I went into Park City Blinds on Oct. 19th and ordered over $700 worth of blinds on the spot. On the 18th someone went to measure the windows and called to get my authorization to purchase them. I was unavailable, but returned the call a couple of hours later and left a message. This was Friday Oct. 20th. I called again on Saturday. I did not receive a call. Did not hear from them on Monday or Tuesday. Before close of business on Tuesday, I called them, and ordered the blinds. I was told my blind repair would be complete the next week. The new blinds installed, as promised, on the 30th. However, the blinds needing to be extended were not. I must explain, I'm replacing the blinds in a house that I want to sell and needed them as soon as possible. I explained this to the sales person and she was fully aware of the urgency. I also mentioned it every time I called. A few days later I called and they said they could not repair the blinds because they needed more louvers. I wondered when they had planned to share this information with me. Turns out, they did have what they needed, but had failed to follow the specific instructions I had given them. Another week passed and no word on the extended blinds. I called again on Nov. 7th to get an update. They had done nothing. When I asked when they would be finished. She said she didn't know. Well, it had been three weeks since I had requested this. I could not wait any longer, so I asked to pick them up and be refunded the price of the repair. She said she charge me for the repair. (At this point, I can't say if this is true or not. I remember getting a quote, and I believe it did not include extending the blinds, so this may be correct.) Regardless, I needed the blinds two weeks earlier when I was promised them, so I picked them up and took them to another shop who appreciated my business and finished them the very next day.

This company knows how to define customer service and satisfaction! After dealing with the BOX stores for weeks, we decided to go to a local source and are so glad we did. The BOX stores (HD and Lowes) shuffled us around from rep to rep and after many weeks STILL hadn't found a solution to our window dressing challenges. The day (actually the HOUR) we walked into PC Blind and Design - our problems were solved and an appointment was made for measuring and sample examination. Tim, the owner of the business came as scheduled - measured my windows and showed me samples of all options WITHOUT pushing me toward the more expensive brands. He made considerate suggestions and in the end I placed my order for 5 blinds. The price was no more than the discount BOX stores, the selection much greater and I was told about manufacturers specials I had not been told of in my previous dealings with the BOX stores. The expected time for delivery was 2 weeks and I received a call to set up installation (NO CHARGE by the way) within that time period. The installer came on time - did a great job - was professional and helpful and cleaned up EVERY thing before he left. I love my new blinds - spent no more than I would have at the discount stores AND received excellent (and I am assured - on going) customer service - NOT AVAILABLE at the BOX stores. I will use PC Blind for the rest of my window dressing needs in the future!!!!!
