We are first time home-buyers. We really wanted to stay within a certain budgeted range in addition to getting a great deal on a house. We worked with Barbara and Peter Dill. They are a great husband and wife team! If one wasn't available to do something, the other generally was. We were always able to get into the houses we wished to see. Peter was really great at showing us things about houses that may be hard or expensive to fix. That helped us greatly with our housing choice. We saw houses we may have liked and may have offered on, were it not for the problems with the houses that were pointed out. I feel they generally had our best interest at heart. Peter was also wonderful in making sure we knew what specific hosing codes were. For example, when we would come across a house with a banister, he made sure to let us know the code of how close they have to be together so little kids can't stick their head in and get stuck. Barb was amazing at explaining the logistical items involved. Many houses on the market today are short sales. We didn't know anyone who had experience with those and so had many questions about the process. She was very open about everything and even pushed other realtors for us to get things done as best as she could. The main reason we chose these individuals as our realtors was because you can almost always get a hold of them. When we were searching for a realtor, we literally spent most of one saturday calling and calling different phone numbers, trying to get someone to answer, or call us back. These individuals were the only ones who answered, or even responded. This worked really well for us in the end as it stayed consistent through our entire home buying process. We could call, or email and receive answers to questions immediately. We actually ended up working with these individuals for 6 months before things went through; finally purchasing our first home. During this long time, they never seemed annoyed (as some realtors can get) that we hadn't purchased one, or at how many houses they had shown us.
Description of Work: We were looking to purchase a home. We walked through multiple houses, wrote offers on many short sales and were even taken to closing with them.
