call. Come to find out he had left. I called the company to find out what happened. An hour later they called me back and said it was a much bigger job than I wanted and that it would be at least $1,600 to pull down some old wires in the attic. I am not an electrician but it looks like a small job to me. It felt like they were trying to way over charge me for a simple job. They are supposed to be emailing me a quote, which I have not received yet. At that price I will not be using their services.

We purchase a whole-home electrical inspection and were very satisfied with the service. The tech was very thorough and direct about things that were in great shape and things that need to be taken care of. We were happy to have all the info and will definitely work with Black Diamond in the future.

It went fine but it wasn't as precise as I had hoped. I had hoped to learn more about the layout of my electrical system, which did not happen. I am aware of a number of options that I have going forward and some improvements that I can make.

These guys are the best organized and effective service personnel I have ever hired. I called on Monday morning and explained that I needed this cable hookup installed right away because my elderly father had just moved in and wanted to be able to watch Fox News. Someone came out the same day to assess the job and give me an estimate, and he scheduled the installation for the next morning. I heard him telling the scheduler, "Her dad is going crazy without Fox News." They were here by 8:30 a.m. and finished about 90 minutes later. They did neat work, but vacuumed the area under the attic access door anyway. The outlet installation was an afterthought. They were able to immediately give me a quote on the price and had all the materials needed on the truck. My favorite part was that they helped me move the cable box from the old location and get it hooked up. When I didn't have a long enough coaxial cable they gave me one out of their supplies so that by the time they left my dad was happily watching his favorite channel with no problems. By the way, Black Diamond answers their phone until 11:30 at night and offer emergency service calls when necessary.

Our house was built in the 1930's and still has original knob and tube wiring typical from that era. Jason did a fantastic job assessing the current electrical setup and wiring and then walking us through different upgrade options in order to bring our electrical wiring up to current residential standards. He gave us several options to get different amounts of work done, based on our budget and our safety concerns. While he went through all the different upgrade options, he made sure to very thoroughly explain the costs and safety benefits involved with each option, as well as explain why the costs would go up for each option. Jason was very knowledgeable and made sure to explain things in layman's terms, as well as give us candid advice on what he would do were he in our situation. Jason stayed for well over two hours, patiently answering all our questions while we explored the different upgrade options. At no time did we feel any pressure or any kind of sales tactic on Jason's part, just a straightforward and honest appraisal of how much it would cost to perform the electrical work. His concern for safety and quality of work was very apparent in his explanations. By the time he was done we felt perfectly informed about our options without feeling pressured at all.

Some of the best customer service we have had. Jeremy and Brad were on time, very courteous and professional, and great personalities. They replaced a dimmer rocker switch off a ceiling fan with a regular rocker switch...which eliminated the electrical humming noise. Total cost was $31 with the Angie's List $30 off coupon for service. I highly recommend Black Diamond Electric, and especially Jeremy F. He is a class act, and knows exactly what he is doing in the electrical biz. I will use Black Diamond for all my future electrical needs...Jeremy in particular. He should be promoted, if not already. Outstanding Service!!

Jared arrived well within the 2 hour scheduled window and was quick to explain everything -- why a home surge protector was a necessity and more importantly, having our panel checked. He found a few connections that needed tightening but other than that, it was a quick and painless procedure. I asked a lot of questions and Jared was more than willing to answer them all. I explained that we had never had the entire panel removed or checked and he said that it was always a good idea as some panels they pull are a mess, not only with wiring but also with whatever else might have gotten in there. He was happy to see copper wiring since some of the homes built in the late-seventies used aluminum wiring and it had a much higher fire potential. All in all, worth the price just to have everything double checked since electricity and water seem to be two things that homeowners leave until something drastic happens...nice peace of mind.

My house is older and has had at least two major additions done to the home. The technician evaluated the electrical boxes (there were four), and made recommendation to bring the home up to code and improve the electrical system. Two boxes were replaced. I am very satisfied with the work and I feel safer in my home.

Arrived on time. Was friendly and professional. Solved problems and took effectively care of several electrical dysfunctions. Did not put heavy furniture back where it belonged. Overall satisfactory performance and charges in expected range.

My experience with Black Diamond Electric was great. They were professional and easy to work with. BDE listened to my concerns about the project and offered good advice and options. BDE offered to make new light switches from my antique switches when I expressed disappointment in losing them. When I had a question about an expense, they were friendly and handled the confusion generously.

Start switch was needed to allow control of 220 V irrigation pump from my lawn sprinkler control box. Switch had been moved during basement construction project and needed to be relocated and re-installed. Black Diamond responded quickly to the request, came on time for the appointment, and finished the job quickly. I will use them again.

Jeremy was great to work with, very professional and on time. He and his coworker worked extremely hard to get the job done in 1 day. He provided additional education on the electrical system of our home and information on possible future services. He even performed several smaller services to the electrical system and included them without charging more. We had a small mis-communication and he came back another day and fixed it to our liking and charged us less than originally quoted. Jeremy was honest that they are not the cheapest nor are they the most expensive electrical company, but you do receive quality work and we would use them again and refer them out.

The technician was prompt, arriving at the house at the agreed upon time. He performed some troubleshooting to determine the cause of a couple of small problems, and made the appropriate repairs. The technician was knowledgeable and completed repairs quickly. We were completely satisfied with the service and will use Black Diamond Electric again.
