Cutting Edge Pools and Landscape Inc

Unfortunately, it has been a terrible experience working with this company. The man who came out to do the bid was quite the charmer. He told us of all the wonderful services they would do. We wanted someone great because we are only at the house part-time, so we wanted a company to make sure the lawn was cut and the sprinklers were doing their jobs so the lawn didn't die. In general, someone to look after the outside when we couldn't. He was recommended by a friend, but I guess they've gotten worse. The problems started with the services promised. The company was supposed to cut all the palm trees down and get rid of the dead palms. We contracted for them to do it in March 2011 and 10 emails and 5 phone calls later, they finally did it in August 2011. The person who came out originally to give us our bid never returned one email or phone call. We could finally catch someone if we were down there and tell them this was promised, but they blew us off many times. Recently we noticed our lawn was dying. We're not even sure if they come weekly, but they certainly charge us for it. They finally called once the front lawn was almost dead and mentioned they could up the water. We rely on them to tell us this, but yet they wait until it's possibly unfixable. Then they leave all the pine needles they blow just laying around so we have to come home and sweep them up. Shouldn't this be part of their job at $200 a month??? We have no problem paying for good work, but we just didn't get it. The amount they charge is outrageous for the services they perform. It seemed appropriate when we were speaking with the person bidding as they promised weed control, lawn maintenence, water monitoring, palm tree help, etc., but it appears they are only mowing our lawn (only 3 small patches) and doing nothing else unless we nag them incessently. After our contract runs out, we'll be looking around for someone who actually does the work, and for a reasonable price!
