Advanced Door LC

We bought a coupon for the garage door tune up. They were great. They arrived on time and were professional. Our garage door has been loud and created popping sounds. They found a couple issues. We had a brace put in for additional $120. They had let us know the issue and the cost to fix it and we were okay the price. They inspected and fixed the issue all within an hour. I would use them again.

The service was good. Just one worker came out. It took him thirty minutes the first time and then, he had to come back and re-adjust it and that took about ten minutes. It was pretty fast. He cleaned up when he was done. Everything was perfect. They are fair and honest. They do not try to put in any hidden charges or exorbitant fees or charge you for something that was not necessary. He was a few minutes late. He was a nice guy and I would use them again in the future.

He was very prompt and did very competent work. I was very pleased.

It went great. I scheduled it, they showed up and performed the service. They did a good job.

They were very good! They came at my convenience and it was great. They came out within 1 or 2 days of me calling them. He was very nice, helpful, and did it fast and good, and it works great. He is a very nice representation of the company. Everything has been working perfectly since.

At the time of the service there was some issues with the repairman. I was not happy. However, when the management of Advanced door learned of the problems they contacted me and made everything right. I appreciate the professionalism of the management of Advance Door and will use them again in the future.

Came on time and quickly identified problem as a poorly mounted garage door motor track. Repaired for $49 total and door functions normally now.

I personally felt they were expensive. The $49 offer was teaser to find other problems with doors and charge more. I had a hard time paying the fees as after I had them service my doors, I realized I was taken advantage of. Bummer.

Paul stopped by and gave us estimates for both basic repair and a new door. We decided to go with the basic repair, and Curtis came out a few days later as scheduled. He replace the rollers and re-hung the tracks so that they are now much more securely fastened. This basic service only took about an hour.

Overall very good service. The technician contacted me when he committed to. He was courteous and punctual. He clearly explained everything in the service package and provided economical solutions for additional services. Although I would have liked a bit more direct schedule when we first contacted the service, after a couple of emails everything worked out fine.

I asked him to lubricate it because it was noisy. He did and sprayed oil all over my car. If he had asked me to move it because this would happen I would've been happy to. That was one of my first experiences with Angie's List and I was not impressed.

Arrived on time and did a great job quickly. They do see to have set services they want to provide that increase ether cost. Needed cables replaced and they also changed all wheels (probably unnecessary) and wanted to add structural beams that are also unnecessary. Otherwise, fantastic.

As it happened, the power went off and we were unable to open our door and the keypad would not work in the cold. This happened over the weekend after I bought the special and before the technician came. We were stuck home during the almost 24 hour power outage because we couldn't get into our garage to drive the car. He fixed everything and got us a second remote and said he'd bring a key to release the (very heavy) door during power outages. We are still waiting for the key...but are very happy with the service. I am reminded, now to contact him about the key.

They were very nice but misunderstood and the $49 dollar Big Deal did not help me at all. There were extra cost to the big deal. Also they said they would call me when the parts came in but they never called me and I had to call them to figure out where they are.

The provider was courteous and professional and substantially improved the functionality of my garage door which is older and will need replacement in a few years. The parts cost felt a little on the high side but the Big Deal covered the labor. The work quality was very good and the door is now running smoothly and quietly. The extra bracing adds few years of life to the door until I am ready to replace.

My old garage door opener was having trouble receiving a signal from the remote. Even standing just a few feet from the door it sometimes wouldn't open. The technician from Advanced Door who came to look at it was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He offered a couple of options to remedy the problem, and also suggested replacing the old steel rollers on the door with nylon rollers. I was going to ask about replacing them anyway, and the price he quoted was significantly less than a competitor who serviced the door a few years ago. He also didn't try to hard-sell me on anything, which was much appreciated. I decided to upgrade to a new opener as my old one was 20 years old. Between the new opener and the nylon rollers my door now opens *very* quietly! From inside the house you have to really be paying attention and have it quiet to even know the door is opening. We were still having problems with the opener receiving a signal though, although it was improved compared to my old opener. I had tried unplugging everything I could think of that would cause interference (internet router, battery chargers, Blu-ray players and gaming systems with wi-fi, you name it), but still had trouble. The technician made a couple trips back over the next few weeks to figure it out, and after trying a couple of solutions he found one that works perfectly. Advanced Door went above and beyond to get everything working just as it should. They have been a great company to work with. I would highly recommend them.

Replaced a strut, oiled all parts, checked all parts for wear and tear.

It worked out really well. We used them last July, right after we purchased the deal. I did not use them specifically but my wife was there when they came. She said he was very quick and efficient. It wasn’t hard to schedule a time for him to come over. He was able to fix further trouble that we didn’t know that we had.

Paul arrived right on schedule and got right to work. He was thorough, let me watch, and answered all my questions patiently and clearly. He is personable, articulate, thoroughly professional and fun to talk to. My door isn't new or fancy, but it now works like a million dollars! I couldn't be happier. This is a good company that really cares about its customers and its reputation.

We asked the provider to come and do a service on a new house we bought, as the garage door was problematic. He was punctual, communicated what he was doing very clearly, and identified some real problems we were not aware of and were very pleased to learn. He gave us a verbal quote on the work needed and let us know what our options were, let us decide what we wanted to fix, and then proceeded to fix out door. We were really happy with the service.

It went really well. The initial office contact was very helpful and friendly. An appointment was made for the following day. The technician called ahead of time to say that he was on the way and arrived on time. He got straight to work, examined the door carefully, told me what the problems were, and reviewed options. He said that he could provide necessary repairs to the door and gave me prices for every option. He was honest in pointing out problems that could not be fixed without replacing the door and offered a range of replacement doors without pressing the issue. He said that if he repaired the door it probably had another two to three years of use in it. We agreed on repairs. The repairs were effected in a professional and speedy manner and the door operated better than it had ever done before. I was very pleased with the service. The cost, at $200, struck me as just a little on the high side but most of the cost was for parts and the visit and labor were only $50.

I had some trouble originally scheduling the appointment because I didn't check my Angie's List inbox often enough to catch their emails trying to schedule an appointment within the next several days. They eventually called me to schedule the appointment. They were very accommodating with the dates and times. The technician was friendly and professional . When I explained about the door not closing, he told me there could be several different problems. 1) if the door started to close, stopped in mid-cycle and reopened all the way while the light was flashing, it indicated something in the way of the sensors. 2) if the door just stopped opening and did not move until the button/remote was pressed again, it indicated a problem with the electronic board in the motor assembly. That was very informative for me. If my memory serves me correctly, the door would reopen with the lights flashing. indicating something was getting in the way of the sensor. I also told him I had used WD-40 to lubricate the wheels/track, he suggested a brand of lubricant that would not collect dust and dirt. All together, it was a very pleasant experience. If the board fails, I would definitely call them to have the motor replaced.
