All Hours Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

While on vacation in Mexico in March 2023, I was made aware that my home boiler was not working. I called All Hours. They showed up the next afternoon and upon inspection informed me that the boiler needed to be replaced. The estimate was shocking but because of the extremely cold weather and the fact that I was out of town, I authorized the work. Upon arriving home, I met with Pete to discuss the operation of the boiler. The work that his technician did was very professional. We then discussed the cost of the project. Mark up on materials was 50%. More shocking was the $550 hourly charge. I have been a business man and am fully aware of overhead and burden costs. I also am very pro small business and like to see them thrive but not on the backs of retired, fixed income individuals. I am also very aware of how material and labor shortages are affecting all sections of the economy. I do however feel that the charges were very excessive.

Great price and good service. The serviceman doing the quote was a little blunt in telling me I needed a new water heater without asking many questions or inspecting the water heater. Other than that, I appreciated the great service.

Before a few months ago, I've never needed or wanted a plumber, but I've used All Hours three or four times now, and every time they were efficient, friendly, and professional at all stages. Office management seems to be really on the ball, and the techs who work in the field are knowledgeable and helpful. The most recent one of these times was a real pickle of a situation, with hose bibs behind washer frozen/seized and unreliable / unsafe. Within two hours of the call, the plumber was on site with new parts in hand ready to solve the problem at a reasonable price (noted below, includes parts). I will continue to use All Hours until I have a good reason not to.

Many challenges and complications, not related to the work performed but due to the age of the pipes and nature of the failure. All Hours Plumbing kept us informed on the progress and changes needed in the original plan. No additional charges were assessed for additional time, labor and materials. We followed the progress of the repairs and inspected the work done on a regular basis. This company does high quality work. The management and workers were all very professional and easy to work with. I strongly recommend this company.

From the outset, the plumber seemed baffled by how to deal with the plumbing under the sink, claiming it was all wrong. His "snake" was from a rental company, and that should have tipped us off about his lack of expertise. He quoted us a price of $275 to unclog the drain but offered us a "special deal" of about $40 less. When I pointed out that we had a coupon from Angie's List to do the job for considerably less, he hesitated, then said he'd honor the offer. A few minutes later, though, he decided he couldn't do the job after all and he left. Turns out, however, that when he left, he failed to retighten the pipes he had unscrewed, and the next time we turned on the faucet, water gushed all over the floor and the cupboard under the sink. Worst. Plumber. Ever. By the way, we later had Manwill Plumbing come out. Their plumber fixed the problem easily and he said there was nothing especially weird about the plumbing under the sink.

Less than 30 days later, our main line is again clogged. We called All Hours back, and we were told that for another $199, they would clean our drain tomorrow, and throw in a free "camera" look at our line. We were a bit surprised that there was no kind of guarantee, no break in the price, and as far as the free camera look at the line, we were already offered that to begin with. I guess my issue is that there was no attempt to work with us to make it right, or even to keep us as a customer. They only offered what they offer anyone, with no effort to even meet us in the middle. The person on the phone became exasperated with us, because we didn't notify them sooner of our dissatisfaction. Well, we would have just lived with it, had the drain remained clean. We will not be using All Hours again.

They promptly responded to my phone call and were at the house very quickly; however, I had a terrible experience from there. I adjusted the bathtub drain myself in less than 3 minutes and didn't need any parts. He quoted me $140 for this service. A new flapper will cost me a few dollars and I should be able to install that in 10 minutes or less. I am hiring one of the other plumbers I called who quoted me $95 for the toilet seal vs. $433 from All Hours Plumbing

I had All Hours out to install bathroom fixtures and new supply lines in my home. As always they were very professional and got the job done timely and done right. I have used them in the past and it is always the same great quality work. I have referred them to friends, family and clients many times in the past because they do the kind of work I expect (quality and fair) that I expect from anyone I use. Chuck demands this from himself and his team and runs an impressive operation. The work is done right and in a timely and efficient manner. Plumber called and set appointment, he made all arrangements with tenant which was awesome! He called me right away and told me what the problem was and a estimate on the cost. The faucet was a little more money than he quoted but he stuck to his original estimate. I was really happy with the services and how fast it was done. I really appreciated the phone calls letting me know when he was there and when he was finished.

I have a toilet that continually clogs. I think there is some kind of blockage (maybe a Clorox cleaning pad?) stuck inside the pipe that continually gets blocked up. I had bought a plumber's snake from Home Depot and had been able to snake it out myself on several occassions - but not this time. I was tired of putting up with it and decided it was time to call a plumber for a permanent fix. I called All Hours Plumbing which was (at that time) rated A on Angie's List. I thought that as long as I was calling a plumber, I would have them fix the bath tub faucet valve in another bathroom which was stuck and would not turn on - something I thought was a minor problem. I told them about the toilet problems and that I wanted a permanent solution to this problem so that I would not be bothered with it again. I said I wanted a camera image of the problem and they said this would be no problem. I asked that the problem with the clogged toilet be fixed once and for all. I told them that I saw them on Angie's List and that I wanted the Angie's List discount. I had high hopes when the plumber from All Hours arrived promptly at 10 AM. I reminded him that I should get the Angie's list discount. He did not provide me with a camera image and he did not bring the equipment to give me a camera image. They merely used my own plumber's snake to "force" through the clog and declared it fixed. A week later it is backed up again. I had asked for the faucet valve on the tub in another bathroom be fixed because it would not turn on. The plumber said he would rebuild the existing valve. If could not be rebuilt, he said he would need to replace it which he said was a slightly more expensive option. To work on it he had to turn off the water to the whole house. After breaking the existing valve, it could not be rebuilt, so I had no choice but to go with the "slightly" more expensive option. That turned out to be $700 more expensive! Since my water could not be turned on until it was fixed, I had no choice but to install the new $700 valve and larger valve cover (because he had to take out more of the wall to install it). All of the fixtures in the bathroom were chrome, but the plumber replaced the valve handle and valve cover with a brushed nickel set that clashed with the existing fixtures. I got him to replace the faucet which was immediately below the valve cover, almost touching it, with a brushed nickel faucet. But that left the shower, drain, and drain shut-off lever in chrome clashing with the brushed nickel valve and faucet. It looks terrible! He was going to charge me over $900 for all of this. I had to remind him again about the Angie's List discount. So after paying for all of this, a week later I have a miss-matched fixture set in one bathroom, and a hopelessly clogged toilet in the other bathroom.

They showed up right on time and got the job done in less then 10 minutes! it was great. I barely had time to write the check before its was fixed!

He was prompt. He came on a Friday night and then he charged the extra after hours. He came back to finish fixing it because he didn't have the right parts. He came back on Monday. He didn't charge us for the late night call. It was nice and he was the owner. Everything works out fine.
