Let me start out by saying that if these people come to your house and offer you some crazy deal DO NOT TAKE IT! About a week after the initial install I began to get low battery on all of the sensors. I called to have them come out and fix the problem. After waiting on hold for more than 30 minutes being number 1 in the queue I was transferred to an automated message saying that I have called outside of the normal business hours when I clearly have not. I called back again and after being switched from 2 different people saying the same things to both of them I was told that I would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours by the tech to make an appointment. I never received a phone call from a tech and this exact scenario happened two more times, before I asked the person on the phone to call the tech and make an appointment while I was on the phone. This process is so infuriating that I nearly canceled my policy on the spot. They informed me that I would be forced to pay 75% of the remaining contract which is the number derived above for approximate cost of service. When i was informed of how much I would have to pay, the lady seemed incredibly smug and condescending when she told me that. I want to cancel my service because it is nearly impossible to get someone out to make sure your system is working. This seems to be by design. They seem to want to frustrate you enough where they get your money and you get no services. The company seems semi-professional at best. I want to give an F all the way down the board because of how angry this company has made me, but in an attempt to be fair I didn't. The company address is the corporate address, but my service is at my home address. I am not sure if they have a building here in Riverview or not. I could only find the address of their corporate address from their website.

My back garage was robbed prior to the security system. The reason for getting the system was the back garage. A salesman came out, looked at the garage and the house and talked about what system would work best. The technician came out that evening and installed the system. In the middle of the night the alarm went off to let us know it had lost the connection with the garage. They said they had to order a new part. We told them if the systme did not work in the garage we wanted to cancel the contract. They kept telling us they could fix it. After the 5th attempt the garage was still not secure, so we tried to cancel. They would not let us. They do not call back. I feel taken advantage of.
Description of Work: Security networks put in a security system at my house. It included a coded monitoring system, motion motion and sound sensors and door alarms. They came back many times to fix the monitor in the back garage.

It's just been one thing after another with this company. They are supposed to help people, but we don't even know if the alarm system would even work if someone broke in. They told me once to have the contractor that was installing the door, that they should set the alarm for the new door, when they should do that. They never showed up. We didn't look for their business, they came knocking on our door, and we've got nothing out of it. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: One of their rep's, Jacob Motloch, came out and my husband talked to him. We had him give us some ID to make sure he was legit. He told us at that time, that our current home security system, ADT, was being taken over by Vision Home Security, and that we could avoid the installation fee by signing up. ADT had bought out another company prior, so we didn't think anything of it. He told us we had 3 days to cancel the system. The technician came out and was here until late trying to get the system running. Once he left, the system kept saying low battery. So, on May 10th, the house was unprotected. We called and asked that they send a tech out right away. That evening, a tech came out and got it working and he stated that he would be back on the 11th to check it again. On the 11th, it was still saying low battery. So the house was unprotected that night as well. Then the tech responded on the 13th and worked on it for 3 hours. He said he would need to replace the whole system and that he would come back on the 14th, but he never showed or called. That evening, we called the 800 number and talked to Miss Mary to cancel the system and that it wasn't working form the 9th to the 14th. She then gave me two phone numbers to call. Both of those phone numbers were recordings that said to call 911 if we had a problem. I called Miss Mary again and told her I would like to cancel the complete service. I got a call from Steve in customer service, I told Steve I wanted to cancel. He told me I could not cancel the contract because it went past the 3 day limit and that also we would have to pay the full contract fee of $2400 to cancel. Steve also said they have a recording from my husband stating that Vision is not connected with ADT, but no conversation ever took place. He would have never signed a new contract if we knew that this was not true. We thought it was a buyout situation. On May 14th, Steve sent installers to complete the alarm system setup. They installers did complete the work on the alarm system and it is now working, but I do not want to be in this contract because I was told that they were taking over ADT and they are not. I had no problems with ADT and want to stay with them. We also called ADT and they confirmed they are not affiliated with Vision in any way. On July 17, we notified Vision that we were having a new entry door installed a week later, on July 27. I was told to call Vision customer service on the evening of July 26 to disconnect the alarm for that entryway. We called on the 26th and we were told how to disarm the front door only and it was also done in the office too. Before hanging up the phone, we were told a tech would be at our address to reinstall the new door alarm. An appointment was set up with Bill between 3 and 4pm on July 28. At that time, my husband canceled his doctor appointment so we would be here for the tech to show up. The tech, Bill, did not call and did not show. At about 4:30 on July 28, we called the customer service to see when the tech would be here. We were told the tech would not be out today and that he was in the Baltimore MD area. I asked if anyone could come out today, and was told no. The customer service rep said they had no record of the appointment. I was then told that someone would be out on July 29 after 3:30pm. We called and talked to Tyler, who transferred us to Carmen, who then transferred us to someone named Colter, who stated the tech would be out on 7/29 between 8-9pm. That was yesterday, and no one showed and no call again. We called back this morning, and spoke to Eddie. He said he was sending me over to Vision and he said he would send a message to Vision about the tech not showing up and that they would call me back today.

On 6/17/2011, I was approached by their salesman as I was entering my home. The salesman said homes in this area were being robbed and asked if I owned my home. I would not give him any information, told him I was not interested. He continued to press me for information at which time I told him to get off my property. He followed me and I told him if he did not leave I would call the police, which I subsequently did. The police dispatcher talked to him and told him to leave. He did not. A police officer was dispatched. In the interim, he remained on my property, dropped my phone, and then had the audacity to videotape me with his cell phone. This went on for approximately 15 minutes until the police arrived. He left just prior to the police arriving. After describing him, the police went after him. He was ticketed for trespassing and I am filing for an order of protection at this juncture. This man did not seem to understand the inappropriateness of his actions. My family has asked that I file an a restraint order. I had not ever met this man nor seen him prior to this. I felt threatened. I have emailed the company but have not received a response. This company is associated with GE. I have emailed them and received a response, giving me contact information for the company.
Description of Work: This company has door-to-door salesmen in the Peoria Illinois area.
