Be sure you clarify the price beforehand. I paid what I agreed to pay, but I didn't realize what I was getting, and I think the price was dishonest. Bart told me I needed gutter filters and they were $50 each. I said okay, not realizing what they were or how many he was going to install. He installed 12. At that point I realized they were little filters that cost less than $3 each on amazon. I showed him the product online and asked him to clarify the price. He got defensive and told me other people had paid it, he had kids to feed, and he was in this business to make money. I confirmed that I understood he was a business, and as I said, I paid the agreed-upon price even though I thought it was dishonest because I had (by mistake) agreed to it beforehand. But in the end, I paid $640 (he had the nerve to charge *tax* on top of the markup) for equipment that cost less than $35 total online. He came back the next day, trying to apologize and return $90, but the amount was still so far off that it seemed ridiculous to me. I was afraid he would continue to show up at my house and felt scared of him. My husband asked him to leave and he has not returned. He cleaned the gutters, that is true. There were a lot of gutters. He was on time. But in the end, the total price was more than $1500, and $640 of that was for wire filters. So just make sure you are clear on what you are buying before you agree to it. He also damaged a gutter by not securing a ladder that then blew over and dented it. He apologized but did not offer to replace it or pay for it.

Husband and wife team arrived on time and stayed until the work was done. The work was more extensive and took longer then anyone expected. They took care to do it right no matter how long it would take. This brought the cost up but it was worth it in the long run to get the attention to detail.

It went very well. They were punctual and did a good job.

Very prompt and thorough. They set up, cleaned and then cleaned up their tarps, etc. In and out. But they were friendly, and even found ?a piece of Santa`s red outfit? in the chimney, which delighted our visiting grandkids. We have used these providers for years and they are the best in the business.

Service was reliable and professional. Arrived on the time stated and I didn't feel he pressured me to make any further sales. One downspout was badly clogged and they were able to clean it without having to take it apart.

I talked to him on the phone and he quoted the cost of gutter cleaning. He arrived without consulting me so I could not be there. He kept telling me other things needed to be done--clear the roof of branches, etc. Since I was not there, I could not see if I really needed this done or not. I did say yes to some of the extra services. The whole visit cost me more than he quoted me on the phone cuz I was not there and he did extra services that I had to approve or disapprove when I was not there. I do not like not having a contractor show up when it was only convenient for him.

Everything went well, my only complaint is that my big window in the front had some smudges on it and my front bedroom window was missed entirely. I didn't discover the problems until a few days later and really should have called back and I am fairly certain she would have come back. I just didn't have time. There is something unusual with my bedroom window because she is the third window washer who has missed it completely. I will pay more attention next time. Other than those small items she did a wonderful job and I will certainly hire them again.

The woman who came by herself did a good job but I feel a bit nervous for someone who comes alone. I thought she’s really nice.

They were very prompt, didn't leave any mess from the sweeping of the chimney. We felt very confident in the work performed. Cleaned up good when the job was done. The price was reasonable and made suggestions to put chimney caps on the flue tiles which prevents water damage. Also prevents animals from getting in the chimney. They cleaned our windows today and did a fabulous job. Got the hardware off the basement windows and they are sparkly clean. AB Richards is very professional. I give them A rating all the way across the board.

They gave me a quote but I was able to find someone else who would do it cheaper. They got back with an estimate within sixteen hours. That was impressive. It was a free estimate.

Bart and his wife work as a team. They did a great job and I will call on them again next season. Bart even went out of his way to put a sick Koi that was laying in my Koi pond out of its misery. Thank you Bart, I am such a wimp, I couldn't have done it.

Great service, arrived at the promised time, worked extremely hard and left our windows sparkling. Stayed within the original quote except for some add-ons to reflect problems discovered along the way, such as construction residue on basement windows. But we were kept informed and had a chance to say yes or no to each additional expense. We had an excellent experience and will use this company again.

Showed up on time and did the work professionally

Bart was very polite when answering my call - gave me an appointment two days later on a Saturday morning and was right on time. Did a fast, very clean inspection and cleaning, and was as nice as could be. Even "found" a piece of red cloth in the chimney to show to my two young kids, so see where Santa had ripped his pants last Christmas, made their day. I can't recomment Bart enough!

They showed up on time and cleaned all the rain gutters surrounding our house. Because they were so full of debris and mud, it created a bit of a mess. They thoroughly cleaned up after by hosing down our gutters, house, sidewalks, driveway, and patio.

We were expecting guests that weekend and AB Richards was very busy. In order to get the job done in time, they made special arrangements outside their normal schedule to show up first thing in the morning at 7:00 AM. They went right to work and cleaned out our fireplace, taking care to cover our furniture and floor with a tarp to keep everything clean. The job took about 45 minutes.

Bart said he'd be at our home between 10 a.m. and noon and arrived at 10:15 a.m. He covered the carpet in front of the fireplace to protect it. He needed to raise the price he quoted on the phone by $15 when he encountered a problem in the fireplace, but told me this before doing any work in case I did not approve. He swept the chimney, gave me a few pointers about using the fireplace safely, and inspected our dummy chimney. When I asked a question he didn't know the answer to, he called another chimney sweep, asked him, and promptly gave me an answer. Bart was very friendly and I was comfortable having him in my home. He did good work and I appreciated him not springing the increased price on me after the work was complete. Only one criticism, he tried to sell me new chimney caps for over $100 when my chimney caps aren't even one year old. The positive, he wasn't forceful when I said no.
