Jared Fenn of Pillar to Post insepcted two homes for us. The first one we ended up not buying because of problems found on the inspection report. Jared was extremely punctual and professional. He is compulsive and detail-oriented which are important qualities in a home inspector. We appreciated his talking through the inspection report with us item by item and giving us tips on things he did in his own home as well. Would definately recommend him.

It went great. Jared ended up coming about 1 hour late. The company did call us and let us know he would be late though. We were actually happy to know he didn't rush his inspections just to stay on schedule. It gave us confidence to know he was complete and thorough. He spent 4 hours on our inspection and answered all of my husbands questions. We would definitely recommend Jared as a home inspector.

Steve Smith was able to set an appointment and provide an estimate during my initial phone call. He arrived at the site a couple of minutes early, explained how he would proceed and went to work. I felt he thoroughly examined all systems. He was on the roof, in the attic and in the crawl space. He checked every single electrical outlet, faucet, doorknob and window. This was exactly the service I was looking for. He performed in a very professional and objective way. I learned a great deal about the home and was able to make some informed decisions.

Our Realtor arranged for Steve Smith to come and inspect a home that we were purchasing. We had used Pillar to Post one time before and had a good experience. I remember Steve showing up a little bit late, but he did a great job once he arrived. I walked around the house with him and was able to ask a number of questions. Pillar to Post has a custom software package that their inspectors use that ensures they go over everything. Steve seemed to be almost overly cautious as he went through the house which was exactly what I wanted in someone who was inspecting a home we were going to purchase. He was able to find a couple of things (i.e. a crack in the furnace) that the home sellers fixed for use before we moved out. He also took pictures of anything that concerned him and left us a notebook with a detailed description of all of his findings.
