Description of Work: A wood burning insert was installed in our existing masonry fireplace. They custom made a face-plate which looks fantastic and found a design I liked while working with quite a few limitations. Everyone was really nice and they made sure I was satisfied!

Description of Work: The pilot on the fire place was out, wanted them to relight it and fix the blower motor. After taking the whole fire place apart and installing a new part to relight the pilot, I was told that the blower motor would be another $250.00. Since he already spend more than two hours on it, I could not afford the motor. I could not have imagined that relighting the pilot would end up that expensive.

Description of Work: Alpine removed old fireplace. Lowered and installed new fireplace. My only complaint is that I was initially told the date the date the work would be done. No one had shown that morning so I called. Apparently they had planned to come the next day, but no one communicated that to me. I had to adjust my schedule and plans.

Description of Work: Alpine fireplace created a fireplace for us where there was none. They accessed a gas line under our wood floor to use with a new gas fireplace, and framed and sheet rocked a chimney around it. The contractors were all very nice. The fireplace installer was careful to protect our wood floor and to clean up after himself. The framing of the chimney turned out just as I imagined it. For the sheet rocking there was a misunderstanding as to how the base should be finished, so it was quickly finished on the bottom edge in a lower quality than I would expect. Also, they did not make any effort to protect our wood floor or to tape off the edges of the fireplace and floor to protect and create a cleaner edge. I expect less of my rookie work and more of the professionals I'm paying! Always be extra specific on even the fine details with any contractor you use!

Description of Work: Our pilot light went out on fireplace they cleaned and restarted it. It works great now. We were very satisfied with their service, very professional.

Description of Work: They were knowledge and able to predict complications due to existing construction prior to install which made their bid solid. The came when they said, the install went well and they even covered the flooring since they were in and out quite a bit. They cleaned up after themselves like they were never there! Men who can vacuum, who knew. This install was a wood to gas conversion at a rental and Ive asked them to install a new fireplace at my home. I was happy and impressed.

Description of Work: Recently moved into new home in Meridian, ID; had trouble getting the gas fireplace to work, called Alpine, talked to Mike, he agreed to come by to help, arrived as scheduled, was a terrific fellow, solved all the problems, gave me good advice on the fireplace unit I have. Mike's a great combination of a good salesman, technician, and in a broader sense, neighbor, in our new Meridian community/neighborhood. New Resident Woody in Meridian.

Description of Work: We were looking for a fireplace insert and talked to Alpine to get a quote. We did not hear from them for a couple of weeks and had to call them back to get the quote. It is a busy time of year for this type of service. Their product seemed fine and we did not have any problem with doing business with them, but decided to buy elsewhere.
