I loved being able to pick out the exact slab of granite from their back lot. No surprises...what you see is what you get. I took samples home to get an idea of what it would look like. Ruby was great at taking time to answer all my questions. Janae came to measure and gave us a quote for several options. The install guys were great too. I needed 3 holes drilled for faucets and they were happy to do whatever I needed. Extremely happy with the entire process. My counters look like a million bucks!

All their guys were prompt, courteous and professional. I love my kitchen counters and Westwood did a very good job.

Our contractor suggested we go to Westwood to pick out our granite for our bathroom countertops because you actually go out back and pick the exact granite slab you want. Even though you choose a granite by name, it's nice to be able to actually see it in person as it does vary slightly in color. Ruby helped us out and she was great. She showed us each slab of the color name we had chosen. Then we picked out the tile to go with the granite. They had several colors and types to chose from. We were also able to take the tile outside to match it to the slab of granite. Devon came within a day to template for the granite. Right now we have their tilesetter working on installing the tile around the bath tub and in the shower. Looks great so far. The price I quoted for cost of service is not what we paid as it is included in the contract with our contractor and we were given an allowance on how much we could spend on the granite and tile.

When choosing economy granite, we were not told that the thickness I was buying required supports under the overhang to keep it from breaking. When the countertop was finished (not the back splash), they informed my husband that we would have to purchase and install supports under the overhang as it was a thin countertop and would break if it had too much weight. This was my first inkling that it was truly not economy, but inferior granite. We were also told we would need a plumber to install the sink connections, disposal and faucets. They did not provide that service. We are senior citizens which they could plainly see. They also left with the backsplash not done. They said it would be done by a sub-contractor later. When the sub finally arrived many days later, the electric boxes were uncovered and the wiring pulled out to open the area for tile. The man did a very nice job but left with wiring hanging out of the wall. They grouters came a few days later and finished it nicely. Nobody ever came to replace wiring, or said anything about the protruding wiring. We had asked the sink be installed with the disposal side on the left. When the countertop arrived it was just the opposite; although I observed the man making the template had plainly marked it correctly. To avoid re-cutting the granite they gave us a small square over a desk in the kitchen at no charge. Nice. So, in addition to getting inferior granite (we would have paid more for thicker had we known), we had to call a plumber to reinstall the sink connections and put in the faucet. I feel they should have told us what was expected. We also had to install supports. We feel this was actually part of installation that they should have done. My husband finally replaced the wiring on the backsplash.
