Justin with Black Diamond has installed a furnace and a new A/C unit for me and he just came out and installed a Micropure MX4 Total Home Air Purifier. Justin is a very knowledgeable hard working no nonsense professional that explains things to you and gets the job done in a timely manner.

Got a quote for water softener and whole house filter replacement work. I had already bought the equipment. Online reviews of the equipment said they had theirs installed for around $300-500. Black Diamond quoted a half-day (4 hours but didn't break down the hourly rate charged in the quote) and cost of $1550 for some PEX pipe and labor...so paying a plumber for a simple job over $350/hour? No, thank you. I don't know if they charge different depending on how nice your house looks or something, but I found that rate offensive. The techs they sent were professional though and seemed to know their stuff.

I reached out to Black Diamond to switch out an existing ceiling fan. Our Technician Andrew was amazing, as well as Emily who let me know when Andrew was on his way. Andrew kept me updated through the whole process. He was quick, efficient, and professional. I will most definitely contact Black Diamond for any of my electrical needs.

The technician that came out to the house took a look at the water heater and gave us his expert opinion. He did not perform any Services, saying that it would possibly provoke an issue with the water heater. His recommendation was that we leave it alone, and give me a quote for a new water heater. He did not charge for his visit, nor for his recommendations. I was grateful for the honest remarks about the condition of the water heater, and that no additional issues were provoked.

I'm not sure how it's possible that I could really, actually like a plumber that I paid $5,000 to but I do. Black Diamond is great! Initially I called them just to get a third quote on a project I needed completed on our house which we rent out in Sugarhouse. But I ended up using them because they didn't disappear and they could get the job done quicker than the first two quotes. Their price was about the same. I am out of state and know nothing about plumbing but they took pictures, kept me updated and did the job quickly and well. The plumber even answered his cell phone late in the evening when I had a follow up question. (Poor guy I could hear his kids in the background. Yes, I'm that person.) Anyway, I've used them a couple of times now and every single person I've dealt with is polite and professional. They invest in good people. I highly recommend.

Black Diamond came out and replaced our main sewer line. Their estimate was very comparable to the other estimates I received, and I couldn't be happier I chose them! They lined the clay pipe sewer, which had become unreliable with root intrusion. This service took a little over a day. They were professional and accurately expressed the timing and cost. The landscape was far less disrupted than a pipe replacement. The office staff were also very helpful.

I called at 8:00 a.m. and Chris Jr. was here before 10:00. He assessed the problem and quoted a price. He got right to work, fixed the leak, and gave me some good tips about how to keep my drains clean and clear. The whole process was quick and painless.

Estimate process and installation process very professional. I am pleased! However they provide little follow up afterwards. A simple call for information regarding the replacement of my furnace filter resulted in no returned call, as promised. Instead, an email about how important it is to replace your air filter. Duh! That’s why I called! This is typical behavior for companies it seems but a sad response to a customer that spent nearly $14,000

It was a superb job. The technician took everything apart and cleaned tons of dirt out of the furnace and carefully checked all electrical signals and voltages including the capacitor for the fan. The unit works better now than when I bought the condo two years ago. I worked for a natural gas company in Pittsburgh years ago and had to learn to tune furnaces as part of my management training. I believe the technician's name was Nick. I can't give him enough compliments for his professionalism and compitence.

Appointment was made quickly to our satisfaction, they did a one day install. They knew what they were doing. They also replaced a pressure regulator for the home water supply for a very reasonable cost. Overall price was competative, and they did more for that price than other estimates. Very satisfied.

They required that I schedule an appointment to for a repair estimate and then have someone come back a second time to do the work, which was frustrating since I have to take time off work for both appointments. However, there estimate for the installation of the two facets was $600, which is outrageous and the reason I didn't use them. I have another plumber installing the two facets for $150 total.
