Description of Work: One of the Burrows people came out to give us an estimate on a heating & a/c unit for our home. He came, he went, with the promise of having an estimate to us by 2pm the following day. We never saw nor heard from him or the company again. The End.

water heater repair
 + -1 moreWe accepted their bid and was scheduled for the next day, between 8 a.m. and noon. They arrived at 8:10 a.m. They started by putting a protective drop cloth on our stairs leading into the basement. They then proceeded to remove and replace the water heater. They finished up in about 2 1/2 hours total time. They cleaned up the work area, including vacuuming the stairs. They took the old water heater with them. Total price was $100 below their estimate. Very satisfied with their work. Very professional. No coarse language, unlike some other contractors we've used in the past. Would use them again.
Description of Work: First, had an estimate on a new water heater.

 + -1 moreI noticed the A/C was not working properly in my mom's house. So, I called and made an appointment for the next time I was available. Mike Burrows, one of the owners, came. He was quite late, but it was an unexpected problem, and they are typically very prompt. Fortunately, I had the time, so it worked out. But, for someone who was on a tight schedule, this could have been a real problem, though. Mike checked the central air compressor and noticed that the level of refrigerant was quite low. So he added the proper amount and checked the system for leaks. He also took the time to check the entire (furnace) system to make sure there was no problem with it. One unique thing that happened on this occasion was that Mike had his "tween" grandson with him and had him help with some aspects of the job. The effort did not take away from the task at hand, and I was pleased to see the boy learning some useful skills. The emphasis was on doing a GOOD job, and that was worth any miniscule extra time that the job might have taken.
Description of Work: The central air in my mother's home didn't appear to be working right. The level of coolant/refrigerant didn't seem to be right, so it was added. The cost shown was for the service call and the product needed. The entire system was also checked to ensure it was working properly. I've also had this company repair an existing furnace in my home and install a new furnace in my home. My mother also had them install a gas fireplace in her home. So I have had (and observed) multiple interactions with them.

 + -1 moreBurrows is an excellent company to come in and perform your maintenance. I would recommend them to anybody. They do quality work. He came the day after I called and he actually showed up early.
Description of Work: Mike Burrows came to inspect the furnace. He cleaned the burners, adjusted the flow of the gas, checked for leaks, cleaned the filters, and checked the motor for the fan. I have this done annually.

Description of Work: My heating pipes in my home were installed incorrectly when the house was built, condensation occurred, which plugged the pipe. The contractor reangled a joint in the piping which solved the problem.
