The inside ceiling of the carport is old wall board and was peeling badly due to rain water damage. It is 46 years old and looked like it might need a costly replacing. Dave and Andy Atkisson did an impressive job of restoration and repainting, extending the life of the ceiling several more years. They have been our outstanding interior, deck, and exterior house painters for at least 15 years, carrying on the business when their father retired. They are the most reliable, professional and skilled painters anyone could want. They are sometimes called to Nevada, California, and New York to do specialized painting jobs and have painted the interior gilding of the Cathedral of the Madeline in Salt Lake City. They can advise expertly on products and even colors if the owner wants that help. They painted our house exterior (they suggested the two-color combination we love) in 2005 and it shows only minor wear on the side that gets the most sun and precipitation. Mostly, the paint job looks new. They are moderately expensive but it is money well spent because their work is outstanding and they clean up impeccably. In addition, they are nice guys and a pleasure to work with. And I am not easy to please.
