Knockout Roofing

REVIEW UPDATED (read to the bottom): Ashley at Knockout knocked on my door a few weeks after the hailstorm in Farmington. So far, she has been awesome to work with. She promised a no-hassle experience, and has delivered. Ashley showed me the damage to my roof and explained how to file an insurance claim. Once I filed the claim, she promised to work directly with the insurer to make sure everything was covered. On the day the insurance adjuster came to inspect my house, I had a conflict at work and couldn't be there. Ashley came in my place (as she promised) walked through the inspection with the adjuster, and made sure every little ding and dent was covered and accounted for. Knockout works off the insurance company's claim and if something needs to be added along the way, they work directly with the insurance company to cover it so you don't get stuck with the difference (other than your deductible). So far, the claim and estimating process has exceeded my expectations. I'll update this review once my new roof is on the house. Here's the update: BEWARE!!!! Working with Knockout was a terrible experience that I truly regret. First, don't believe the reviews you read. When I initially signed up with this company after a wind storm, they knocked a few hundred dollars off the price if I would leave a positive Google review. In other words, positive reviews you see are probably fake. What I wrote above was accurate at the time and the sign-up experience truly was good. Unfortunately, it was full of lies. Two years later, my claim is finally finished. Contrary to what Knockout represented during the sign-up process, they do NOT work off the insurance approval and they do NOT do all the negotiating with your insurance on your behalf. If you hire Knockout, prepare to do that yourself. In my case, insurance approved a very clear scope of work for Knockout. Knockout then proceeded to do whatever work they wanted, and billed about $10,000 extra to insurance, which insurance promptly rejected. For the next 18 months, I spent hours and hours going back and forth between Knockout and insurance trying to get things resolved. It was a nightmare. I hired this company to avoid all that, and it was an outright lie. When I asked for a discount based on all the hours and work I put in doing THEIR JOB, they threatened to sue me and lien my house. Here's a tip: check court records before you hire Knockout. In the last three years, they've been involved in nearly 20 lawsuits. Along with their owner, Jared Garn, they've been sued for fraud, for shoddy work, for putting illegal liens on customers' houses, for failing to pay their employees, for filing frivolous lawsuits, and in one case for taking hundreds of thousands of dollars of insurance money from an elderly person an never fixing their house. My advice: STAY AWAY FROM KNOCKOUT ROOFING AND JARED GARN. You will regret it.

These people are incredibly criminal, dumb and generally bad at their job. Pretty sure they will be out of business soon. Don’t be their next victim!

DO NOT USE!!! Even though they replaced my parent's roof under an insurance claim, they still charged extra (which my parents paid to try to solve the situation) and are now sending my parents to collections over $18,000 in "Late payment fees". We have spoken with everyone at the company, including the owner and they have been HORRIBLE to my family.

Be ready to be on there schedule. Not yours. 16 Weeks Late and still not done. Signed Paperwork in June with a 6-8 week lead time then paid 50% upfront $6800 and at 8 weeks I contacted them and they said they couldn't get to it till end of October. (So that puts me at 17-18 Weeks out.) Spoke to president Jared with issue and he said he would fix and sent over project manager and said he pushed my job up but that was not the case at all. On the start date I called and Jamie in production said that they didnt move anything and they will try to get to it by end of October. (19-20 Week) All they said was they had issues and they cant do anything. Do Not Use This Company If You Value Honesty and Good Business Practices.

What a bad experience. I told the salesman that I needed all of the two sections of my roof that have had repeated damage replaced. He gave me a bid for what I thought was that service and we agreed to the price. I was told that it would take 4-6 weeks to get the work done because we were in the busy season. I was okay with the wait until 6 weeks passed with out even a single communication from them. WOW! Nothing! My deposit was cashed immediately, but I wasn't even worth a call to let me know what was up. When they finally did come out - after I started calling every number I could find for them, they patched two holes in my shingles and left. While the patches look okay, that isn't what I thought I was buying. Either the sales guy misrepresented what I was going to get, or the repair guys didn't get the right memo. I'm not sure where the problem was, but I feel very cheated. Buyer beware! This isn't what I thought I was going to get, and getting them to do it was way harder than it should have been.

They told me they would get me a quote and it has been 4 months later, still nothing. i called them several times, nothing. They even called me last week to check up on what I needed to make a decision...I said, " A quote!" They said another salesman would contact me. We will see if it happens.

Very well. It was a difficult problem because the area needing the membrane was under a rooftop deck. Knockout Roofing was one of the few roofing companies I called that would even attempt it. They were honest, responsive, and got the job done at a very affordable rate. Would definite get them again.

My experience with Knockout Roofing was very positive. Kris came out to give me a bid; he spent a lot of time with me and explained all of my options. Kris was very friendly and professional. Once I accepted the bid, JD was my project manager. Even though JD is a busy guy he always responded to my texts right away. I had to push out the install date a few times and JD always accommodated me. On the day of the install, the crew showed up on time and replaced my entire roof in a single day! My house is small - the roof is less than 1500 square feet - but getting it all done in one day was pretty impressive! The crew was clean and professional while on-site. A few of my neighbors have membrane roofs, too, but I think mine looks the nicest.

I did have my roof redone by a company called Knockout Roofing.

These guys did a couple of roofs in the neighborhood so I gave them a call. They use high quality materials and gave the bid immediately. The two issue are important in that I had 5 bids, all were between $10,000- $12,000, where Knockout was $22,000. The neighbors didn't pay anywhere near that so I must look like a fish. Second they made an appointment to drop off the bid...should have been a 5 minute introduction. However, I got a 40 minute sales job...although very comprehensive presentation, my time is very valuable. Thanks

The job went well. Communication was great. Everything turned out beautifully. We are very happy with the results.

I thought it was a little high compared to other bids that I got. He was professional like anybody else, they had similar products, and everything. They were products that I was really aware of and well known so I went with another company. He was out here when he said he was going to be here.

They are the only one I could find and I will use them again in the future.

The job was done timely and there were no surprises. Everyone was professional and polite and kept me apprised of the progress.

We had a VERY custom roofing job. Of the 6 roofing companies that I had come look at the job, Knockout was the only one willing to even put a bid on it. The bid was reasonably priced. Jared and Ivan definitely knew there stuff and did an absolutely fantastic job making sure my roof would be leak free for many years to come. There were some scheduling mix-ups which caused the job to take a little longer than desired, but considering the complexity and customization that my roof required I really can't hold that against them. Great service, great price and great work. Would use again.

Ivan provided excellent explanations when I first met with him and discussed the project. Right up front he provided copies of his company's business license and certificates of insurance. He returned my calls promptly each time I had a question as I considered his bid. The work went just as he had said it would. During the job he and others kept me informed about what to expect. As he warned me, the old roof removal was a messy process, but at the completion of the job, everything was cleaned up beautifully. The quality of the work and the warranty offered were just what I was looking for. I am a very satisfied customer who would recommend Knockout Roofing to my friends and neighbors.
