He disconnected the power to sprinkler system control box. Have to hire another SP to come out and fix this problem. He worked really hard and was very professional.

We had a large list of small repairs. Mr. Hanson was very professional, he contacted us very quickly, made suggestions for us so we could make his time more efficient and performed a high quality service. He was always punctual and was able to complete our list in a timely manner.

Mr. Hanson was very professional. He was on time and ready to go when he got there. I showed him my prioritized list and he quickly began working on the most important item. He cut the holes in the ceiling for 3 pendant lights over the kitchen island and wired the boxes. He had no problem when I wired the lights myself so he could move onto the switch for the light over the kitchen sink. He moved the switch for the light over sink from the electrical box by the door to the box by the sink. He was very careful of the cabinets when he cut out the sheet rock to run the wires. He saved the cut sheet rock to patch the holes he had made. He was also willing to give me advise on a 3-way switch I was replacing while he was rewiring the sink light. Finally, he also moved a ceiling fan box to the center of the entry way and hung a new fan. Again, he was careful when he cut the sheet rock and used the sheet rock from the new location to patch the hole from the original location. He also had the tools in his truck to cut the down rod to the perfect length for the entry. He happily cut it a second time when I over-measured the first time. He was very friendly and helpful the entire time. I would gladly have him back to do other work around my house. When I save up some more money, I am going to call him for an estimate to finish my basement and build custom bookcases around the fireplace.

Gunnar Hanson showed up on time. We sat down to discuss what is to be done. We discussed safety protocols, health and fall protection. He didn't have all the tools, he borrowed our fish tape and 6ft ladder. He used his extension ladder on the roof work. He had electrical tape to pull wire with. He brought an assistant as we had stated it was a two- person job. He was very personable and fast. He corrected a mistake my husband made in location of installation of cameras. He installed the cameras correctly. He was very honest, attentive to detail and his willingness to make everything right. We would recommend him for similar work.

Gunnar showed up right when he said he would. He worked very hard all day long and was able to complete the work in one day. I was VERY impressed with the work that was performed. Gunnar is very detail oriented and it shows up in his work. I would consider it a perfect framing job. I am extremely happy with the work he performed, and I am getting another bid from him to install my dry wall as well. I would highly recommend Gunnar if you want quality work for a fair price.

He comes on time, gets it done, does a good job and doesn't cost a lot. Overall he is a good company. He is about the cheapest I have gotten for the quality of work that he does.

The service went great. Gunnar came out fixed my goof and the ceiling looks excellent now. Fair price, good service and was very friendly.

Gunnar was very punctual and worked hard all 3 days he was here. He knew what he was doing and explained everything very clearly. He cleaned up after himself. We are so happy to have found someone who was willing to take care of all these repairs and look forward to having him back again!

I have used Hansen Home Works for quite a few projects and have been happy with all of Gunner's work from redoing a deck,replacing a window to built in bookcases on each side of the fireplace. I like that he is willing to do the smaller jobs others won't. For this project he used the big heavy railroad ties to build up the sides on an existing raised bed. I was very please with the result and thankful he squeezed me in so I could plant before it got too cold.

He was polite and everyday before he left he would clean up. I go downstairs and look in my basement and I can't believe all he did for the price and how much I love it. we were super lucky that he was able to start right away because another project got postponed . I totally recommend Gunner its nice to find someone honest and not get a surprise bigger bill at the end.

He completed the work on time and on budget. Gunnar performed all the work himself. He is very meticulous and exacting. He is also up to date and conscientious about building codes. Gunnar reminds me of Old World Craftsmen, he is that resourceful, and conscientious. I have used Gunnar previously on different work on our rentals. He has replaced a shower pan and floor including new linoleum. He has also laid ceramic tile in our home wash room and stair landings. His work is excellent and I won't use anyone else, even if it means waiting longer than I wanted to. His work is that good.

Gunnar spent the better part of 5 days at our home which is in the historic Highland Park district. Being over 100 years old, our house was built with some unique features and details. Therefore, we wanted to make sure we found an experienced carpenter to do the work that was needed. We were very pleased with the results and love the new look of the alcove which had originally been designed and built as a separate, albeit tiny, room. Many changes had been made over the decades by former owners and none of them were inspiring or attractive. Gunnar was so attentive to detail, and the room, with its built-in bookcase, looks like it was original to the house. The window sill in the inglenook had been water damaged and covered with contact paper. The new one had to be cut in an intricate way to fit around the window and it is so beautiful, as are the new surfaces around the fireplace mantle and elsewhere. The only thing we were not prepared for during this project was the dust that settled everywhere - mostly from the sanding in the inglenook, even though we had moved and covered our furniture. It took a considerable amount of time to clean but at least that is in the past.

Prompt and efficient. Arrived on stated day, worked every workday until project was completed. He displayed knowledge and professionalism in his work. Will hire again as need arises.

I'd called a few months before and knew it would be about a month before Gunnar could come, which was fine. That time came and went, with no contact. He called me back after another month or so, briefly explaining the delay and following up to see whether we still needed the work done. I was hesitant by this time, but arranged for him to come a few days later. Gunnar showed up when scheduled, assessed the needs, asked questions to clarify, made a quick trip to shop for needed items, returned and got started while we and our guests carried on with the day. When finished, he shop-vacced to clean up most of the mess created by such work and briefly explained a few things about what he'd done. There was a bit more cleanup to do after he left -- maybe 15 minutes to vacuum a few places and wipe down bathroom surfaces -- but it wasn't bad. Gunnar purchased light fixtures, bathroom fan, and window blind based on walk-through and conversation with me that morning, and I was quite pleased with his choices for balance of price, features, and appearance. The installations look good. I am happy with his work.

He came out really fast and was good about coming out the same day so I was pleased. His email quote was detailed and the best I received.

Gunnar Hanson is an excellent carpenter and all around handy man. He is efficient, tidy, and conscientious. He arrived when he said he would and worked very quickly. He finished our job early and under his original bid. His skills and craftsmanship are superb. He is meticulous with details and is professional and friendly.

I am the Alumni Board President for a fraternity at the University of Utah which also makes me the landlord. There were four door jams that were damaged and three doors that needed replacing due to damage. I contacted Gunnar Hanson and we made arrangements to meet at the fraternity house on 05/30/2013 at 8:00 AM. He was there waiting for me to arrive. We looked at the repairs needed and we agreed on the work. He obtained the needed supplies and worked all day to repair the door jams and replace the doors. This work required that he cut the doors to fit and make sure the door jams all worked so the doors would shut and lock. He was very professional and the work was excellent and completed in a timely manner. I would definitely use him again when needed.

Gunner did a great job. He came at 8:00 am and worked until 5:00 pm. No breaks. He does his thing, no fuss, no muss. I'd use him again.

The only reason I wouldn't hire him is it is hard to hire friends to do work. I can only say that we were neighbors. I have seen the work he does from being inside his home. The projects he showed us that he did in his own home were very professional. He is a very friendly person. In our conversations we could tell that professionalizm in his business was very important.
