HM professional painting

I am a general contractor and hired Hector to to paint some baseboards and door casings. It was the worst paint job I have ever seen. He used a brush to put the paint on and everything was streaky with heavy brush strokes. The lines were not clean. He didn't paint casings on the inside of closets, he didn't paint the sides of the casings, just the fronts. I don't know if he thought I wouldn't notice? The homeowner was super upset with their sloppy work attitude. They carried around dripping paint brushes and didn't put down adequate protection so the floor was getting drips everywhere that the homeowner cleaned up. They flipped over the homeowner's rug to use as a drop cloth to put the paint bucket on. I'm an idiot and trusted him and paid him in full before looking at the job. I had to sand down everything, tape off everything and repaint on my own dollar. I tried to work with him to recoup some of the money, and he wouldn't respond to me. Beware! Do not hire him!

Had appt. all set up to come and give me an estimate. Never showed up or even had the professional courtesy to call or even send me a text. Left them voicemail and text messages, still no response. So ask yourself, is this the type of contractor you want to depend on for your painting needs?

Hector did a great job. He was helpful with paint choices and after every day of work walked me through what he had done to make sure I was happy with it. He was on time, courteous and professional.

HM did a great job with a tight timeline. They fixed a few things that they noticed during the project. It was nice to not have to take care of these items. Very professional.
