Maria Maier with Gray & Associates was dismissive and unprofessional during an initial inspection of a rental property. She forgot hand sanitizer, so I wasn't allowed to test bathroom functionality, but touching doorknobs seemed to be fine. She also seems to have an outdated, preconceived notion as to who would qualify on the property (and the property was on the low end of the price range too), and acted as if she was disgusted to be dealing with me in person. As both a homeowner and a potential tenant, I don't see how her attitude would benefit either party. Will be avoiding Gray & ***. in the future.

I really wanted to find out more information and possibly submit an application for a rental owned by Maria Maier, a property management specialist for the company. She never answers her phone and when I finally got a hold of her through a text message she informed me that she had been out of town, so that was understandable. When I finally got the chance to talk about the property with her she was horrible. She did not listen to my wants or questions. She simply proceeded to tell me how nice the apartment is and then find out about my situation, but every time she found out more about me she would form opinions for me about what would not work for us about the place. For example, the unit was a third floor unit, and we were well aware of that, but when I proceeded to inform her that we have a newborn she stated for me that it would be uncomfortable to have to use the stairs. It really wasn't a big deal to my wife and I. After about 15-20 minutes of her telling me what I thought about the place she tried to sell us another property that wasn't anything like what we wanted. At the end of the conversation she did not even give us the opportunity to apply. She simply said she would call us back in a week if the place was still available. I called two days later (Monday) with the intention to apply, but of course they are already processing another applicant (which may or may not be true). I was very unimpressed with Maria. She did not listen to my concerns and seemed to push us out of the property we really wanted and had no problems with. I suspect because it is her personal property she wants to hand select the tenants. I had every intention of applying the first time we talked with her, but that was just bad business.
