 + -1 moreI have called Furnace Doctor at terrible times--first cold snap of the year, for example--and gotten friendly service, as soon as I really needed it--without any hint of a rush charge. I've never gotten a hard sell to replace the old furnace. That's worth a lot.
Description of Work: I have used Furnace Doctor several times over the years. The latest was filter/checkup for the 3 furnaces in our 100-year-old Avenues house. Always responsive, trustworthy, and a great value. It is a very small operation, so it is sometimes hard to reach anyone on the phone. But worth the wait. My experience has been that larger companies seem more "professional"--there is someone in an office answering the phone, there is sometimes even a sales person, in effect, like the service writer at an auto dealership--but that for value and actual attention to the particular quirks of our house and our furnace, no one has come close to Furnace Doctor.

 + -1 moreHe was very knowledgeable about furnace repair. He also made us feel like he wanted to keep us satisfied by keeping the price low. He fixed problem right away and we were very pleased. We would recommend him to family and friends.
Description of Work: We had to replace the igniter on the furnace.

 + -1 moreThe owner came out to my house right away when I called him in the middle of the winter, because my furnace was leaking carbon monoxide. He was very friendly and kind.
Description of Work: He cleaned the furnace because carbon monoioxide was filling the room.
