They were available to make service call to diagnose the problem the same day I called. Service tech was familiar with my machine and made quick diagnosis, apparently common problem/failure. They had parts available and returned next day and repaired the machine.

Our nearly new microwave had sparked from a screw in the back of the oven. Once Quality was contacted (found them on Angie's List) the tech was prompt on the date of service. He did a full diagnostic, pulled the oven out and tightened a screw that had loosened! There would have been no way that we would have figured out what was wrong without the diagnostic. Hated to have to pay as much as we did for tightening a screw (couldn't find our copy of the warranty), but in the end, the job was done quickly. The tech replaced contents of the 2 cabinets above the microwave in order to remove the unit from the wall and he also cleaned up after himself. We would definitely use Quality again.

They did a good job. They took off the $50 trip fee, it was $260 to fix the microwave. Everything was good. They fixed it and they came when they said they would. I think they're reasonable, the part was really expensive on this particular task. They were pretty quick to come out.

We were quoted over $600 for the replacement of a water valve and an ice maker sensor for a 2000 Kenmore refrigerator. The technician spent 15 minutes and spent most of that time looking up model numbers for replacement parts. We ordered the parts and fixed it ourselves ($170) and ONLY needed to replace the water valve. The ice maker works great now. We recommend hiring a different company that is willing to troubleshoot and diagnose vs. charging you through the nose to replace parts which don't need to be replaced. I work in the medical field and know to avoid physicians who want to operate on everything vs. ordering a few tests to rule out other things first.

I said everything I need to say in the services performed note above.
Description of Work: The first time I called the company I finished my phone conversation and thought I had an appointment early in the week. There was a misunderstanding of some sort. While I awaited another repair person I called and discovered my appointment with Quality was not for another week. I got upset. They fit me into their schedule before the week was over. I do not like the use of the computer to get my receipt. I could not open the email they sent. And I had to call them to ask for a hard copy to be mailed to me. The guy had everything he needed to get the door handle back onto my dishwasher. He covered his shoes to do the work.

The technician was on time and professional. The diagnosed the problem (broken belt) and he had to make a call and do research to see if he could find a new one since my drying was 20-30 years old. He did that while he was at my house and told me it would be about a week before the part was in and at that time the office/scheduler would call me to set up another appointment. The belt came in on time and the dryer was fixed. Both the technician and the office/scheduler people were very nice and kept me up to date on what was happening. I will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I had an old dryer that was making an awful noise. I wanted someone to look at it and diagnose the problem and tell me if it could be fixed for less than buying a new one.

They were friendly and professional. I called to schedule an appointment, and they were able to repair my oven within two days. The technician arrived on time and diagnosed the problem; he happened to have the part I needed, so the oven was repaired the same day. The entire repair took less than 30 minutes. I'm satisfied overall, but a $185 for a part that cost less than $50 and took less than five minutes to install seems a bit outrageous. But, my oven works and I am happy.

I cleaned my 1996 convection oven and after it completed the cleaning, it tripped the circuit breaker. We put the power back and tried the oven again, but it didn't appear to heat up as quickly and when I canceled and restarted it, the breaker went out again. I called QAS and they were able to come the same day. They made an appointment for 3, then called around noon and said they could come earlier if I wanted. The man was very professional. He pulled out the stove (wall stove) and checked it out thoroughly. In the process he accidently scratched wallpaper. He determined that the problem was with the breaker and not the oven. He asked me what I'd like him to do regarding the scratched wallpaper - he offered to waive the trip cost and diagnostic cost (I think it would have been around $50 total). I accepted that. He was very apologetic and I don't fault him for the tear...it was unforeseen and not really due to any carelessness on his part. I would definitely call this company again. I felt he was honest -- he could have told me that we needed a new part and I would have believed him.
Description of Work: My 1996 convection wall oven appeared to not be working correctly and was causing the electrical breaker to trip. I called to have the oven looked at and to get a diagnosis and estimate to repair it.

The service technician showed up promptly on time and looked at the broken dishwasher and quickly identified the problem. He needed a part and agreed to return the following day at a time when we would be home from work. I was able to return to work having missed only a normal lunch time. He returned the following day promptly at 6:00 and installed the replacement part. the technician pointed out what caused the damage and what we should do in the future to prevent it from happening. He provided us with a free sample to clean the dishwasher and what to do going forward. He also looked at our oven and recommended we not use the self cleaning function as it tends to damage the electronics. We would use them again.
Description of Work: Our Kitchenaid dishwasher had stopped working. We had noticed a noise the last few times but thought it was the result of how it had been loaded. What had happened was that something had made it to a point where it had seized up the motor and when it was replaced had leaked oil under the dishwasher.

