Standard Fence

Standard Fence (Marty Bradbury) was hired to install a new cedar fence around our side and backyard. Unfortunately, he used a significant number of boards that were warped or bowed. It is extremely frustrating because there are huge gaps in a number of places, where you can easily see into neighbors yards (eliminating privacy & one of the main reasons for putting in the fence). He first said he would provide replacement of the boards, but would not cover the labor to switch them out. I let him know it was unfair to use warped and bowed wood when installing fence and then turn around and tell us he would not provide the labor to replace them. He tried to blame it on movement after installation... but there was absolutely no movement after installation. And he reiterated that he didn't think he was responsible and that he would not do it! He then went silent on me and would not respond to my communications. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT HE WILL CUT CORNERS AND WILL NOT STAND BEHIND HIS WORK!!!

Marty and his crew did a great job. I was expecting them to install my fence within a week's time, but they came about half a week early and installed the fence in record time. The fence looks great and I couldn't be happier. Marty is a great person to work with.

Marty was very responsive to my texts. A crew came on a Saturday and worked hard. They returned the following Saturday and completed the project. They hauled away all the old fencing. There were damaged sprinklers and a cut Xfinity cable, but all were repairable, and probably unavoidable. I have a beautiful Trex fence in front and a beautiful wood fence in back. The guys did great work! I will use them again!

Marty and his team are great to work with. They always get the job done in a timely manner without any problems. We love working with Standard Fence.

I had to call back twice to ask for an estimate. Each time he said he would get an estimate for me but he never did.

Reached out via this site for bids. After a couple days, I actually called their office number and asked if I would hear from someone. Later that day I received an email from someone who stated they could likely bid the job without a site visit. I provided them a sketch of the property and the types of materials desired. This was the end of our interaction. They never bid the job, never communicated that they were not interested in the job. I found the entire experience disappointing considering the company has a lot of very positive reviews.

I highly recommend Standard Fence. The fence and gates work was excellent. Marty Bradbury, the owner and his crew do meticulous, professional work. I needed two fences, a wider double gate on one side of the house with two gate panels, and second single gate on the other side of the house. Since both fences face the south and are vulnerable to the strong winds from that direction, gate and fence posts were extra sturdy. The gates themselves were reinforced with metal to prevent warping and sagging. The fences themselves were thicker than the usual picket dimensions as were the gates. The fence structure and posts were placed in concrete and allowed to cure before the rest of the fence was put up. I repeat myself here, Standard Fence is a company that I will use again, should I need their services.

Terrible communication and had to call them 4-5 times. When I finally got in touch with someone, their quote was 4 times higher than what we had priced out for materials and labor- just ridiculous

All went well. The only complaint was about the clean up after the job. Not a huge deal...

The fence is great. Marty and his team did a fantastic job. The quality is excellent and I would highly recommend them. They worked with us to meet our needs and communicated with us until they knew we were satisfied. We may have them back to redo some of our existing fence in the Spring!

Scott was fantastic to work with! I highly recommend him. The fence is beautiful and very well built and secure for my dog. He made a bid and was able to start the next week. He was there every day and finished in 3 days.He showed up when he said he would and completed the job so quickly. A hard worker and a pleasure to work with!

I haven't heard back from anyone that i requested a quote from! Very frustrating!

He called within minutes of posting on Angie's List. Dropped by on his way elsewhere, and completed the task w/in 1/2 hour. Pleased with the work he did, and the price. Would definitely hire him again for other fencing projects when/if they come up.

Not good. Person came out, took measurements & left. Even though estimate was promised via text last week. Estimate never delivered. Several more text inquiries from me. No response. This has been a disappointing and definitely an “F” experience. I do not recommend Standard Fence.

After the 1st call from my original inquiry with Angies List, I sent pictures as requested on May 9. No Response. On May 30 I received a text, "did you get an estimate?" I replied No - not that I'm aware and inquired where it may have been sent to? There has been no Response since then. Your survey required that I answer the question "Would you hire again?' so I had to click yes or no, but the question is not applicable if I never had the opportunity to hire them in the first place.

Standard fence did an awesome job installing a fence around the length of our property. I had several companies come and give me quotes and theirs was the most affordable, but that’s not the reason why we picked them. Marty was very responsive to my text and emails, he was patient to work with my questions on types and pricing but most importantly he showed up when he said he would. The actual fence install was great. They came when they were scheduled. The crew worked fast and kept our yard looking clean and nice. And the finished product looks great. Thanks Standard fence! Highly recommend.

Marty was a pleasure to work with. First contact to job completion was less than 2 weeks. His crew also worked through terrible weather and completed the project faster than promised. The quality of materials and installation was substantially better than the existing gate, which was flimsy and poorly installed.

Marty did a great job quoting and installing our new cedar fence. He was very flexible in delivering a custom fence configuration within the schedule we requested, and extremely responsive by incorporating some suggestions to enhance the fence's appearance. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Marty. He delivered a high quality fence on schedule - at a very fair prices.

I reached out to Standard Fence for a quote after receiving one from a different company. He came to my home, walked the yard, and discussed the project with me. He contacted me a day or two later with his quote and it was a MUCH better number than the previous company. He sent me a detailed contract with the costs and timeline. I signed it, sent it back, and gave him half of the total project cost as a down payment. He and his crew began working at my house at the agreed upon date (about to weeks after the contract was signed), and they were able to finish in a very timely manner. They made sure that I was happy with the path of the fence before they began digging the post holes and confirmed that they were on the property line. The ground at my home was a mixture of rock/boulder, tree roots, and very little dirt. They were able to either get through or move the numerous obstacles to give me a beautifully straight and secure fence. Marty and his team were kind, pleasant, and easy to work with. I strongly recommend them. If I ever have fencing needs in the future, Marty and the folks at Standard fence will be my first call. Thank you again Marty!

I had a 20' privacy fence put up 20 years ago and was worried that it wouldn't be able to be matched when I had the additional 50' put up by Standard Fence. Marty assured me they could do it. I am very picky with how I wanted my backyard to look and Standard Fence delivered! Not only did they match it exactly but they did it three days ahead of schedule! Their workers were very professional and polite. They didn't even mind me hanging over their shoulders watching as they installed my fence in record time. I would definitely call them again if I need another fence! Thanks Marty!
