I found Steve Lowe from a referral from Dal Tile in Orem. My wife and I hired a contractor to build a 22 ft x 20ft addition on our home. The contractor installed the tile in the addition, kitchen, and hall ways about 700 square feet. The tile was laid improperly and we begin to have problems immediately. We ended up firing the contractor over the tile and several other problems. Steve Lowe was one of the several contractors that I had contacted to evaluate the problems we had with the tile laid by the original contractor. Steve was the only one who was willing to deal with the problem. He suggested that all the tile be removed and re-install per his specifications. My wife and I removed all the original tile and all the materials used to install the tile. Steve prepared the base with metal lath and acrylic sand mix. He then re-installed all the tile using all the tile he could from what was salvaged from the original tile. Because of the many problems we had with the original contractor, Steve under bid the job and gave a special price. Because of our situation, he gave our job top priority, and finished the whole job in about 14 days! He took the time to instruct me how to best remove the old tile and to prepare the area for the new tile. Steve did a very professional job! He was fast, precise, and he worked on the job for long hours to get the job done. He consulted us and made very helpful recommendations all during the complete construction process. My wife and I filed a small claims law suite against the original contractor for the cost to replace the tile. Steve testified in the trial as an expert witness. He did a marvelous job! He explained to the court very effectively all of the poor actions and decisions made by the contractor that caused the problems. Steve won the case for us! Because of his knowledge and experience, he convinced the court that the contractor was negligent. The contractor even had a lawyer to try his case. Just recently we asked him to return and tile a bedroom of 156 square feet. Again Steve was prompt, precise, and competed the job in a very timely and professional manner. Steve is my very good friend, and I would recommend him to anyone! We will in the near future ask him to return again to do the cement work to replace our old driveway. Also he was so kind by allowing me to use his miter saw for two weeks to install the base boards in the recently finished bedroom.