The total lack of understanding of my plight ticked me off. It's one thing not to be able to respond. It's something else entirely to be deaf to it.
Description of Work: My dishwasher was leaking flooding the kitchen and destroying the room downstairs and there were sparks coming from it. After explaining this to them they asked to come out the next day...not what I call emergency service...without even explaining why they could not respond sooner.

My oven broke, they repaired it just fine...but later I began seething about being overcharged for the part. Our electric oven had put on scary light show and then wouldn't shut off. I called the manufacturer who told me most likely the broiler element had gone bad, they would send me a new one for $30. I didn't want to fix it myself so I had these guys come out. The estimate was $100 for labor and $76 for the new element. They charged me $76 for a $30 part! This is the first time I have needed an appliance repair. All of the companies I called about making the repair seemed to charge the same for labor, I'll try another company next time and hope for a fair price on parts. I feel cheated by this company.

The tech, Hannibal, called 30 minutes prior to coming, just like we asked and showed up right on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had parts with him and had it repaired in about 30 minutes. The only reason I gave a B on price is because it was a bit pricey, but my guess is that it would have been so with someone else as well; we didn't shop around for estimates. The light switch on the door was also broken, but he told us where we could go get the part and replace it ourselves, which my husband did. He also informed us that after the first of the year, the part price would go up since it will then only be available through the manufacturer as opposed to an OEM, less expensive part. I was very happy that he gave us the heads up and had us just take care of it since I'm sure it saved quite a bit for such a simple part. Hannibal also gave us some tips on care and maintenance for the fridge and our dishwasher as well. He was very nice, helpful, and we will certainly call him again if we need to in the future.

My dishwasher is broken so I called to have it repaired. They were willing to come out within the week I called, but I wanted to wait til the next week to schedule it. The repairman arrived right on schedule, he was friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. He answered my questions and gave me my options. It was $10 to get someone to my house (SSL) and an additional $40 to look at it and figure out the problem. I think they waive the $40 diagnostics if service work is done. He priced the repairs at $450 dollars, so I decided to not have the work done. He was able to tell me it is a 15 year old machine, and he recommended types of dishwashers I might try. He also recommended a couple of used dishwasher sale locations, which was nice.
Description of Work: A repairman came to my house to diagnose the problem with my dishwasher. He estimated the cost of repairs, and when I decided it was too much he put everything back together for me. I asked if they did bulk rates as my washing machine and dryer are broken too. He laughed and said no.

The washing machine would not spin fast and if it did had an awful vibration. The vibration was cause for concern since the washer is located on the second floor. The technician came to evaluate the work needed for the repair on a Monday and due to a busy schedule returned in the same week on Wednesday to complete the repairs with original Kenmore parts. The repairs, new pump and replacement shock, were finished within 30 minutes and the technician was careful to explain the reasons why the damage had occurred and preventative measures for future up keep of the machine. He was also extremely helpful at suggesting better ways to operate the washer, for example using much less detergent and taking extra care not to overload the machine. The next day I found that one of the hoses was leaking. After calling the technician he suggested what type to replace them with and how to perform the replacement which helped save extra expense. Overall a very positive experience and I would highly recommend the company for appliance repairs.

We are about to move and the microwave decided to call it quits. Quality Appliance fixed it for a very reasonable price and the technician was honest and upfront. My only complaint is that they were scheduled to arrive between 3-6 p.m. and didn't make it until 7:30 p.m., but that is sometimes how it goes with any service company. I would use them again.

My washer spewed water. I called them and they were out within 30 min (they had a tech in the area). They were super responsive to my issue and the fact that I couldn't wait a week or more (like the other place I called) because I was in the process of potty-training my kid. The tech came, realized that the gasket had come loose, put it back on and then said that he didn't feel right in charging the trip fee ($34.99?) because it was just around the corner, nor the evaluation fee ($10?), because it was such a simple fix, and said just to call if it gives me any more problems and they'll order the part. I will totally call them again to come fix the next appliance that breaks!

Very well. The clipper was repaired. The heater turned out to be unrepairable; he took the time to explain exactly what the problem was, and why it could not be fixed. (He had said in advance that he thought it was unrepairable; I told him to take it apart anyway, and that I would pay for time involved. The $37 includes this.)
